I'm not quite sure yet if I'll sign up. Is there any way to see what goes on without actually signing up?

Not really, but I will say that participation isn't compulsory once you're in.

Would you like me to add you so you can see? You're not beholden to participate if you don't want to.

That would be great. Thanks!

I would like to join, if you're still taking people. Right now all I have is a point & shoot camera, but have been considering upgrading and would welcome advice.

We're always taking people, our doors never close. You'll find lots of advice within the Academy - welcome. :classic:

I'd like to give this a go, but I'm going to need to work on getting a space for reviewing some HF sets in my bedroom.

Does that mean you'd like me to add you?

I do have a decent camera but my computer is in the shop at the moment, but I would like to see what the academy is all about, can I join up?

Hi there! I'm a new member and would love to write some reviews, especially on some sets I've noticed don't have a review yet. Can I join please?

Is it still possible to join the Academy? ^ The last three posts have gone unanswered... I'd love to learn how to write a review and especially photograph Lego sets. I think it'd be really interesting to write them for AFOLs and also for parents looking to buy Lego for their children too. I'm keen to review all my old Town, Fabuland and Bellville sets which I think collectors might be keen on, as well as Friends (which I'm actively trying to collect all of!)

Welcome all of you to the Academy, I've added you all. If we don't answer straight away here, don't worry, we always will, it just means we've also got other stuff to deal with too. :classic:

Is it ok if I join?

If you remove the animated .gif from your signature, yes.

I have added you, but I'm serious about the .gif - check the site guidelines in my (non-animated) signature for more details.

So, i've joined the RA - and i've written and posted my first review.

I wonder if the RA is still an active component of EB? It took many days to get any C&C (or teaching), and now after my quick edits and revisions, it has now stalled about a week, along with another review that hasn't even been touched since it's first post two weeks ago. I understand people are busy, but there are quite a few teachers in RA.

I'd like to know if this normal for RA? I was looking forward to its benefits - but I was also eager to write some reviews. I have some reviews backlogged now while I wait for my very first review to be approved...

Every single teacher in the RA teaches in their own time. It is still very much an active component of EB, but activity there depends on so many factors, not simply the number of teachers. Many teachers also have other commitments around EB, and free time is, unfortunately, a finite resource. In the same way that we do not set time limits for our students, we do not expect our students to set time limits for us.

If you would like to discuss this further, I suggest you post in the topics within the RA, where you may garner the attention of more teachers. I will reiterate, though. Teaching requires goodwill and free time, so please be patient, thank you.
