simonjedi Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 I watched "Desert Cantos" last night and I enjoyed it. Needed more Beastwizard though. I'm positive that the UFO is actually a Hunter killer prototype, http://www.digitaljournal.com/img/2/1/0/8/...Terminator_.jpg http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/terminat...7/74/213-01.jpg as well as that, look at Derek's face when he sees it, it looks much more than sa "this thing is actually real" Quote
simonjedi Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Am I the only one still watching? I did enjoy "Some Must Watch, While Some Must Sleep" the Dream/Real sequences was quite well done. Still no Beastwizard, but Summer Glau in her undies made it alright ;) Quote
Oky Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Am I the only one still watching? Don't worry, I'm still watching it. I'm just a bit behind (for US standard) because I'm quite busy lately. That's why I was staying away from this topic in order to avoid spoilers. I did enjoy "Some Must Watch, While Some Must Sleep" the Dream/Real sequences was quite well done. That's the last one I saw too. Yes, this was kind of a trippy episode, which is good. But I, too, am getting tired of all those weird Sarah episodes. Why can't she just die already! Nah, JK. Seriously, though, I don't know where they're going with this, but they better get there soon. This show has come a long way from what we define as "Terminator", and I don't wish this show to end in a disaster. Still no Beastwizard, but Summer Glau in her undies made it alright ;) It sure did! Beastwizard? Are you talking about Cromartie aka, John Henry? Yeah, I guess they should show more of him. But I think they are stretching his story out because it's part of the season finale. I wonder what he'll be doing the next time we see him. Perhaps he'll be playing with Lego Agents and demonstrate how much superior the cyborgs are over the humans. Quote

