darkrebellion Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 This is one of my most waited movies for 2009 . I think the first one was incredibly awesome and the special effects are just superb. This movie is going to be awesome and seems to be a lot more transformers compared to the first one (So, that actually so cool ) and with Megan Fox this is for sure a great project for 2009. Quote
Lt. Veers Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 A transformer that turns into an Ice Cream truck? Okaaaaayyyyy.... Quote
LEGOMAN132 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 A transformer that turns into an Ice Cream truck sounds cool and kind of funny. Quote
Corvus Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Come on, guys! Let's go get some ice cream! ... AUUUGGHH! I'm sure the CGI won't dissapoint, but I wasn't happy with the human side of the story last time. Not exactly good for the little kiddies who went to see it. Quote
Pencoin Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 Pretty cool, the first one was decent. Not my most wanted movie of 2009 but i'm likely to check it out. Quote
5150 Lego Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I have high hopes for this one. I really liked the first one. Good action, humorous, exellent speacaileffects, and a decent story line. Hopfully they learn from there mistakes in the first movie and give us a great squeal to follow. From what i've read on the TF2 movie blog, it looks like there's going to be alot more bot action. Thats always a plus. Ireally hope that the autobots vehicle modes change from the alt modes from the first movie to somthing at least later into the second. All the picks we've seen have been of the same vehicles in the first movie. Though this could be part of Bay'splan to through people off of the script. Quote
Brainbox Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Not to be pernickity or anything, but don't we have a Transformers thread? Of course, the Fallen may not be The Fallen, but rather Megatron and the other Decpeticos that fell at the end of the last film. Still, the inclusion of Soundwave is absolutely fantantastic. Quote

JINZONINGEN73 Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I'm not really into this sequel, as the first movie had me retching in front of my computer, but I do wonder if Hasbro's going to make the sequel toys not suck as hard. I'm there looking at a cool black and neon green jet in the toy aisles, then I look at the back of the package to see the bot it turns into... and it's a bow-legged freak that made me think back to the days of Gobots. Inexcusable design flaw. Horrific, for it being 2008. I dunno'. I'm guessing there'll be more of an effort to appease the fans that were disenfranchised the first time around... maybe the fact it's not being called "Transformers 2" means they want to get the first one out of their minds? (Still no verification of a gestalt in this, is there?) Quote
robbo Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 (edited) A transformer that turns into an Ice Cream truck? Okaaaaayyyyy.... A transformer that turns into an Ice Cream truck sounds cool and kind of funny. And can you believe that twin robots make up the Ice cream truck. Personally i can't wait until the movie comes out, i just loved the first one and it was such a improvement on the repetitive story lines of the cartoons. Believe me...i own the first 3 seasons on DVD. I cam still remember the tear rolling down my cheek watching the cartoon movie way back when..lol Edited August 28, 2008 by robbo Quote

