Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted May 25, 2009 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted May 25, 2009 I'd also like to be considered for membership, if possible.I mainly purchase (and build) Technic and Creator sets, and these would be the subjects of my reviews. I meet all the requirements, and my photography is OK, but there's certainly lots of room for improvement. Thanks. The academy has delivered some very good reviewers!I'd love to join aswell. Need help with lighting and structuring the review. I would like to join as well. The Rancor Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I have been signed up since the beginning, but haven't made any reviews yet. Once my desk is cleared (about 1-2 months) I should start my first review (Boeing 787). Just thought I'd keep you guys informed. I too am in a similar situation - as well as the fact that I haven't bought manys sets for a while becuase of Star Wars Summer 09 releases. I'll get back to reviews as soon as I am able. Quote

Erdbeereis Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 SeaKing, a long as you have a complete set you're fine. Instruction pictures are nice, but certainly not necessary. I hope to see you in the Academy soon! Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I'm gonna do my first review as soon as my Camper arrives, which should be tomorrow considering it's in a town only forty minutes away. Quote

Tom Bricks Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I have some old sets that don't have reviews that my brother in law gave me but that don't have instructions. Are pictures of the instructions needed or can I join with out them? Quote

Yes, this invitation is extended to "everybody" if you fufill the conditions at the first post. Are you still keen to sign up for this program? I have some old sets that don't have reviews that my brother in law gave me but that don't have instructions. Are pictures of the instructions needed or can I join with out them? No, instructions are not required or a must. However, the rest of the conditions still apply. If so, are you ready to explore Reviewers Academy? Quote

The Dor Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I have a quick question about one of the requirements: "You must have enough time to follow the courses and work on your own reviews." About how much time is this? Quote
Erdbeereis Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I have a quick question about one of the requirements: "You must have enough time to follow the courses and work on your own reviews." About how much time is this? It all depends on how long it takes you to take and upload pictures, write the review Etc. But it definitely is not something that will take over your life. The courses are not long. The first one for example is learning how to set up a good photo studio and how to take good clear pictures. And you can work as quickly or as slowly you like, there's no time limit at all. It really is very painless, we have only had 4 heart attacks in the Academy to this day. I hope to see you in the Academy, I'm sure you'll love it! Quote
Luke McAwesome Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 I have a quick question about one of the requirements: "You must have enough time to follow the courses and work on your own reviews." About how much time is this? Well, when I wrote my first review, it took me about five hours to build, take pics, resize, touch up the lighting, upload to brickshelf, and overall write the review itself. It was loads of fun, though. You'll love it. Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Yes, this invitation is extended to "everybody" if you fufill the conditions at the first post. Are you still keen to sign up for this program? I have a Mac, not a PC. Will this affect things? Quote
