Pencoin Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Meh, dunno why people got there hopes up, I knew what was going to happen... Quote
MoWo Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 What a Crap! Why they don't produce REAL things...? But nothing to change... Undersigned MoWo Quote
Manta Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 It looks like what happens when I'm sick and I regergitate my food. Seriously, why not just do these in the style of the old McDonald's promos, with actual lego pieces? For those who don't know, the old promos were vehicles with printed pieces of the old McDonald's people. The printed pieces are amazing, I have a few myself. I might try to rebuild one of them because of the coolness of them combared to this. Quote

The Rancor Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 To be fair, I think there must be quite a lot of people who don't play with Lego but like the video games. (Some of my friends used to ) Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 ... It's... It's not Lego... It's... Not. Not Lego... Those are... legos. Quote
Dadster Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 My mother always tried to teach me not to say anything if I couldn't say something nice... Hmmm...that Joker is huge! Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 All aboard the fail boat, setting sail for fail island! Just like the crappy 2006 promos: ugly, blocky, shooty, BAD. What a shame. Quote
strider406 Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Joker really is a freak! by the way could you please post pics of freeze and robin but you don't have too. Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 My mother always tried to teach me not to say anything if I couldn't say something nice...Hmmm...that Joker is huge! Ahh, me too, but surely this is no person! Or at least it doesen't deserve to be called one... Wow, I didn't think they were that huge. Quote
Patriot720 Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Honestly... It first sight, they don't even look like lego. What the crap kind of cheap, stupid, knock off toy is this? I am deeply appauled. They should go back to the old promos. I have 2 promos that I obtained with the food, and I recently found 3 or 4 of them in a lot at a yard sale Quote
Seth Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 What is even the point of looking at them there hideous! One thing I want to know is why you brought them? Quote
Manta Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Please do and post it here for comparison! Good thing the food is crap too, now i don't have to get some. Here you go. Quote
Athos Posted September 9, 2008 Author Posted September 9, 2008 One thing I want to know is why you brought them? Ah, because I have connections and was able to get them early, so I could show them to you. Steve Quote
Eilif Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 (edited) Crappy, but not unexpected. Considering what they cost to produce, we will never see real minifigs in McD's sets, but it would be neat to see Batman themed sets similar to the McD's themed LEGO sets we've seen in years past. I was looking through my instruction collection, and I found two instructions from the really old ( late 80's or early 90's) sets. Those were even better than the more recent ones. I've been trying to not eat fast-food, so I guess it's good that I have no desire to acquire any of these. Edited September 9, 2008 by Eilif Quote
Siegfried Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Oh my. I expected bad, but.... It's quite clear that it's just game promotion. TLG probably had very little to do with these. Quote

You are wrong there I think, last year we got craptastic Bionicle figures (no game to promote there), it is Bionicle but still. Quote

I didn't say that all Lego related Happy Meal toys were not done by TLG, just these. I have some Happy Meal Bionicle parts myself and they are OK... these are not. Quote

Siegfried Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 You mean this guy from '01? Yes. I didn't know there were new ones. But before you forget what caused this side point, I repeat that I didn't say that all Lego related Happy Meal toys were not done by TLG, just these ones. Thus I am not proven wrong.... yet. Quote
samthelegoman1 Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Here you go. I have that, too! I remember when McDonald's had good food, good service, and good toys. good times... Quote
Derek Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Uh yeah its been the same food for a while now. And they have pretty good service. But that Joker is a piece of crap. A very odd pose he is in and it almost makes him look feminine... Quote

A very odd pose he is in and it almost makes him look feminine... I second that. You guys are acting like McDonalds is the end of the world or something. Yeah, :hmpf_bad:these are crap, but I guess I didn't really expect Lego. Quote
snake1992 Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Not mean to sound nasty or evil or anything but come on guys we knew for a while that they were based on Lego Batman: The video game not Lego Batman the lego line so I don't kow why you were expecting real Lego. And as someone above said TLG probably had very little to do with this and Travellers Tales (The guy's who make the games) had more imput being as this line of happy meal toys is based on their work not TLG. Anyway sory if I came off as a heretic or some evil satan-like figure. Quote