Horrific, for it being 2008. The fact you managed to find that one on the shelf is an indication of how much it sucked. Cause all the good ones sold out really quickly Also Gobots were awesome for their size class, often having as innovative transformations as the Transformers. Now if it weren't for that whole crummy cartoon show and all... Quote
AgentRick Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 I thought that they confirmed Jetfire in the movie as a SR-71 Blackbird, or did i miss something out? also Jinzoningen, was it this figure? Because if it was, Its a really megabloks figure. Quote
The Rancor Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 (edited) I really lok forward to this film. The first one really made my 2007 Summer! ...Hope the official trailer goes up on youtube soon EDIT: I would like to see a Transformer that changes into a bike. If not, another brand new concept car! Because if it was, Its a really megabloks figure. Other than the original Autobots and Decepticons, there hasn't been any confirmations of any new characters alt modes. The only new ones i belive that have been confirmed, are Soundwave, and Arcee I really lok forward to this film. The first one really made my 2007 Summer!...Hope the official trailer goes up on youtube soon EDIT: I would like to see a Transformer that changes into a bike. If not, another brand new concept car! Word is that its supposed to be up somtime in September. I hope thats true. as for a transformer turning inot a bike, Arcee is either going to be a pink street bike, or a "T-Rex" 3 wheeler. Speaking of alt modes, sofar i'm really disapointed with most of the alt modes i've been seeing. Or should i say "possible" alt modes since nothings really been confirmed. I dunno'. I'm guessing there'll be more of an effort to appease the fans that were disenfranchised the first time around... maybe the fact it's not being called "Transformers 2" means they want to get the first one out of their minds? Well there's twiceas many bots in the new movie than the first, as well as alot more bot action promised. So this could be an inclimation that they are trying to better please the fans. The first movie i thought was great, but you can always improve. I think both Bay, and the producers/script writers learned alot from the first movie. Hopfully a happy meduim is found tp please both the hard core fans and the general public. Edited August 29, 2008 by 5150 Lego Quote
AgentRick Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 In breaking news, Apparently the Chevy Volt concept car has made its way onto the set, along with a slew of Movie autobots. Whether this is an autobot or decepticon is unknown, but here's a video. Theres footage of the Chevy Trax, Beat, and a shiny Concept corvette in there too. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers...ers-2-pics.html Quote
Brainbox Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 1) I belive the other transformers thread is for the toys. No, it's just generally for all things TF. Trust me, I started it. 2) The fallen was in the character list. Ah, but, it's been said several times that there are fake facts and such out there as well, to confuse everyone. Just becase he's on the list, doesn't mean he's in the film. But it would be nice. Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted August 30, 2008 Posted August 30, 2008 also Jinzoningen, was it this figure? Because if it was, Its a really megabloks figure. OOF. Yeah, that's him. Look at that cool jet mode. Just look at it. And the color scheme... cool. But that bot mode, wtf? How can stuff like this happen these days? And I thought Titanium Soundwave's pelvis situation was evil. This trumps it completely. On a side note, Jazz, Snarl and the evil cycle animated figure has shown up here finally. Quote

Yeah Surprisingly, as customisers have found out, his legs make awesome arms apparently He's not the worst of the movie line by far though. That belongs to Payload Quote

That belongs to Payload I like Payload, but it definitely could have been far, far better without the gimmick impaling the figure and sticking way out of his back. Can't believe the design team lets ideas like this pass, but I suppose kids must dig it. As for the jet fig, he still suffers from massive undercarriage syndrome, although, much like the F-22, he looks nice from above and only from above (sorry, I think the Raptor's a bit fugly from every angle but above... F-23 FTW, but I digress). His arms with no hands kill the fig for me. I hate figs without hands. I was pretty disappointed that Alt. Rumble didn't have proper arms and hands that fold out, too. Personally, i dislike the Movie Megatron design, and so, too, the toys. It may be great toy, but I still see nothing about that design that even remotely says "Transformer" to me, and the toy looks like a jumbled mess to me. Payload at least has a decent alt mode. I dunno, didn't feel up to scratch Compare him to Stockade, Landmine or Bumblebee, some of the standouts of the Deluxe class, to see what I mean The Undercarriage thing was a big problem this year, I think the only one who really avoided it was Incinerator, and... Well, he's an Osprey, not a plane. Of course, neither of them are as bad as Universe Silverbolt... Oh, and Megatron is... Yeah. His design was not made to transform in the movie, so I commend Hasbro on trying to get a workable toy out of it Quote
Adam Posted September 5, 2008 Posted September 5, 2008 ANOTHER one? This first one was bad enough... Quote
Piranha Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 (edited) It took me awhile to find this topic Anywho, only 9 more days until it comes out in the US, I know it came out in Japan already ANOTHER one? This first one was bad enough... I respectfully disagree, I will say the parts I didn't like however The plot is about a cube, ok The parents of Sam and their crappy dialog Really annoying and pointless most of the time, you think the script writer could have put some thing better in ? Inconsistency in Decepticon strength, in the beginning, Blackout is almost impossible to kill, and then at the end 3-4 get killed real easily Not so annoying but just a detail I really enjoyed the transforming parts, the makers of the movie worked really hard to make it as realistic as possible Finally before I saw the movie, I didn't like them and after I saw it, I loved them On the note of Revenge of the Fallen Once again the plot is kinda iffy just as the first one Loads of more transformers, I hope that isn't just so they can be killed off in the film Waste of characters IMO I really enjoyed the Super Bowl trailer and was nice surprise The game for the movie, I hope will be better than the original Edited June 16, 2009 by Piranha Quote
5150 Lego Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Really looking forward to this movie! So far nearly all the reviews have been really good. There were a few things i am disapointed in though. From what i've heard, Soundwave is in the movie, but he doesn't come down from satalite mode. If this is true, what a complete waste. Either way, i'm going in with an open mind. Quote
