Well after some excitement about this awesome news I need to comment in the whole list  . First of, I am surprised that there are such small list of some themes like Technic which just have 2 sets  . Also Creator seems to pass a year with a few sets. The City line really intriges me cause of the strange selection of the TLC, normally they choose a whole selection of sets which are of the same class. Now in this selection they have a Camper, a Garage, an Air Turbine Vehicle  , this actually doesn´t make sense at all  , but whatever this sounds like good sets. I enjoy to see that PM are getting more sets that can actually make justice to the theme  . And why Pirates just get the advent calendar?

I just extract the new sets mainly in the second half of 2009, so the list is not all sets in whole year.

There are already 6 Technic sets in the first half of 2009, which are much more than previous years.

Therefore it is not strange that there are fewer new Technic sets in the second half of 2009. Same case in Creator.

There are already 8 Pirates sets released in early 2009, not only the calendar.

But I am curious is anyone mentioned that there will be new train system in 2009, but there is no any news yet.

7642 Garage

7686 Helicopter Transporter

7687 LEGO® City Advent Calendar

7747 Wind Turbine Transport

Star WarsPower Miners

8707 Boulder Blaster

8963 Rock Wrecker

8964 Titanium Command Rig

Apart from 8956-8961, these are the rest, which 8708 and 8709 are new finds.

These sound cool but the 7747 Wind Turbine Transport  sticks out the most maybe it will go under the farn sub theme?

Thank you very much for the list of the new sets, whung! :sweet:

The new City and SW OT sets sound really promising!

I can't wait to see pics!

The wind turbine transporter is the same one as Vestas and is almost the same as of the Vestas Shangai airport exhibition. Already seen a pic of it

Thank you very much for that information, Lord Santos! :sweet:

Great to hear that there'll be the same turbine for us available like for the Vestas employees and customers :cry_happy: - only that it's really a shame that we won't be aible to get the little lovely cottage and the great service vehicle which came with the promo version :cry_sad: .

There is something city known for new trains.

to shop at home comes from 1 ge I heard.

so if somebody knows something more

Thank you very much for that information, legomilk! :sweet:

That sounds good that the new train set will be a City set and not again only a train-building-set like the boring Hobby Train some years ago!

I'm not so sure about this. In my opinion they should just add more elements that appeal to girls in the themes. It's rather sexist to think that girls will only play with stuff that's pink (although because I work with little children, I know that this unfortunately applies to many little girls). :hmpf_bad:

What I'm talking about is more female minifigs in general (and this seems to be the direction the sets are heading, too), more peaceful sets like restaurants and shops to the City theme, and more animals and vegetation and such here and there. There are other things that children - both girls and boys - can play with and build besides cars and siege weapons and gigantic mecha-robots, you know?

(lot of Text)

Hmm, what was my point again? Oh yeah, they shouldn't recreate Paradisa as it's own theme again, just input those elements that were present in that theme to other themes. I think that the new Farm theme does this well, by the way, since it has elements that appeals to both boys (farming machines) and girls (taking care of animals).

Hear! Hear!

Actually from what I read in the shopownerscatalogue, the set with horsetrailer was exactly dedicated to attract girls. (and no pink piece in it  )

I find it very nice that we already have confirmed 3 female minifigs in normal citysets for the 2009 when it was the last years special when there was 1 female in the whole year.

I'm also happy with the pirates advent calender, the most Star wars sets and the second half city sets.

Waiting for pics of City corner  (maybe a low budget version of Cafe Corner?)

Wow, what a list! Lets get started!...

Space Police

5969 Squidman's Escape

5970 Freeze Ray Frenzy

5971 Gold Heist

5972 Container Heist

5973 Hyperspeed Pursuit

5974 Galactic Enforcer

5979 Max Security Transport

5980 Squidman's Pitstop

8399 K9-Bot

8400 Space Speeder

Apart from 5969-5974, there are 2 more sets 5979 and 5980, also 2 impulses 8399 and 8400.

While i'm not a huge space fan, its nice to see space police make a come back! Looking forward to some pics!

!

Creator

6751 Fiery Legend

6752 Fire Rescue

6753 Highway Transport

6754 Family Home

Looking forward to highway transport Though i am curious about the fire rescue.

Indiana Jones

7195 Ambush In Cairo

7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle

7197 Venice Canal Chase

7198 Fighter Plane Attack

7199 The Temple of Doom ™

The fighter plane attack sounds promising. I'm thinking a WWII fighter plane such as a Spit Fire or Mechersmitte 109 (sorry i know i spelt that wrong)

Racers

8169 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4

8182 Monster Crushers

8183 Track Turbo RC

8184 Twin X-treme RC

8185 Ferrari Truck

8186 Street Extreme

Very curious about the Ferrari truck. Maybe an updated Scudieria Hauler!

Technic

8258 Crane Truck

8265 Front Loader

Damm. Was hoping for somthing a little different for the late 09 flag ship for techinc. Although i have to say, i love cranes, so i guess i'm not to disapointed. Front Loader... Not sure how many versions of a front Loader you can have, but i'll with hhold full judgment till i see pics.

Power Miners

8707 Boulder Blaster

8708 Cave Crusher

8709 Underground Mining Station

8962 Crystal King

8963 Rock Wrecker

8964 Titanium Command Rig

The Command rig sounds promising! If i get any set in this theme, this will probbly be it!

Oooh, I don't think we have! Although I agree with you. A dynamite catapult, while dynamite [no joke intended] for sales to the 'target audience', isn't a very good idea.

Com'on now. :hmpf_bad: How is this any differnt than Flick fire missles or bombs in Starwars?

It looks like a good set but a dynamite launcher doesn't really fit in with Power Miners. But it is a good way to get the new dynamite piece.

Real miners regularly use dynamite to blast there way through tunels and mountains, so i would say this set fits in nicly with this theme.

A quick question: Does someone know or can imagine if at all and if yes, which Factory set(s) we might get in 2009?

After the S@H pol of this year's early summer l I'd say that some/one Western set/sets is/are imo very supposable - but not in 2009 since there is already the new Pirates theme. :sceptic:

What do you think?

I am suspecting whether LEGO should continue releasing Factory sets.

Nearly every Factory set will be half price sale in shop@home very soon after release, except 10190 (only because it's a modular house)

I believe I have seen that before, probably on Brickshelf.

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=3606282

I think I have those pic's in my '09 catalog, Im not sure though....But they look the same and crappy

10199 http://www.hispalug.com/foro/index.php?topic=5984.0

the question is this set of real or fake.

I think fake but who really knows the answer to that

Its fake, I think remember seeing that MOC on another LEGO Forum. :look:

I find it hard to believe. The MOC wouldn't be easy to make a set out of.

Ahhh, Sinner beat me to it.
