jonfett Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 I don't know if people have already got theirs yet but I got my s@h magazine (not the smaller catalouge) today. There are the new Designer, KK, HP and alpha teams sets. I guess these aren't all new but they are new in the magazine. I might get some of the alpha team and designer, they look good. I think you can view this on the Lego website but I have not checked if it is on it yet. Jon. Quote
sam89 Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Yeah I got mine yesterday! Very nice stuff in it! :D Quote
jonfett Posted July 7, 2004 Author Posted July 7, 2004 Forgot to mention.. There is a nice new yellow lego truck which would look great in a town scene. I will try find a link to it on the website. There is also the new legend, which is the hot rod car. I am sure we all saw pics of that when it was announced but for those who did not, here you go - http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=10151 Jon. sam89 Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Yeah, the yellow truck is quite nice. It's not on the website I don't think, although there are direct links to the pictures that I found on Lego's website : Quote
jonfett Posted July 7, 2004 Author Posted July 7, 2004 Yeah thats it. I want one!! Chrome elements as well! Do you think the pieces with Lego on are printedor a stiker, a printed piece like that would be nice to have. Jon. Quote
sam89 Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 It looks like a sticker to me. It seems slightly raised from the rest. Quote
David85 Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 I hope the truck is $9.99, last time it was $14, but thats when shipping was included. Quote
jonfett Posted July 7, 2004 Author Posted July 7, 2004 Hmm.. yeah, ah well. I would love to get one of those printed duplo bricks. It would be the centre of my collection!! Jon. Quote
sam89 Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 I hope the truck is $9.99, last time it was $14, but thats when shipping was included. Well it costs Quote
jonfett Posted July 7, 2004 Author Posted July 7, 2004 last time it was $14 Last time.. huh, has it been released before?? Jon. Quote
sam89 Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Yes, as set 2184, in 1997: http://www.brickset.com/search.aspx?Set=2148-1 Quote
sam89 Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 Kind of, but for some reason it's not classed as a Legend . . . Quote
ApophisV Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 maybe only a rerelease... remember, its only seven years old... -_- Quote
jonfett Posted July 7, 2004 Author Posted July 7, 2004 But the hot rod (new legend) is only 9 years old as it came out in 1995. I thought legends were 10 years+?? Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 sometimes i think they do what they want only to make profit... they release sets that were successful again to get more money.... Quote
jonfett Posted July 7, 2004 Author Posted July 7, 2004 *cough* 7152 - Vadars tie and y-wing... 7142- x-wing Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 exactly the point... ;) though i would be really happy if they would release again the b-wing or mos espa pod race... Quote
Jipay Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 sometimes i think they do what they want only to make profit... they release sets that were successful again to get more money.... ell this is exactly what they're doing. TLC is hold by a bunch of marketers. the "we care about childs" is just a marketing stuff, as the legends. Legends are made to re-release sets that will for 100% sure be sold. People who are thinking they do this for AFOLs are naive  Quote
DoubleT Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 sometimes i think they do what they want only to make profit... they release sets that were successful again to get more money.... Well making money is the point of privat company's. Or els they cant survive. Quote
jonfett Posted July 9, 2004 Author Posted July 9, 2004 But I think his point is, they will do absolutely anything to make a profit, even if it means releasing a set again. Jon. Quote

The AFOL, because if kids loved them then Lego would release some non-junor sets for a change. Quote
sam89 Posted July 10, 2004 Posted July 10, 2004 The new 10156 Truck is now on S@H: http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=10156 And this confirms that the Lego logos are stickers and not printed: "Complete with driver, shiny chrome exhaust pipes and LEGO logo and license plate stickers" Quote
