giorgio Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 City Life - This kit is simply spectacular. In one small box you get three road signs, a stoplight, a bench, a fire hydrant, a cart with box, and four minifigs - including another female! Man, I love everything about it! I think that the 8401 is named "Mini fig collection" and that a set named "City Life" is still to come. Or maybe I'm wrong ? Quote
Asuka Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Crane - Okay, what is with that giant one-piece crane shaft? I'm not usually against big molds if they serve a purpose, I draw the line at molds that big that have barely any construction points. I guess that´s not just one big´n clunky piece... look at this post from HoMa at 1000steine where you can see a very informative blowup... Quote
metalandi Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 This seems plausible to me, i really would have been disappointed if it was one big piece Quote
Darth_Legois Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 if you wont too see pics of the city sets and click on the link http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=337640 Do you have to post this in every 2009 topic? Theres link to it in heaps of sections already and just search it on BS http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?...5&start=135 No offence i just find it annoying that your posting the same thing in all these topics Quote
Skinny Boy Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 (edited) if you wont too see pics of the city sets and click on the link http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=337640 Plus, that link doesnt work. It says: folder not found. Though loads of folders have been made with the same pics. Edit: Actually a search on Brickshelf revealed nothing. Are the moderators deleting them? At TLC's request maybe? Lockt Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Although I am very excited about the farm and the construction site (no need for more cranes, but I really like the actual construction that is going on!!) I want to point out, like said before, what a gem the "city life" set is! Minifigs ok, but very very cool street funiture. Traffic lights, bench but most important of all: traffic signs are back!! I am really impressed with what lego will be throwing over us next year. My new house is almost finished, so I can start building and decorating my lay-out with all kind of new stuff! And the farm will require some inventive country-side terraining ;-) I am looking forward to this alot! *start looking for extra green base-plates for the farmers to work on...* Quote
Darth_Legois Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Or you could have have saved most of the pics like i did I did too i meant for the people that didnt save them Quote
Adverse Camber Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 I really like the new farm sets, especially the combine harvester. I actually started a harvester moc last weekend, half built and now parts again Also love the new construction sets too I saved the SW and Pirates pictures, and thought I'll save the city set pictures later Quote
takuto20 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 I am superexcited about these new rumoured farm sets. Thank GOD for cows, wow! We now need pink pigs, pretty PLEASE... Quote

Zarkan Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Lol? Umm havnt you seen the pics yet? I think he was probably joking. There was a tounge smiley right after the word "rumored," after all. Quote

Mr Hobbles Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Yup. Another year of spending far too much money on LEGO. As well as the fact that I still have to buy 10185 Green Grocery and 10184 Town Plan, I now have to buy: 8401 City Life 7635 Horse, Car and Trailer 7637 Farm & Tractor 7636 Combine Harvester I could also be persuaded by the Pirate Ship and the Port sets. I'm not too bothered about the construction sets though, the large majority of them are oversized and the others are <insert that tiresome argument>. They wouldn't be so bad though if I didn't already have all of the old 2005 construction sets. For me the real gem in 2009 is gonna be the Farm sets. They're outstanding. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 How are they rumored when with have pictures of them? . Officially, and more important legally, they're still rumoured. For me the real gem in 2009 is gonna be the Farm sets. They're outstanding. Indeed, they are rather neat. I might have to dig my old book of tractors from years ago out of the loft, just to celebrate. Quote
Mirandir Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Look at the front of the car in this set. What piece are those 1x1 Round Trans-clear plates put on? It seems to be hal a plate thick sugesting either this or this piece. But if it is too wide (1x6) to be the 2436 1x2 - 1x4 Bracket. And if it were the 44728 1x2 - 2x2 bracket wouldn't that be seen as a half a plate behind that black front too? Or is there any other piece that can look like that? Quote
Freddie Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I'm thinking it's one of these, with a 1 x 4 w/ round top to create the sumpguard. Place a pair of 1 x 1 round plates on either side, and you have the right effect. Quote
Matn Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I just noticed that the torso of the minifigure who is driving the combine harvester is this one: http://www.bricklink.com/PL/973pb298c01.jpg ,but in blue! Quote