Yeh, its a fan nick name for him, George Lazlo (The person Cromartie stole his looks and name from) was in a direct to DVD film called Beastwizard, which has become a cult classic because of how awesomely bad it is clips here: http://io9.com/5053927/you-cant-escape-the...if-youd-want-to Edited March 20, 2009 by simonjedi Quote
Sir Dano Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 I found that the series was starting to get a tad boring, but the last episode was great. Quote
SWMAN Posted March 22, 2009 Author Posted March 22, 2009 I was behind about 4 weeks, and finally decided to give up. It had been in the back of my mind for a while, and I was not really interested in watching four episodes. They got away from the action and started getting way too emotional and physiological for me. It became all about Sarah and her mental problems, plus the issues between Riley and John/Cameron/the other girl. Quote
DarthSion Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 The last few episodes were awesome, but im glad this will no doubt get axed, with all thats going on, and everyone dead. Quote
Sir Dano Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 (edited) and everyone dead. Or are they? The last few minutes of the finale were crazy. But I really hope it gets at least another season. Edited April 11, 2009 by Sir Dano Quote
SWMAN Posted April 11, 2009 Author Posted April 11, 2009 I missed the last 5 or 6 episodes and I am not planning on catching up. It got way too philosophical for me. Some episodes barely had any action. I am really excited for Terminator Salvation, which looks like a great reboot of the series. Quote
DarthSion Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Or are they? The last few minutes of the finale were crazy. But I really hope it gets at least another season. The blonde oh to keep it nice, lets say "actress", is dead, who was forced into the show by fox. The Aussie Asian "actress" is dead. Charlie is dead, which is a pity because i liked him, more so from him as Ryan in OZ. And Derek is dead. Sarah it seems has cancer. And i highly doubt there will be another season, the ratings were very poor, due to fox forcing the writers to do things the way fox wants. Then again, Simpsons, American dad, Family guy, Futurama, they are nothing compared to what they were but fox still flogs the dead horse. Quote
Captain REX Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 For God sake cant you guys be asked to put in spoiler tags? i still have the last few episodes to watch and now you just ruined it for me. Quote
Captain REX Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 so? your saying that if i want to not have the story ruined for me, then i cant discuss it with other people just because people from other countrys who see it before me are too lazy to put in spoiler tags? That is far too lazy. Quote
Sir Dano Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 The blonde is dead, The Aussie Asian is dead. And good riddance to them. Charlie is dead, which is a pity because i liked him, more so from him as Ryan in OZ. Meh, he didn't really serve any purpose, IMO.And Derek is dead. No he ain't. ;) Sarah it seems has cancer. Doesn't really matter, as she seems to be dead. Quote
Lasse D Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Just watched the last episode now. It is the kind of episode you would make to end a show: A lot of unanswered questions (when, who, what, WHAT!?) attempt to tie up some loose ends (Aerial Hunter), and stuff that doesn't make sense (ell). It will be interesting to see if the movie will carry on with some of the elements from the series. Quote
SWMAN Posted April 11, 2009 Author Posted April 11, 2009 It says SPOILER ALERT in the heading. Yes it does. But most people have been considerate enough to put sensitive information, such as what happened to everybody in the last episode, in Spoiler Black. It would be nice if people could respect the fact that not everybody who reads the thread has seen all the way through. Quote
DarthSion Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) Simple facts. 1. It says in clear capital letters, SPOILER ALERT!. 2. You chose to ignore the spoiler warning. 3. You chose to click the thread. 4. You chose to read. Edited April 12, 2009 by DarthSion Quote
Captain REX Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 yes and as stated before simple facts: 1. People in other countrys see this episode before me like you for instance. 2. i DONT want to have the series ruined for me. 3. putting in spoiler tags is easy. 4. your to lazy to put them in. 5. according to you if i dont want to have the series ruined for me i cant join in the disscussion just because your to lazy to put them in. While it does say SPOILER ALERT, we have also established a while ago that people in different countries see episodes at different times. Up until this points, most people have been courteous enough to use Black Spoiler Bars with sensitive info about an episode that just came out. Please try to respect that. Quote
Oky Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Well, I saw the season finale too now, and I guess it was OK. It could have used a little more action. Seeing Cameron with her face half torn open Arnold-style was pretty cool, though, and I liked the fact that Weaver is actually a good guy. Her actions throughout the show wouldn't have made any sense otherwise. But I don't get the whole "Will you join us?"-thing. Why did she want Cameron to join her? Did she intend for John Henry to do what he did? And if she is a good guy and wanted them to join her, why did she say no when she was asked the same thing in Jessie's sub? It's all still very confusing, which makes me hope even more that the show will return. On Yahoo!, somebody made a list of shows that deserve to return in fall, and TSCC is amongst them (LINK). The scene with Cameron and John on the bed was rather confusing as well, in an awkward kinda way. But, boy, is she hot! Yet another reason for the show to return! Now, I guess the only thing we can do is hope (and wait for Rex to finally catch up ). Quote
SWMAN Posted April 15, 2009 Author Posted April 15, 2009 I caught a little bit of the series finale, and with the way they ended it, the show needed to end. They pretty much wrapped up the story with the death of certain characters and the "movement" of others. I think the last few minutes is more evidence that they TV show doesn't really connect to the movies. I agree that the bedroom scene was pretty awkward. I didn't quiet understand what John was looking for, but I think it was really to show what their relationship could have been and what John's might be with the human she is based off of. Overall, I think it was a could attempt to to try to bring Terminator to the small screen, but they should not try again. With the new movie coming out, I could see them trying to make a series about the war. However, Christian Bale would never agree to do a TV series, and without him it would be pointless. Someone else as John would suck. Quote
5150 Lego Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I stopped watching about 4 weeks ago. The series just got lame. NO action. Completely oppisite of what terminator should be. Its a story of time traveling robots that nuke the world. Not a doctor Phil sesion. Good riddance. Quote

Its a story of time traveling robots that nuke the world. Not a doctor Phil sesion. Good riddance. I totally agree, and that is why I also stopped about 5-6 weeks ago. I only watched bits of the finale online to see what happened. As you said, it became way too philosophical and dramatic, losing the action part of it. The movies did a great job having tons of action while at the same time fitting in all the back story stuff. They showed an extended preview of the new movie during Bones last night, and it looks EPIC! While it does have a PG-13 rating, unlike previous R's, the MPAA has become really lax on violence lately, with Live Free or Die Hard and The Dark Knight being pretty violent but only getting PG-13. So, the action looks amazing and I am guessing that they didn't sacrifice anything to get the lower rating. Quote

Action looks top notch, and the story line looks good. I'm begining to think that this justmight be a good movie dispite the absence of "The Governator". By the looks of the previews, it looks like were in for a few surprises. Very cool! Quote

I have been reading a lot about it, and from what I understand, Arnold will be in it, kind of. There is an actor who is a body double for the Terminator, and they are using Arnie's voice and face for the character. Not 100% sure about this. Quote
