August 27, 200816 yr He'd make a great villain and he would fit perfectly into the Nolan universe. Nolan! Listen to these words!!!!! I would like the Penguin to be the gentlemen of crime. A quite normal, if somewhat loathsome and brutal mobster pulling political strings and futhering the manhunt for Batman. YES! ) A normal person, gathering crime world to takeover Gotham and rid it of outlawed Batman! ) Or at least give him some time in the film! Good day, gentlemen! )
August 27, 200816 yr Or at least give him some time in the film! If I had my way I'd take my cue from Mystery of the Batwoman, and have Penguin as the secondary villain who classes himself as high elite of society, but really be amassing the mobs and fighting off the "freaks". He hires Bane to kill Batman, but does not realise that once Bane "breaks" Batman, he will usurp and takeover Penguin's criminal empire to rule Gotham. This would also tie in to the fact that Gotham simply can't escape the freaks. This is all depending of course, if Two-Face is alive or not. Batbrick Away!
August 27, 200816 yr If you listen to all the interview and stuff on the net, you know whats going on. WB has offered Nolan a third movie, but he is still on holiday. Nolan himself has said, that he didn't think about a third movie, because TDK was such hard work and he put everything into it. It is only said, that Jonathan Nolan has an idea about the possible story, but thats all for now. I just found an article on SuperHeroHype: Source Also if you want the best news for the next Batman film, visit Batman on Film he has some real insider sources and has a good feeling about rumors and that stuff! Great site for anybody who is interested in Batman 3 For example, he didn't even post the Cher news and now, he said this: Source Fair enough. But that quote you posted didn't come from Nolan himself. Just the dude that runs the site. I'm not saying, (nor did i ever) say that any of it was true, just that if there's that much hype surounding it, and more than one source has info on it, then there's a possibility that there could be some truth behind it. Thats all. Because of official reports of Nolan being on holiday! Gosh! I don't want to be rude, but I feel like I'm typing to a brick wall, see above posted article about Nolan's holiday, not ot mention information that his next project planned years ago is most likely an adaptation of "The Prisoner" tv show. Not to mention only half a dozen interviews with producers and WB honchos stating that it is up to Nolan and nothing is set in stone, and that Nolan is as previously mentioned on holiday. Not ot mention again that Nolan himself has stated he takes things one film at a time and has no plans as of now. Being on vacation, err,.. "Holiday" has nothing to do with it. Things can still get put in motion by others envolved. While the director might have the final say if in fact he will be doing a new movie, as well as others involved, it is the jobs of others to find ways to "modivate" him (Nolan) into making another film. Finding potential actors to play upcoming roles in one of those many things that might help producers and the director have a want to make another movie, and you don't nessasarly need a script to do that either. Somtimes the director already knows who he wants to play certain roles, and times there's auditions. (thats how Megan Fox landed her role in Transformers). Look,i'm not saying that Cherr, or Jonny depp will in fact be in the next film. Your right that its just sepeculation at this point. But there's obviously talk about it, as well as a 3rd movie. As far as Cherr being Catwoman, i'll agree that she probbly is an unlikely canadate, but not cause of her age. For one, she doesn't look 62 ( plastic surgery can do wonders for SOME people), and second, she is in very good health last i heard. She exersises regularly, and even does tybo classes. Its just that she really hasn't done anything film wise for years. As for Nolan only taking things "one step at a time", your right. Its not like were talking about this 2 months before the movie TDK. Hes had time to think about weather or not he's going to do another. He's seen the sucsess of both BB's,and TDK, he knows thathe has WB behind him. He knew a long time ago weather or not he'll be doing another. I'm not saying he will be back for sure, but odds are that he will. All i'm saying is take what you hear on the internet with a grain of salt on both sides. Not everything you here on both sides is going to be facts, and anyways, those "facts" could be changed at any time depending on Nolans mood! Edited August 27, 200816 yr by 5150 Lego
August 28, 200816 yr Please no. Catwoman was in my opinion the worst super-hero movie I have seen, and I don't need to see another. I think The Riddler would be much better for the next Bat movie. ~Peace

Great idea, friend! ) But, perhaps, instead of Bane we can have Riddler. ) And then everyhing goes according to you scenario! ) I hope nolan reads this forum! ) And the idea of Penguin vs Two-Face fight is simply thrilling. (The Penguin trying to poke Harvey with his umbrella! ) Good day, gentlemen! )
August 28, 200816 yr Okay, I hope this will not be true, but I'm hoping for David Tennant for the Riddler in the next film.
August 28, 200816 yr David Tennant for Riddler! "Riddle me this, Batman! What goes wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey and wears 'brainy specs'?" "That's right, one of my other roles! I'll let myself be arrested now." And Kristen Bell for Harley Quinn!
August 29, 200816 yr Wait, which BB? Me or you? Batman Begins. As if either of us would have talked to Nolan... Please no. Catwoman was in my opinion the worst super-hero movie I have seen, and I don't need to see another. I think The Riddler would be much better for the next Bat movie. If Catwoman is done right (if), like in either the comics or the 60s series, then she's a great character. If not, well, we all know what happened then.
