What? No new UK or European stores?

Well at least I know there's more places to get Lego when I go to the USA on holiday

I'm ecstatic! There's finally a LEGO store that isn't an hour and a half away from me. Now it's only a 45 minute drive to the King of Prussia to get me beloved LEGO! I think that the King of Prussia mall is a perfect place for a LEGO store, if there was to be one in east PA. Thanks a lot for the information Hinckley/CopMike, this certainly made my day! I should go there on the Grand Opening Celebration.

Many stores are downsizing or closing down completely these days in the United States due to the economic slowdown while LEGO is expanding! Things must really be going well for them, even in these hard economic times.

I love King Of Prussia! I've been there once, and it's a cool city! But, unforunately, I don't live there! At least I can go to the Potomac Mills store.

I just don't get it - TLC's base of opperations in America is Enfield Connecticut, and yet they still haven't opened a SINGLE lego store in CT, which is also my home state! This is really annoying - I want to get more pick a brick cups and hard to find sets in the future like everyone else. :hmpf_bad:

Sacramento!! Sweet! One question.. It meantions that vollenteers are needed to help build the models. How does one become a vollenteer???? Is there an email address i need, or a phone number??

This isn't fair, Texas has only one store, California and Massachusetts have more than one already.

We need more stores in Texas!

Yes, yes yes! :cry_happy: Saramento is only 20 miles from where I live!

I'm so happy! Ecstatic is the word. Anyway, it says AFOL volunteers are needed, I'm a TFOL... is there any way I could help out? I'm skilled with LEGO... everything just about, and mentally mature, so I wouln't be a problem. I'm also good with kids in TLG's target group. Please post a email address or some form of contact, I'd love to help!

I thought I was the only EB member around Sacramento, so it's nice to see some other folks here. I've known about this for about 3 weeks - saw the bright yellow partition in front of the store with "Coming Soon" etc. on it. My wife had to calm me down. I am sure that I will go once prior to the grand opening and then again at the grand opening. I'd be interested in volunteering as well.

Still no stores within 6 hours. :cry_sad: You'd think Lego would be dying to put one in NC considering how far the nearest stores are. There are 2 an hour from each other in Virginia and none in NC.

D'oh! They should've put one in Leicester's new Highcross Shopping Centre! :pir-sad:

It would definitely save me the trip to Birmingham, which I don't even go to that often anyway...

Bluebeard, out-

Ah, one just 45 minutes away, at Arden Fair! YAY! Neever been to a Lego store, well, ever, so looking forward to it. Does anyone know how big the make and take set is? And what exactly does make and take mean? You have to build it in store or something? I can't go on the day they are giving the set away(Marching Band Competition, we leave at 4:30 AM) so i'm going to see if one of my parents or my friend will go for me.

There are no LEGO Stores in Venice to my knowledge- do you disregard the gondolas? :pir_bawling:

Anyway, congratz to- what was it? Massachusetts? And Californa, I've heard about that one. But how about some stores in Venice and surronding city-states?

To volunteer just show up before the stores open and look up the person in charge or Pm me with your Name & phonenumber,

and I´ll give it to Steve Witt from TLC who is The Man to run this !

CopMike

Aren´t we ever going to get a store in Sweden? :hmpf_bad:

Well, I guess TLC doesn´t think LEGO is selling well enough in Sweden... :cry_sad:

Is that old gray on the top of the bell?? :oh:

I saw that too...seemed odd.

I used to live near-enough to know that the King of Prussia store should do well. Close proximity to Philly and a major shopping area.

Yes, very much so. Why isn't there a store in the DFW area? That's a bigger market than Houston, I would think.

Or Maybe they could compromise and put one in Waco, exactly halfway between Dallas and Austin? Hey, I can dream, right?

I'm all for having a store out here in Dallas, especially since this town has been booming over the last couple of years. I'm actually surprised that Lego hasn't (yet) opened a store out here. I think it'll happen sooner or later, as long as they don't over saturate the market. (Think Disney Store and its demise.)

Part of the original magic of Disney was that there were only 2 places to go to get the stuff - Cal or Fla. Disney was (and still is) a fairly expensive store, IMO, and unfortunately, some parents look at a box of Lego and think it's too expensive.

The Cap'n is right - they need to watch themselves and not grow too much where the market can't or won't handle it.
