Zepher Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Ha! I love that I called you Mary! Believe it or not, I reliezed that while reading this thread before I got to your post! It's funny, on another site I pretend to be both a female and a male, keeping them in doubt, so it was funny when I got that part. That's why a lot of my creations have a somewhat female themed side to them, and becuase I found like 200 pink flower petals at a Pick a Brick

MagPiesRUs Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 (edited) ... and when the zombie monkeys kill the good monkeys, the head zombie monkey shaman can cast a spell to turn the dead good monkeys into zombies, thus changing the balance of power quickly. However, all is not lost, for the good monkeys have some kind of Kolchak the Night Stalker character who can kill the zombies, help discover their leader, and write an article about it in time to make Vincenzo lose his mind. Or maybe just a monkey priest who could turn them back. You know, that would add one seriously new dimension to the whole thing... constantly changing sides with the goal being to discover one or two primary characters who serve as leaders on each side, while the minions switch loyalties back and forth with no knowledge of who they are working for. It's giving me a headache trying to figure out how to make it work, but it's damn brilliant. Believe it or not, this is quite common (not the zombie monkeys, the ability to change sides... ). In some games, instead of a mafia, there is a cult or werewolf that is able to turn townies into members of the scum. In fact, this idea will be used in my upcoming Witch Hunt Mafia (hows that for self-promotion? ). Edited October 7, 2008 by TinyPiesRUs
ptdapen Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 You fool, now everybody knows about how your game runs!
Dragonator Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 You are so close to being moved to the Lady group... Now that would be awesome. It's OK Mary, um, I mean Zepher, we all need to get in touch with our feminine sides. What do you think I've been doing the last few weeks, aye? I think Hinck was giving me some payback, but he doesn't know what I've got in store for him in Mystery Castle 2 now, does he? Then again, Darlene is a bit of a stunner, isn't she? Believe it or not, this is quite common (not the zombie monkeys, the ability to change sides... ). In some games, instead of a mafia, there is a cult or werewolf that is able to turn townies into members of the scum. In fact, this idea will be used in my upcoming Witch Hunt Mafia (hows that for self-promotion? ). That sounds pretty cool, although I don't really understand how it would work. I'm sure all will be made clear when your game starts though. You know, I went and looked at a couple of other Mafia game sites, and I have to say that the ones we hold on EB are much better quality. Some of those other sites just have people swearing and randomly voting and killing people for pages on end. Come to think of it, that's not to different to what we do... Nah, but seriously, I'm very happy with how our little EB Mafia community is, it seems far better than some of the Mafia game sites I took a look at. So there's something for you all.
Zepher Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Well Draggy, to tell you the truth, I'm hosting my own at my main site CABG. Mystery Castle made me interested, but mine's slightly different. Everyday (after day 2) I add a new twist to the game to confuse people Thanks for the inspiration! And Shadows... well... watch your back. :skull:
Shadows Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 And Shadows... well... watch your back. :skull: I would, but I'm too busy watching yours.

Obviously ours are better, we have LEGO But seriously, adding some MOCs of important things happening in the game really adds a lot of flavour to the mafia experience, especially when they are of such high quality as we have seen so far.
WhiteFang Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Personally, I think LEGO Mafia games are much representative and able to demostrate the entire story flow in an enjoyable reading and interactive experience for all of us. For the past 2 mafia games which I had particpated, it was indeed a very fun experience.
Zepher Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I would, but I'm too busy watching yours. Out of the game it seems creepy...
Adam Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Out of the game it seems creepy... Too right, Mary Zepher. I seriously hope that you'll be moved to the "Lady" catergory, or I'd be forced to believe that you each were engaging in some behind the scences behavior. I also favor the "turn sides" notion, and it will be incorporated into the How's THAT for self-promotion? Back on topic, I was wondering something about the latest day- are the green things Dillon's brains or Carter's puke?
Sir Dillon Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 the latest day- are the green things Dillon's brains or Carter's puke? I believe that's the remains of my head... that or it is Carter's puke, which means the killer probably took my head as a trophy or something. I wouldn't blame him, considering how stunningly handsome I was.
Hinckley Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 That is clearly Dillon's brains as it is there before Carter vomits. duh.
Bob Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Hey Iris, How are you talking to us if your driving 100 miles per hour down the freeway? Its a shame theres no one to do Moonlights Taxes. Now the IRS will steal all of your homes!
DJ Force Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Hey Betty, how are you talking to us if you´re dead? Just kidding
Lego12 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Ive come back as the Ghost of a Baritone! Whoa. The last episode of The Baritones was really creepy....poor Dillon. I wonder who decided to kill me....why me...why me!?!? Lego12
Scouty Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 That is clearly Dillon's brains as it is there before Carter vomits. duh. Why are they green, though? Did you not have an spare red cherries?
Hinckley Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 Why are they green, though? Shut up, that's why.
Bob Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Whoa. The last episode of The Baritones was really creepy....poor Dillon. I wonder who decided to kill me....why me...why me!?!? Lego12 He He He....(no comment) Mostly because your jokes were so awful. Not sure who decided to kill Florence though.
Sir Dillon Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 That is clearly Dillon's brains as it is there before Carter vomits. duh. Except if it was Carter who killed me, he could have thrown up as he was stealing my head, then threw up again afterwards!
Lego12 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Except if it was Carter who killed me, he could have thrown up as he was stealing my head, then threw up again afterwards! That's true! We have now found out that Carter is a Baritone because of the evidence that he supplied us! MY JOKES WERE NOT AWFUL!!! They were original.... It was already said who killed Florence, I think....a couple pages back. Lego12
Scouty Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 An end has come for this little town, in favor of the Citizens, it appears! Great pictures, Hink, really enjoyed the "no-commentary" conclusion.
Dragonator Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Am I imagining things, or did someone just delete my post in the other thread? Anyway, it's time to reveal all. Who wants to go first? EDIT: Am I just imagining things, or did the other thread just disappear entirely? You're really starting to confuse me Hinck.
Hinckley Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 Do me a favor, guys and forget you saw it. I'm trying to post it from the car and it keeps re-posting itself. It was supposed to be invisible but people were all over it somehow. I believe the slow connection keeps posting the topic anew. Needless to say, I'm really annoyed. I also forgot to upload one picture before I left so it won't be up until after Midnight, CDT. Sorry and Thanks.
