Posted September 20, 200816 yr I'm an AFOL in my mid-40s who discovered this hobby because of my job -- I'm an educator teaching a media class and wanted to learn claymation. Clay, being messy in the hands of 11-13 year-olds, wasn't going to work. Then I found brickfilming (Thanks to the classic "Camelot" song from Monty Python done in Lego) and before long it became a hobby. I'm currently making a castle-themed film (you can see part one in the stories section of Classic-Castle.com, btw) and am moving on to a space film next, I think. My dark age, if you will, began in the early 1970s -- before minifigs -- and ended about two years ago. My avatar is actually a family heirloom; it was a gift I bought my now 30-year-old nephew back when he is a boy. He bequeathed it to me when this whole brickfilming thing started. Talk about going full circle. As for themes, I'm a castle and classic space sort of guy, with some town tossed in there as well. If, as rumored, pirates are making a comeback then I'm scratching together some cash and jumping into that as well. I've lurked here a few times, but this Yank living in Southern Indiana, U.S.A., is hoping to pick up on some tips and tricks to make my MOCs actually worth taking photos of. Thanks for having me!
