Stefan Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Hello! My newest MOC, a spacefighter called XR-21: Flickr | Brickshelf After building a rough "draft" of the cockpit and the engines, I finally found some time to build the mandibles and finish the whole thing. In case you are wondering, XR-21 is just a random combination of words and numers. Inventing names is the hardest part of MOCing for me C&CC welcome! Regards, Stefan Quote
Holodoc Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Very well done, Stefan! This is SNOT at it´s best. I like the color choice: medium blue and dark bley works very well together. Thanks for sharing. Quote
Wilhelm screamer Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Once more, human adjectives fail me. Inventing names is the hardest part of MOCing for me Likewise. Quote
Zepher Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Great work! The Moc is very sleek, and the colors are great! I also like the windsheild (spaceshield?) which is in a different direction than what we normally see! Great work! Quote
Guss Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Great spacefighter, looks like it's going to fly through space! Quote
Stefan Posted September 9, 2008 Author Posted September 9, 2008 Thank you!! @ Holodoc: Blue is one of my favourite colours (and I have many blue Lego parts) @ Zepher: This is my third MOC using this windscreen part, and on all three the part orientated this way. Here are the other two: Utility Mech, AT-AW. Quote
Quarryman Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Lovely Great colour combination, excellent parts usage, amazing greebling, and very inspirational too. Overall great work! Quote
Corvus Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 Beautiful. Sleek, looks fast! (You can tell I'm in no mood for grammar... ) Quote
Front Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 I love the colours and the building style. I had to go through your flickr pictures to get an idea of how this craft is flying (engine exhaust at the back). Any special propelling technology used ? Front Quote
zero1312 Posted September 9, 2008 Posted September 9, 2008 WOW, sleek, not too bright colored and sturdy looking. Well done!!! Quote
WhiteFang Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Stefan! Great innovative design. I must agreed that the SNOT approach is done in a very nice manner. I noticed that the cockpit could be lifted up. The navigation controls looks unique too. Quote
KimT Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Wauw - truly awesome design. I like the untraditional use of blue instead of the ordinary black, grey, white spaceships. Thanks for sharing your design with us Quote
xenologer Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 Nice one! Reminds me a lot of the Spinner cars from Blade Runner Quote
Stefan Posted September 10, 2008 Author Posted September 10, 2008 Yeah, I know, it looks a bit like a spinner. It's the fault of the round things on the inside of the madibles And the shape. And the colour. Quote
Stefan Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 Finally I found time to build it in an other colour scheme: Here's the RAMM-Edition, the xRAMM-21 "Sturmfalke": flickr | Brickshelf Regards, Stefan Quote
Asuka Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 A wonderful and very smart design. Both versions´re intriguing and elegant, the RAMM one looks more armed while the blue one looks a little more civilian, or maybe indeed like a police craft. Great work! Quote
Millacol88 Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Those are both very well done. Personally, I prefer the first one. It looks sleeker and faster than the dark gray one. It also has what is possibly the most uniqe colour schemes I have ever seen. I have very few blue bricks, and almost no light blue ones. Great job, great SNOT, keep it up! Quote
Stefan Posted October 25, 2008 Author Posted October 25, 2008 Thank you! @ millacol88: I haven't got many light blue bricks, too. The blue XR-21 is just standard blue. It looks like light blue due to overexposure. Quote
Stefan Posted May 26, 2009 Author Posted May 26, 2009 Hey! I just built another XR-21 in new colours: Gallery | Slideshow Regards, Stefan Quote
Optimus Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Very nice, just like the older variants. I actually like this one the best because the color scheme works out very nicely, especially the lime green and black stripes. Also, I love the way that you did the engines on all three of these. It's very simple yet cool looking. Quote
