I would like to join as well. I love writing reviews and would like to improve!

My photography skills are probably sufficient, and my camera definitely is!

Thanks for your consideration!

I'd also like to be considered for membership, if possible.

I mainly purchase (and build) Technic and Creator sets, and these would be the subjects of my reviews.

I meet all the requirements, and my photography is OK, but there's certainly lots of room for improvement.

Thanks.

The academy has delivered some very good reviewers!

I'd love to join aswell.

Need help with lighting and structuring the review.

I have been signed up since the beginning, but haven't made any reviews yet. Once my desk is cleared (about 1-2 months) I should start my first review (Boeing 787). Just thought I'd keep you guys informed.

I too am in a similar situation - as well as the fact that I haven't bought manys sets for a while becuase of Star Wars Summer 09 releases.

I'll get back to reviews as soon as I am able.

i would enjoy this course. i own over 50+ sets (about 10 with instructions). i also am good at posting images, and have much experiance doing so on brikwars. i will need help learning to review with an unbiased opinion. i would love to learn how to be a reviewer.

Sure there is a place for you. Welcome

I'll probably do a review of Vladek's Dark Fortress once I get my camera to work. :knight:

Does this mean you want to join the academy?

I have some old sets that don't have reviews that my brother in law gave me but that don't have instructions. Are pictures of the instructions needed or can I join with out them?

When you say the thread's open to everybody, do you mean EVERYBODY. 'Cause I'm only a lowly Vassal with a camera kickin' around somewhere.

Yes, this invitation is extended to "everybody" if you fufill the conditions at the first post. Are you still keen to sign up for this program?

No, instructions are not required or a must. However, the rest of the conditions still apply. If so, are you ready to explore Reviewers Academy?

I have a quick question about one of the requirements: "You must have enough time to follow the courses and work on your own reviews." About how much time is this?

It all depends on how long it takes you to take and upload pictures, write the review Etc. But it definitely is not something that will take over your life.

The courses are not long. The first one for example is learning how to set up a good photo studio and how to take good clear pictures. And you can work as quickly or as slowly you like, there's no time limit at all.

It really is very painless, we have only had 4 heart attacks in the Academy to this day.

I hope to see you in the Academy, I'm sure you'll love it!

Well, when I wrote my first review, it took me about five hours to build, take pics, resize, touch up the lighting, upload to brickshelf, and overall write the review itself.

It was loads of fun, though. You'll love it.

I have a Mac, not a PC. Will this affect things? :pir-look:
