Algernon Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 I hope this isn't going to be this year's sci-fi theme... I was really excited about Space Police. Quote
Pencoin Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 I hope this isn't going to be this year's sci-fi theme... I was really excited about Space Police. It isn't this is the Aquaraiders of the next year, Galatic Patrol is still coming. Quote
Shoc Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 haha so am I on it Nobody is on the imaginary list anymore. Hmm to me it looks redish, I hope it is I did like orange as colour of Lego, and it looks OK by itself, but with another colour it can look sort of boring like in Mars Mission. So if the other Power Miners colour turns out to be red I will be OK, but I think it looks orange. :skull: Quote
Batbrick Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 What's everyone's beef with Aquaraiders? I understand if you hate these, but why compare them to AR? Those sets while they got boring after a while, were really well built, especially the big sub and base, they were magnificent sets. Batbrick Away! Quote
The Rancor Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 The best time to look for these sets before Christmas is probably after 15th December (as mentioned in the article)! I think I might manage to get mine as free 'Christmas Presents' Quote
hollisbrick Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Nobody is on the imaginary list anymore. Fine, ill make my own list I did like orange as colour of Lego, and it looks OK by itself, but with another colour it can look sort of boring like in Mars Mission. So if the other Power Miners colour turns out to be red I will be OK, but I think it looks orange. :skull: True...I see what your saying, ill guess we'll have to wait and see... What's everyone's beef with Aquaraiders? I understand if you hate these, but why compare them to AR? Those sets while they got boring after a while, were really well built, especially the big sub and base, they were magnificent sets.Batbrick Away! I know ay. I really liked that theme! I was quite dissapointed that they didnt continue it Quote
Algernon Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I didn't mind aquaraiders, but I think it would have worked so much better if they had modeled it after AquaZONE instead of a creator set. Quote
King Kahuka Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Aquaraiders was OK, but Aquazone really owned. I have tons of those old sets. Quote
Draykov Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 It isn't this is the Aquaraiders of the next year, Galatic Patrol is still coming. I've heard the same from a reliable source. Not sure if it'll actually be called Galactic Patrol, but my understanding is that it is some sort of extension of Space Police. Quote
Brainbox Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Nobody is on the imaginary list anymore. In fact... what list? What's everyone's beef with Aquaraiders? I understand if you hate these, but why compare them to AR? Those sets while they got boring after a while, were really well built, especially the big sub and base, they were magnificent sets. I agree. They were nice sets, well built and lots of yellow. I believe yo forgot to talk about the new pictures though... Looking again at the pictures: The little bike set looks really weird. I think it might be that the front wheel appears to be on fire. I think it's a cutting tool... at least, I hope it's a cutting tool. Also, in the background of the biggest set... is that a rock catapult? As in, a catapult built from rocks? I'll be honest, I've never seen that before. And you know what? I think it is orange. Quote
Legoking Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 It looks sick! LegoKing More pics pics from www.brickshop.nl Nice Pictures!! LegoKing Quote
Wilhelm screamer Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 I do love that they brought the classic rock raiders helmet. That drill from the larger set could be useful in Mars mission mocs. Quote
---Vertea--- Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 The drill base parts and the drill would both be great for Bionicle MOCs Quote
Algernon Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Did they use a MARS MISSION torso for one of the minifigs? Quote
maiq the liar Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Heh, just noticed the rock NOM-sters. Quote

I'll be honest, I've never seen that before. Yeah, I was hoping for a thing better than that frankly, though if the piece is new it might be cool. The rock catapult looks really bad in my opinion, it is just to launch the rock monsters And you know what? I think it is orange. Damn, that totally stops me from buying more of these sets. Heh, just noticed the rock NOM-sters. Cookie monster! Batbrick Away! Quote
zero1312 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Awesome new line!!!!! I can't believe I missed that. Quote
Brainbox Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Did they use a MARS MISSION torso for one of the minifigs? That could be just a result of these still being somewhat preliminary. However, if it's not, I don't really see why it's such a big problem. It's not a bad torso, why is everyone so bothered about it? Yeah, I was hoping for a thing better than that frankly, though if the piece is new it might be cool. The rock catapult looks really bad in my opinion, it is just to launch the rock monsters Or, on the other hand, they could both be going straight in the parts bins. Damn, that totally stops me from buying more of these sets. They may still surprise us, but a lot of the pieces definitely look suspiciously like orange, which likely means they all are. Sadly. Quote
Batbrick Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 That could be just a result of these still being somewhat preliminary. However, if it's not, I don't really see why it's such a big problem. It's not a bad torso, why is everyone so bothered about it? I'll be bothered about it but I practically know it'll be replaced for a different one. When has TLC ever just thrown in an old torso like a cheap suit for a new adventure theme? They may be stingy, but they aren't the enemies of fun. The little pieces that come with each new theme is always the reason why I atleast get one set from the theme. Or, on the other hand, they could both be going straight in the parts bins. Which is not necessarily bad, as I do love my parts bins, especially since lime green could be useful for Jungle, space or Poison Ivy mocs. I hope the theme is redeemed by a few exclusive parts that are really useful. They may still surprise us, but a lot of the pieces definitely look suspiciously like orange, which likely means they all are. Sadly. I'm crying as I write this.......Okay, not really, but it is upsetting that my beautiful Robin Red bike is destroyed Well, the drill piece could be useful, and I just remembered what the cool drill set reminds me of: Thunderbirds! I loved that vehicle in that show! Batbrick Away! Quote
Ulrich Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I see Orange Mahritoran Blades and some System Chains. I am getting these. Quote
Siegfried Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 According to BrickJournal power miners are due to be launched in January.... Quote
JimBee Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Thanks for the news, Sinner! While I'm still not too excited for this line, I'll check them out and perhaps get a small set. Quote
Dadster Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Thanks for the heads-up. I'm liking those rock monsters more and more. The dwarves will have a fight on their hands when they dig too deep in the mountains! Quote
slimninj4 Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 I am excited about these little rock dudes. I think I will pick up a small impluse set if they come with one, and a mid size kit. I am not to happy by the look of some of the special parts but these little creatures can sway me. Quote
strider406 Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 I don't Know if these have been seen yet but I was cruising brickshelf when I came across these pictures. Enjoy! Here's a link to the brickshelf gallery, enjoy! Brickshelf Power miners Quote
