Dark Sword Ragnarok Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Riley is John's girlfriend. Oh. Can't believe I missed THAT. God, I swear I'm losing my mind sometimes, or at least my memory. Anyway, watching the new episode right now! DSR Quote
5150 Lego Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Great show. I missed last weeks episode, so i'm a bit confused on who the pregnat girl is? Oh, and is Joh's rebelious attitude getting on anyone elses nerves? I mean i can understand that he wants to live the life of a normal kid, but it kinda gets me that for the mostpart he's putting himself in danger. Quote
SWMAN Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 I am excited about next week. Learning about Cameron's past/future will be interesting. Maybe when she gets her memory back and comes back to the Connors, her and John will finally get together. I have a feeling that she has human emotions that she choses to turn off or hide but she still has them . Quote
JimBee Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 5150 Lego, the pregnant lady is the neighbor of the people who used to live in the house that Sarah bought. I'm really confused about the preview for next week. Is Cameron really a human impersonated by a Terminator? Or are there two of them? Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Well, I dl'ed the first episode of Season one and I have to say I liked it. 2 things though... --It REALLY felt like a flashback episode to all the movies that came before it, scene by scene. Bank vault and safe deposit boxes? Crypt with coffins. Gas station scene, programmer's house scene, etc etc... Mind you, that's good. I'm just hungry now to see what the rest of the episodes are possibly going to do / have done. --The Terminator chick... I'm not buying that she's all robot. Terminator 1 - metal robot Terminator 2 - liquid nanite robot Terminator 3 - metal / liquid nanite robot This series... "I'm different". I take this as she's not just a metal robot. It would not be shocking to find an episode in the future where she gets killed, only to have John find she had a human brain inside, like a chick that dug him and was severely injured in some battle. I'm talking cyborg here, people. And really, those poor future humans could really use a technology like that. ::runs off to figure out what to delete on HD to make room for rest of episodes:: (Burner's broke.) >__< Well, I dl'ed the first episode of Season one and I have to say I liked it. 2 things though... --It REALLY felt like a flashback episode to all the movies that came before it, scene by scene. SWMAN Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 I think that all terminators are based off of real humans. A deleted scene for I believe Terminator 3 showed Arnold doing a commercial for Skynet talking about how he was the model for the new terminators. He is talking in a southern accent, and suddenly his real voice overlays. I think that we are going to see some scenes from Cameron's past (our future) and how she got created, including the human she is based off of. I am not so sure about a human brain being inside, but I think that she can have real emotions and real thoughts and ideas, and really loves John. I think in the next episode or two we will find out with some cheesy thing where at the end of the episode when the song is playing, we will see them making out and then fall down onto a bed. The usual cheesy love scenes that aren't really inappropriate. If not soon, they will wait until the end of the season. Depending on if it is renewed (i really hope so) or not I think will determine when they show their love thing. Quote
Oky Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Well, anyone who has seen the first episode of season 2 knows that Cameron doesn't have a real brain, just a metallic skull with the usual main processor chip thingy in it . So, I don't think she's a cyborg. But I do believe that she is "different" and is developing emotions. The episode in the first season where she learns ballet and keeps practicing it even after her mission is over and she is not required to do so anymore shows that very well I think. That's probably also why she said "Don't let John reactivate me when I go bad again" - she really cares about John. Therefore, a make-out scene between them is possible IMO. I don't really care, though. I just want to see her kick some butt again! She is hot when she kicks butt! I'd love to see her fight that new T-1000, Catherine Weaver, who is a very cool character (T-1000s rock!) and a great addition to the series IMO! I'm not digging Riley, though. She's a weird girl. For some reason I don't think John should be hanging out with her. Besides, her MOCing skills are terrible! Quote
SWMAN Posted September 26, 2008 Author Posted September 26, 2008 Yeah, Riley is kind of annoying. I think in the last episode when John got mad at her at the Pier it kind of solidified her position in the show. I have a feeling that she will appear in the show some more, but John and her will not get together. Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 I'm into episode 6 now of the first season... I'm pretty surprised. I'm not feeling embarrassed at anything "stupid" like every other "serious" tv show does. It's been so long since I ENJOYED a show. Noticed in episode 2, a Terminator scans Cameron and his display says something like "undetermined cyborg". I still say Cameron's like a freedom fighter whose mind and body were so messed up that they gave her a new body. If she starts having flashbacks to scenes hidden by amnesia, I would NOT be shocked. In episode 5, I was getting into the action scene near the end with the inmate Terminator who just got restrained, and wound up laughing out loud when Cameron broke the moment with, "Get me a toolbox!". This show so far makes up for the 3rd movie. I didn't HATE the movie, it just... ah, I dunno'. It was no T2. This is. Quote
