SWMAN Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 What a great show. When I found out a Terminator TV show was going to start, I was pretty skeptical. I am a big fan of the movies, and didn't feel like a Tv show could live up. Well, I was wrong. Personally, I love this show. The acting is great and the special effects are really good. Summer Glau as Cameron was the perfect pick. While she isn't as buff as Arnold, she brings comic relief to situations that are really serious. I just watched the season two premier last week and it lived up to my expectations. I am glad that Fox renewed it for a full season, and will be sad when it ends. Does anybody else love this show? We can keep it spoiler free if you guys want, or can talk about anything. Quote
furious Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Yes I do and the new season looks epic. Quote
Oky Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I am a Terminator fan and watch this show too. I don't love it, though. It's better than I thought, but not as good as I want it to be. It's just that it becomes a little boring during the slower parts. I would like to see some more action and/or suspense, and possibly some more tales from the future. But yeah, acting, effects, and writing are pretty good. I agree that although Arnie surely enhances Terminator, he is not necessary for a Terminator movie/show to be good. I haven't seen the Season 2 premiere, but I recorded it and will do that soon. I'LL BE BAAACK. Quote
JimBee Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Yes, I watched all of season one and am watching season two. New episode tonight. The acting is pretty good, and the person who plays John is a good choice. Same with Sarah. Quote
SWMAN Posted September 16, 2008 Author Posted September 16, 2008 So far I am impressed with this season. I like that Dereck Reese is a regular. I am interested in seeing what happens between John and Cameron. I have a feeling it will come down to him choosing between here or the new girl Riley. Personally, I think he will choose Cameron. She is always with him, she knows all about him and what is going on, and understands it. He can't really handle being social with someone who doesn't know. He would have to explain it to her and she probably would freak. Plus, he won't want to put her in danger. Also, Cameron is way hotter than Riley. Quote
furious Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 ep2 was little slow. Cameron was smoken hot though. Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 The last thing I saw of Terminator was the 3rd movie. (Meh!) But heck, once I free up some hard drive space I'll sample a few episodes of this to see if it's decent. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted September 17, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted September 17, 2008 Funny to see this topic. I've already watched the first season some time ago and I'm currently watching it again to refresh my memory for the second season. I just love this series. The cast is perfect. Especially Cameron is amazing. She can terminate me any day . Still one episode to go and then I'm ready for season 2. Quote
Sir Dano Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 (edited) It's an awesome show, a little slow at times, but other than that, it's great. Edited September 17, 2008 by sir dano Quote
JimBee Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 I agree, it can be slow if there aren't action scenes. I missed the last episode of the first season, but after seeing the "Last time, on..." from the first of the second, I didn't miss much. I also agree that Cameron is hot. Quote
WhiteHexagon Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 I must admit I mostly watch it for the 'HotBot' Looking fwd to season two, haven't seen it advertised here yet. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted September 19, 2008 Eurobricks Emperor Posted September 19, 2008 The first episode of season 2 was sooo very good. I've got a feeling that the series is still getting better and better with each new episode. Cameron (Summer Glau) is Quote

Don't read if you haven't seen the second episode of the second season yet, but giving John a girlfriend is lame, IMO. C'mon, they're running for their lives from nearly indestructible machines from the future, no need to bring in another random character. . But I'm anxious to see what will happen with John and Cameron sneaking parts for another Terminator (remember, in the first season?). Quote

I believe she will be used to let John appreciate Cameron more and finally push them to each other. . I like the introduction of that character. Quote
Dark Sword Ragnarok Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 I love this show. The first episode of the season was great. Didn't expect Cameron to glitch up like that! And when she tried to trick John, by saying she loved him, you could tell he hesitated to pull the plug. Hmmm, foreshadowing, perhaps? DSR Quote

Her glitch may have caused her to act more human and express her feelings, but I think that sometime will happen between them. Maybe even in the next episode on Monday. This show is the only reason I like Mondays. Quote
JimBee Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Her glitch may have caused her to act more human and express her feelings, Yeah, because now she's obsessed with Jesus. Quote

I think they introduced this new character to have a TFOL on the show! I'm talking about the robot MOC she made for John in the second episode of this season. Hilariously poor design btw! Not even John seemed to like it. Seriously, though, you're probably right, Jim. Quote
JimBee Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Oh, yeah, I forgot about that Lego robot. It looked like she puked out a dry rainbow. Quote
Captain REX Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 that scene made me think why not do a Lego terminator series.! lol Quote

Her glitch may have caused her to act more human and express her feelings, but I think that sometime will happen between them. Maybe even in the next episode on Monday. This show is the only reason I like Mondays. I meant the glitch caused by the Jeep exploding and damadging her chip. Also, agreed on the monday thing. Yeah, because now she's obsessed with Jesus. It looked like she puked out a dry rainbow. Agreed! that scene made me think why not do a Lego terminator series.! lol Also agree. But, you know, I really don't think that Cameron has the ability to love someone (even though she is smoking hot!!! ) just because of the fact that she is a Terminator. She does have the ability to fake it, however, just like the other Terminator (not Cromartie, I don't know which one it is) that was married to the lady (don't know her name either ) who designed the street camera program in Season 1 that Cameron sabotaged. I think when she said to John: "Don't do this John! I ran a test! I'm okay now, I'm good! Everything's okay now! This isn't right! I love you! I love you and you love me! This isn't right!", she was desperately trying to get John to stop so she could finish the job. Obviously, it almost worked. Even if Cameron is hot, I just don't see her and John being able to have a relationship, well, ever, really. It just doesn't seem right. I mean, does cameron even have everything an acual woman has? I mean, obviously she has her *cough*front and back*cough* but does she have...um... you know, the "rest of the works"? If you didn't catch my drift, I meant girl parts. If not, then how the hell would that work? Besides, Sarah and John's uncle would kill him. That, and, in T III they show John's wife in the future, and it sure as hell isn't Cameron. But still, maybe John and Cameron will, you know, "do it" at some point or another, but IMO thats as far as it will be able to go. DSR Quote
SWMAN Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 I was a little disappointed with tonight. The action was good, but John and Cameron did not hit it off like I thought they would. I still think it will happen, but maybe not until a later episode. I still think that she really does love him. . Quote

JimBee Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Okay, now Riley's starting to get on my nerves... she's holding back the story... but it was sad when you-know-who died. Quote
Dark Sword Ragnarok Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Okay, now Riley's starting to get on my nerves... she's holding back the story... but it was sad when you-know-who died. Wait, which one is Riely again? I never remember names in this show... I didn't realize Cromartie was the main Terminator until the seccond to last episode. I sat through the entire series, wondering "who the HELL is this Cromartie guy!?!?!" until I turned on my captions when he was talking, and it said CROMARTIE before his lines. Can't wait until the new episode is on! DSR Quote
