Shoc Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I think this guy needs to be sacked, i really see no difference in colour compareing my purple bricks except for really minor things that you get in other colours. Well, there is the fact, which I noticed this morning, that there are three purple shades of ABS Lego pieces. One is the original purple colour, more reddy purple, the next is the bluer purple used in the Basketball sets, and the other is the darker purple used in the Knight Bus, and still around now. It seems that TLC fixed the varying colours years ago, now there is only one kind of purple... I don't know if this guy should be sacked, but I think he should reconsider... :skull: Quote

I like this color even if I just own a couple of pieces (I think) and that is discountinued is really a shame because some sets of this color will never be released (And I hope for a Gasgano podrace re-release ) another set that will never be released without this color is the Mace Windu jedi starfighter . It's not gone, silly! You can still get that color from old sets. Purple is a nice color, though. I have the Knight Bus, so I have quite enough dark purple pieces to keep me satisfied. Quote

It seems that puurple has become a low profile color, having been used in Lego Batman on the Joker and Penguin, as well as in the Lego SpongeBob SquarePants set 3832: The Emergency Room for the head of the doctor fish. I hope to goodness that someday, they'll improve the next batch of purple, so it doesn't remain a memory. Righ now, Lego is using purple as an accent color. Quote