SWMAN Posted September 29, 2008 Author Posted September 29, 2008 (edited) Once you get to the second season, the fourth episode actually is about Cameron's past. Looks pretty interesting. I don't think she has a human brain, but she is more human than the other terminators. The 3rd movie just took it too far. T2 was amazing, and it could have ended with that. T3 just tried to extend the story. Still, they needed T3 to be able to make the TV show or Terminator Salvation. Ok, so I was impressed and confused by the new episode tonight. I like that they showed Cameron's past, but I am confused about how Cameron gets to be a good Terminator. If she infiltrates John's camp, how can she be good ? I am excited about next week. I am still waiting for John and Cameron to hook up. Edited September 30, 2008 by SWMAN Quote

Good way to look into things. I just got done watching the new episode, and while i won't spoil it for you, your not far off at all. After watching, i'm conviced that its no quicidence that Cameron was chosen to go back and protect him. You meantion Cameron and John hooking up. While i don't believe they themselfs will, i'm preety sure that sometime in the future he will have some kind of a relationship with the human girl she is based on. MAybe his wife, or girlfriend in the future. Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 ::still waiting for more eps. to finish dling:: I'd also not be surprised to find Cameron sent herself back, either against the will or without consent of anybody else. Quote
JimBee Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Last week's was alright, just a "learning episode" for Sarah and Cameron. Cameron's character development is coming around nicely, though. Yesterday's was an awesome one. Martin was a very good character, and I wish he could have stayed in the show a bit longer. That scene when they blew up the Terminator was great. One part that was dumb, though, was the kid that Sarah saved from the Terminator. He was... about nine years old, and talked like he was a grown adult... kind of a punk, too. Quote
SWMAN Posted October 8, 2008 Author Posted October 8, 2008 The kid that Sarah saved was kind of weird. He barely questioned them and was fine with being away from his parents. Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Saw the episode where they linked Cameron to the street light infrastructure... how'd she know Reese killed the Turk creator after doing that? Like from security cams or something? Quote

I am not quiet sure. That was a little too long ago for me. Quote
simonjedi Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 I brought season one on DVD yesterday, and season 2 starts on tv soon! Quote
5150 Lego Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 The second season has been on for a month now. Quote
Oky Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 The second season has been on for a month now. Don't rub it in! Poor simonjedi can't do anything about the fact that his country gets the episodes later than us. Btw, what do you guys think is Catherine Weaver (the red haired T-1000) trying to accomplish by having the black police officer (forgot his name now ) look for terminators? (Don't read the spoilers if you haven't seen any season 2 episode yet.) Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Was there an episode last week? Didn't see it on any download sites. I'm guessing that the red-haired liquid lady just wants to use a guy with FBI resources to be an extra eye out for Cameron, though there's sure to be more than one motive in using him specifically. ::wonders how Sarah will get cancer:: ...probably in the finale of the entire series, whenever that is... like some act of self-sacrifice that puts her somewhere dangerous and radiationy (like Cameron's power supply blowing up!) lol. JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Oh, it did?!? I thought she had a clean bill of health at the end of the nuclear episode... then again, I was dead-assed tired when I watched it. Man, that was some brutality on the last one, what with Cameron doing what she did to her enemy lol. I'm glad it didn't get away to show up in more episodes like the others tend to do. I continue to be impressed with this show. The cast is really growing in number now. Amazing they can bring in 3 new characters in the same episode and not have things get all confusing with bad writing. ::goes in toy bins to dig out old John Connor figure on motorbike:: Quote
Oky Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I didn't get to see the last episode completely! I wanted to record it, but my stupid TV only recorded 11 minutes of it! I didn't see anything after John almost shot himself. However, I did see how that little girl preferred to play with her Lego than hang out with her creepy Terminator mom. Can't blame her at all. This was the second appearance of Lego in this show! A clear proof that this season is better than the first one! I bet there are some AFOLs in the film crew! Does anyone know how I can catch up on the rest of the episode? Quote