August 29, 200816 yr Batman Begins. As if either of us would have talked to Nolan... I was joking! If Catwoman is done right (if), like in either the comics or the 60s series, then she's a great character. If not, well, we all know what happened then. I agree definitely, she is one of Batman's most interesting characters, a foe and a love interest. Like Jeph Loeb says, he goes all stiff around her like she's something different. And no, not that kind of stiff! Batbrick Away!
August 29, 200816 yr I was joking! Yeah. I know. I agree definitely, she is one of Batman's most interesting characters, a foe and a love interest. Like Jeph Loeb says, he goes all stiff around her like she's something different. And no, not that kind of stiff! How could he not know what he was saying?! She's got to be the most enduring of the Bat-girlfriends. Most of them are forgotten or killed, but not Catwoman. All of the Batman media have picked up on it in some way or another. But because she operates on both sides of the law, Batman's never entirely comfortable with the relationship.
August 29, 200816 yr How could he not know what he was saying?! Exactly! She's got to be the most enduring of the Bat-girlfriends. Most of them are forgotten or killed, but not Catwoman. All of the Batman media have picked up on it in some way or another. But because she operates on both sides of the law, Batman's never entirely comfortable with the relationship. Definitely, like the quote in a lot of anything she appears in, there's something between them, and unfortunately it's the law. Batbrick Away!
August 30, 200816 yr Batman Begins. As if either of us would have talked to Nolan... And why aren't you guys talking to Nolan? If the internet is any indication, everybody else is. Nolan personally told me that the next movie would feature Bat-mite and Baby Doll!
August 30, 200816 yr Speaking of future villains: http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=ubmSdHoqoag Awesome video here.... )
September 6, 200816 yr Sorry for double post, gentlemen, but it needs to be done. ) Here's a spoiler about the third film, concerning two very interesting questions: about Harvey and Catwoman. It hasn't been posted before, has it? ) http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=48470
September 6, 200816 yr Heh, I've known about Harvey's death for weeks. Ign.com had an article about this a while ago, where they showed that the novelization of The Dark Knight had a detailed description of a dead Two Face. Still, it's very dissapointing. I wish they had just killed off the Joker and brought back Two Face in the third movie - but I guess Heath Ledger's death was such a suprise that they didn't have any time or means to do that.
September 6, 200816 yr Please no. Catwoman was in my opinion the worst super-hero movie I have seen, and I don't need to see another. I think The Riddler would be much better for the next Bat movie.~Peace Sure, Catwoman the movie was horrible, but if she was in a Bat movie, it would be alright, especially if Nolan directed it. I think Cher would be good for Catwoman if she was a little younger. Off topic, when I was watching TDK, I thought that Rachel Dawes was going to become Harley Quinn. I highly doubt that will be possible in a sequel, since she's most likely dead, and Joker is in jail or something. In a sequel, it would be really lame to bring them both back.
September 7, 200816 yr Definitely, like the quote in a lot of anything she appears in, there's something between them, and unfortunately it's the law. Exactly. Although at the moment, it's more Bruce's fiance being between them. Nolan personally told me that the next movie would feature Bat-mite and Baby Doll! Oh, wouldn't it be good if that was true... Still, it's very dissapointing. I wish they had just killed off the Joker and brought back Two Face in the third movie - but I guess Heath Ledger's death was such a suprise that they didn't have any time or means to do that. No, what they should have done is killed neither of them. The Bat-villains don't die! Regardless of the media, they just don't. It shouldn't happen. Plus not killing the Joker allowed that quote about them "going on like this forever".
September 8, 200816 yr Exactly. Although at the moment, it's more Bruce's fiance being between them. Yeah, is that in RIP? Jezebel Jet or something? Oh, wouldn't it be good if that was true... You haven't seen Baby Doll yet, she's in Season 3. No, what they should have done is killed neither of them. The Bat-villains don't die! Regardless of the media, they just don't. It shouldn't happen. Plus not killing the Joker allowed that quote about them "going on like this forever". Total and utter agreement here, they just don't. No. Not ever. Not in a million years. No. Just no. They shouldn't die, especially not the biggies like Two-Face. That said, I really hope Nolan does choose Catwoman for the third film, as long as she doesn't wear an armoured suit like Batsy. Can you imagine that? No, definitely something a little more, heh, shapely. I'm not sure if he could direct her though, Nolan isn't exactly the master of femme fatales, Rachel was an admittingly one not character, however spiced up Maggie made her. Batbrick Away!
September 29, 200816 yr I hope that Catwoman is not chosen as a villain for Batman 3. I'd personally like to see the appearance of Talia al' Ghul, and then maybe Damien Wayne (they could do an amazing movie of the Batman and Son comic arc; mind you, hey would have to wait a while for Barbra Gordon to show up.....)
September 30, 200816 yr Considering Hoffman denied the rumors of him playing the Penguin, I am thinking not. Considering Nolan is going to realistic, a 62 year old Catwoman would not be realistic.
