July 31, 200915 yr I'd love to join the reviewers academy. I am heavy into the Star Wars set's and I'm interested in the Indie ones, but money is a factor. On the plus side, I have numerous sets complete with instructions from the late 80's and early 90's that I could build and review (shows my age). Plus I have a Nikon D40, a super fast internet connection and a flickr account.

August 12, 200915 yr I would love to join in, i find it frustrating when you want to see a review and there are none up, they are so helpfull when you want to make a purchace Edit Sets-old and new, i have around 40-50 sets put together right now but another possible 75-90 taken apart that can be reasembled with all original parts. Camera-Great quality Time-your talking to a guy who memorizes weird al songs and when not building waves at traffic in a batman costume and clone trooper helmet, so what do you think? If you are intending to join Reviewers Academy, can you please type your posts in proper capital letters at the start of the sentences and make good use of commas and full stop. In the academy, writing is equally important as taking images. I will consider your request until you are able to demostrate better command of posting well.

I will have to start checking my spelling before i submit a post, i use two different computers. On one the letter "T" only works half the time, and the other has a delayed responce on the screen. August 12, 200915 yr I'd like to contribute! Is the reviewers academy mandatory, or just incredibly handy?
August 13, 200915 yr Sorry about that. I will have to start checking my spelling before i submit a post, i use two different computers. On one the letter "T" only works half the time, and the other has a delayed responce on the screen. Making good posts is very important, and is also one of the critical factors that required good habit to maintain in both Reviewers Academy and Eurobricks. Please take note of that. On the other hand, I have given you access. Welcome to Reviewers Academy. Is the reviewers academy mandatory, or just incredibly handy? I don't quite understand your question. There are pinned topics inside the Reviewers Academy, where basic reviewing lessons are taught and to be followed. You can start submitting reviews once you have understood the lessons requirements. There is no time limit as in when you must finish the course.
August 13, 200915 yr Well, what I meant was, can any member post a review in one of the theme sections, or do they have to follow the academy first?
August 13, 200915 yr Well, what I meant was, can any member post a review in one of the theme sections, or do they have to follow the academy first? Yes, any member can still continue posting reviews in Eurobricks without going through Reviewers Academy. Signing up for Reviewers Academy, means a strong desire for one to review, share and improve on their presentation and reviewing techniques, and we will train the student in various stages from the teachers.
August 13, 200915 yr Aaaaaah. Well, I'll give it a go myself first then, since I'm not sure I will be able to keep up reviewing on a regular basis as seems to be asked.

August 13, 200915 yr I think I'm now ready to join the Academy. I would like to review some sets -mostly classic- and advices from the experts would have been most useful. Thanks in advance!
August 13, 200915 yr Author Eurobricks Emperor Is the reviewers academy mandatory, or just incredibly handy? Mandatory? No, you can also decide not to join the academy and post your reviews on Eurobricks. But once you decide to join, you're expected to follow the program as teachers will be investing their time in you.
August 13, 200915 yr Alright, before I join, I have a couple questions: First, how much time is needed for this? You say "enough time" but how much time is that? Can one join just to see what it's like, and if finds out he doesn't have enough time/doesn't want to continue, can he quit? Secondly, is this just for review sets, or review MOCs, stories, etc., as well? Reviewing is one of my favorite things [especially review stories or MOCs, which I try to do quite often on BZP], and so this sounds interesting.

Glad to know that you are ready. Access is granted. Welcome to Reviewers Academy. First, how much time is needed for this? You say "enough time" but how much time is that? Can one join just to see what it's like, and if finds out he doesn't have enough time/doesn't want to continue, can he quit? There is no time limit or time restriction imposed. Everything is done at your own estimation and controlled of time, with some reminders attached. You must first ask yourself, how much are you willing to learn and commint yourself first, to learn reviewing. That's the answer you should know. Secondly, is this just for review sets, or review MOCs, stories, etc., as well? Yes. Reviewers Academy only focus on "LEGO sets".
August 16, 200915 yr I would like to give this a shot too. I'm not so good at reviewing yet but I'll do my best.

August 17, 200915 yr I assume one can drop out at any time if needed, right? And this can be for reviewing any theme of LEGO, correct? [As in, the three sets don't have to be a certain theme] If so, then I'll join. Not sure if I can have "sufficient time" once school starts again, but I'll try.
