For those of you who have been following, I've been hosting a secret competition among anonymous EB members. Here's the latest competition. The participants were asked to construct monkey traps. Which one do you like best?

What better way to catch a monkey than the classic pit trap? In this trap, the monkeys don't fall to the usual spikes, but to a fate much deadlier.

When the monkey sees the shiny, pretty gem, it'll walk right to it...but one of our members is there to drop a heavy anchor by pulling the cutlass out of the winch, ending the poor, but incredibly annoying, monkey's life!

It´s the classic "Get stuck in front of the tellie"-trap: The monkey will be waiting for The Planet Of The Apes to start while eating bananas!

When the monkey tries to grab Hinckley he gets catapulted into space!

From her safe, pun intended, perch, Inga uses bananas to lure the monkeys to this ACME inspired, crude but effective trap.

Looking for a break from Hank Hinckle-Dinckleman's constant whining, the tribe tossed him into a cage with a flamethrower and suspended it from a hilltop tree for the angry monkeys to use as a pinata while he tries to roast a few of the rebellious scoundrels, giving the tribe a much needed break from both annoyances; though no one expected a passing alligator to join in for some free bar-b-cue.

It should have been accompanied by the classic "Meeep Meeeep" sound.

I voted for #1. I like the tree, and it feels nice to see a clever trap mechanism that works with the tree.

Number 5 for me. All those reminds me of the ACME arsenal, but number five is the ultimate classic.

I voted for number 5. It is such a simple trap, but in fact the most effective and classic way of catching monkey. The rest of the entries are equally interesting. Great contest everyone!

I liked number 2 the best: getting beat to death by Hinckley with a stick? Can't beat that! All of the entries were great, though.
