Posted September 3, 200816 yr Okay, let's get the discussion going here: A new feature for the Racers line-up are unfolding racetracks which are built into the packaging. There are four major themes in the Tiny Turbos line – Formula 1, Stock Car, Rally and Desert racing. New pull-back Power Racers include Ferrari Victory, Monster Jumper, Extreme Wheelie, Blue Sprinter and Race Rig. Sounds good.....now, on with the pictures: Rally Sprinter, Thunder Racer, Track Marshall and Desert Viper! Lovin' them so far. Rally sprinter looks good, as does thunder racer. A saftey car type vechicle in track marshall looks cool as does desert viper! F1, Rally and Desert Racers There we can see the F1, Rally and Desert racing tiny turbos Thunder Raceway Now, i'm loving this, as i could modify those 2 cars into by 2 favourite BTCC cars of 08: Mat Jackson's 2008 BTCC car Colin Turkington's 2008 BTCC car Thankyou Lego! Onto the bigger sets now: Race Rig, Blue Sprinter and Extreme Wheelie Monster Jumper and Wing Jumper Jump Riders New RC- Track Turbo All in all, a good year for Racers! September 5, 200816 yr The TT two packs look really good. Hopefully they're reasonably priced? 10$USD? not 15$? It's great that they come in mini themes, means I'll not have to worry about getting stuck with more of those 'hotwheels' type street wheels they have so many of lately; I can just stick to the offroad or ferrari pack...
October 17, 200816 yr The new sets from racers and technic from legoworld 2008 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=346297 Edited October 17, 200816 yr by legomilk
October 17, 200816 yr I like the idea of track-in-a-pack, while the designs of the pocket racers seem recycled. Most interesting will be the new RC-cars, especially regarding their speed and how much load their bases can carry around. The seem quite sparse with only a few bricks on top, which could indicate high speed. You could also merge a racer with one of the mini-dozers (Town and Technic) :skull:
October 18, 200816 yr Neat little racers. Definetly looks like a recycle of old designs though. I made a 8122 Desert Viper early: FactoryLink Edited October 18, 200816 yr by xenologer
October 19, 200816 yr Although I'm not a big Racer fan, I must say these look pretty impressive. I agree I might get one or two of the cheap ones
October 27, 200816 yr New pics I believe! The box seems to be the fold out track. Edited October 27, 200816 yr by Skipper 24
October 28, 200816 yr New pics I believe! Oh gee I will have to get all of those ^ Sets! Theyre my favourite ones out of them all. I will get one or 2 trach marshall sets for the trans-orange tiles Hmm Tiny Turbos definatly look better in '09 IMO
November 6, 200816 yr I have to say, i was a diehard Racers fan until they started making the ferrari sets over... and over... and over again. These look great though, yet somehow i'm not too happy with the track in a box idea. Seems like it takes some of the ability to make your own sets away. Otherwise great, i might have to get a few of the RC cars and certainly the Jump Riders, those look awesome. Lego is looking good for 09.
November 6, 200816 yr I rather like the fold-out track sets, especially the Ferrari one. Not too sure how I feel on them being the set box. Then again, if they stand up well in the shops, then they're going to serve well as travel sets. The rest of the sets aren't really anything that special as far as I'm concerned, although I don't mind the track marshal car.
