Loving everything so far, even if City should just drop construction it redeems itself 196858969 times by finally making a farm theme with cows :cry_happy:

Indy is brilliant, as it Star wars (I'll be getting the battlepacks), but the real clincher is Pirates, loving that line a lot.

Batbrick Away!

Whoa!!

Have a look what the pirate(the one with the shotgun) is holding!?

It's a telescope!

Greets, The-Force, sorry if posted earlyer than my post.

I know, it's an all new piece for the pirate line and even in GOLD! Can't wait to get my hands on these sets

In the pirates line is a new fire piece. Looks like a plume, but it can fit inside of a gold lightsaber hilt. See 6242.

To me, the telescope looks like one of those pieces occaisonally used for wheels on skateboards, so I don't think it's really a new piece.

A new baseplate on 6241 possibly.

Is it just me or do the alligators/crocs seem to have very short tails?

Oh, and new dynamite piece on 6242.

Anyway, I find the new pirates pretty interesting, glad to see the theme back, but to me, too colorful and <insert that tiresome argument> actually. I guess it's just me, since everyone else loves them.

The SW sets seem pretty okay, the Assassin droid Battle pack is interesting. The hyena droid looks like a blue vulture droid on steroids. With flying super powered droids guarding it. The republic shuttle looks disgusting. The Vader's tie looks great, but I think I see that old SW pic/symbol thing on the box, and there yellows figs, too. Will the D. Viddy be the new one we saw in the Death Star?

As for the Bionicles, some look freaky, and some are pretty cool.

I've noticed they have new hand pieces with fingers.

Eheh.

Yeah, I realize this by looking at another picture.

So scratch out like half of my post. :D

Wow,

So much stuff, not just pictures of early 2009 but rumors of late 2009.

Let's break this down:

Town: Mixed feelings. Tractor and combine are awesome but the rest, eh. I know I know, I'm not the target audience for these any more than I was for Jack Stone and they are quite a bit better than Jack Stone. But the big farm set itself looks like a mixed opportunity with skeletal buildings that remind me of the bad ole juniorization days. And one of our fine custom parts makers makes cows and then, boom, official cows. I like BrickForge's cow's better. They fit in with the horses. And that bulldozer is huge! Mon Dieu!

Space: What? Mid-year? No sets. Diss-

Castle: Again? Mid-year? No sets. -Appointing! (see what I did there?)

Pirates: I guess they are back. My only issue is outside of additional pirate mini-fig decorations there isn't anything new here. Again, for pirate lovers this is great. For me, I kind of feel like I do when a new Police Station is released. Thats great, but I have it already. I'll probably pick up a set or two but its not the must have that the return of space or castle were(even before the sets got better).

Star Wars: Clone battle pack what we expected. A little dissapointing that visor-dude is just normal clone with a visor and not specially decorated. I had a brief hope that they would randomly put in one of the three decorated dudes in each set with the normal clones but it was brief and kind of silly. The assassin droid pack is a 'huh?' moment especially because if they were going to do it, give them two speeder bikes from the Gendy Clone Wars (before it was cgi and sucked ;-)). Otherwise, nothing too interesting. Are we sure thats a new yoda head and not just the old one? If they put out Mace Windu as a generic smiley face I will be very happy. Oh, and Darth Vader's TIE? How many do we have of those now? Two mini-fig designs in three sets, UCS, cute-mini-fig one from Death Star, mini. Am I missing another one? At least with the x-wing its not a unique ship driven by only one person that I have 400 mini-figs of already. Rassa and Frassa

IJ- One good set, one dissapointing set.

Bionicle: A new direction, indeed. I'm torn. I'm not a fan of the new X-TEEEEME OMG BBQ! look. But I like all the old pieces in new colors. Finally no protodermus everywhere! Bold move to drop the term 'Toa'. Bold indeed.

To me those pictures look kind of prototype-ish. At least that flying wing set as that big nazi dude has bad skin. Or does he have three nipples? ;) Anyhow it's Patric's torso used on the picture.

This is my first time seeing these pics and all I can say is...[brain explodes in joy] mfffmffgurgle!

In all seriousness, wow. TLG has really listened to fans' wishes here, especially with those Pirate sets. The designers really have the look and spirit of the originals down pat (flags, cannons, hulls, etc. are all familiar). At the same time, TLG has also refined some original shortcomings, such as the Imperial figs' white torsos, and utilized new colors (such as metallic gold on a treasure chest) to keep things fresh. :cry_happy:

I'm interested in those new RC cars; more specifically those bases that the cars appear to be using. Looks like they're small enough to build (larger) minifig scale cars on top of them. I'm also kinda suprised no one's mentioned them before, there's no interest for them here?

Yes i do . I didn't have the guts to say anything though. I think they would be great for MF-tanks and other large vehicles because there much to be big for normal cars, might be able to do a bat-mobile though .

I find it a little bloated and limited in usage possabilities. I would have prefered a separate drive-engine and stearing module. And why can't that IR sensor dome-thingy be a separate piece from the actual reciever. Let it be attached by a cable much like thoose PF-lights are. That would make the IR-reciever so much more intresting than being one bloated piece as it is now.

No offense to Ferrari fans (after all, it's an awesome car brand) but TLG keep regurgitating their Ferrari ideas again, and again.

All the Ferrari cars which TLG produce are nice in themselves, but after I bought the first few, I haven't found the need for any more.

I especially hate those mini sets. What are you supposed to do with them (parts packs?).

Don't take my comment too seriously but I don't like the way TLG keep repeating their Ferrari sets.

I DID get the first few made and they were good, I still have them!
