Nich Artri Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Hey guys! Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but when browsing the Lego aisle at the local Wal-Mart today, I spotted a slew of 2009 sets, including Creator, Bionicle, Power Miners, Indiana Jones, City, and Clone Wars (Murphy's Law would dictate that this would happen after I just spent all my Christmas cash at LS@H... - -; ). Mind you, my Wal-Mart is pretty horrible when it comes to Lego selection, so I'd like to see what the better ones in metro areas are doing. No sign of the Pirate sets yet, but I'm sure they'll be up and about soon. Cheers! Nich
THE-FORCE Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 Those new LEGO City sets looks like one of my ideas, when we got a chance to think something for 2009 City. Greets, The Force!
Dennimator Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Member lucasanakin has posted the pics directly on the site: edit:snip snip prelims confidential and watermarked
daxflame680 Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Yay, another one of those little creator houses! But why do these pictures always have to be so blurry.
Freddie Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 Because it's the exact same pictures resurfacing again and again and again? I'd myself would love to see sharper pictures, but since we only have to wait, like, what, five or six months 'til they're in stores, I'm not bothered at all. I've already decided that those are the sets I'll be getting in '09, along with the modular building, medieval market and the new train set. And blurry pics or not, what I see on those have satisfied me more than I expected '09 would.
Jvvv Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I think those pictures are a little bit sharper than previous ones? Does the kid with the skateboard (in bus set) have childrens legs or is he standing behind the skateboard?
natelite Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 I think those pictures are a little bit sharper than previous ones? Does the kid with the skateboard (in bus set) have childrens legs or is he standing behind the skateboard? no, he has regular legs. it's not a skateboard, it's a surfboard.
Dennimator Posted December 30, 2008 Posted December 30, 2008 no, he has regular legs. it's not a skateboard, it's a surfboard. No, it´s a skateboard: Linky And it looks like dark bley child legs! New color, yay!
posades Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Those legs do look shorter, and having them in a new color is always good for more variety in children (albeit children with long ape arms ).

I'm sure the people that didn't know apreaciate that info. no, he has regular legs. it's not a skateboard, it's a surfboard. Your wrong, its a Skate board. Doesn't make much sense to be riding a surf board down the side walk now does it?? Those also do apear to be childs legs, but with the picture being blurry, can't be 100% certain. Freddie Posted January 2, 2009 Posted January 2, 2009 (edited) I'm not seeing any mention of the new NXT anywhere, despite having kept a close eye on this topic. I think I'll sneak in the latest leak while it's still around. NXT 2.0 Central Computer Module. Edit: Apparently not the new NXT 2. My mistake! Edited January 2, 2009 by Freddie
mrchris Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 are there any rumours of some good creator buildings for this year. the town house was a great set i managed to pick up after it was discontinued but i got the last one and would love some more sets which are good to build and then use for moc buildings with a large number of good coloured pieces. or if only they did a brick bucket of just tan, greys, light blue, dark blue and dark red.
Jvvv Posted January 7, 2009 Posted January 7, 2009 2009 sets have finally arrived to Finland, too. Too bad we aren't getting Pirates until March. :( All the 3 new impulse sets were easily found too. I was glad that during my about 10-minutes-visit to hypermarkets LEGO shelf there were few kids admiring the new sets, too. Just like I used to do when I was younger. *sniff* Maybe this really is going to be a great year for TLC - and for us, too.
General Magma Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 *Activates sharp-eye mode* I can see it is a dark-blue skateboard, and the minifig on it has "dwarf-legs", in a bley color.
Pencoin Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Why won't the new sets come out in the England?!?!
Mirandir Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 are there any rumours of some good creator buildings for this year. the town house was a great set i managed to pick up after it was discontinued but i got the last one and would love some more sets which are good to build and then use for moc buildings with a large number of good coloured pieces. or if only they did a brick bucket of just tan, greys, light blue, dark blue and dark red. Well there is a blurry pic of 6754 Family House on brickshelf. The set seems to be about the same size as 4996 Beach House and it looks like it's tan. But due to the poor image quality it could just as well be in yellow.
Derek Posted January 9, 2009 Posted January 9, 2009 As much as I want another cheap house, I think that is the size of a $50-60 set.
