SuvieD Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 In a scientific study it is been shown the powerful use mirror could have in navel battles. Follow the link to see the results. "Sea" Mirror Results I had to laugh when I saw this. This is what we need to do to certain companies! Quote
xwingyoda Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 LOOOOOL, great link SuvieD :oD Death ray on all Lego cheap ripp offs !!!!!!!!!! Also, don't you think the ship looks better after than before the ray :D ?? Quote
Lost Viking Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 ROFLMAO! thats hilarious, we should get together every year and do that! Quote
Jipay Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I saw this ship in a toy shop yesterday. The design is nice but the quality is the poorest I've seen so far :^^D Quote
xwingyoda Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 I saw this ship in a toy shop yesterday. The design is nice but the quality is the poorest I've seen so far :^^D And you did not buy it ??? :D :P Quote
SuvieD Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 I wish they would have used the skull ship instead. If you look at the rest of the items they destroy you can see that they only pay very little to try out the destruction of certain items. The must have gotten that cheapo ship at a second hand sale for cheap! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted August 27, 2005 Governor Posted August 27, 2005 Even though this is inferior MegaBloks crap I feel as though it belongs with the other pirate threads. It is symbolic that MegaBloks Pirates cannot stand up against LEGO Pirates. Quote
jonfett Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 When I first saw the site I thought someone had destroyed Lego.. :oo! But I was glad to see it was the enemy :-D Maybe we should construct a huge mirror and direct it at the MB factory?! ;) Jon. Quote
SuvieD Posted August 29, 2005 Author Posted August 29, 2005 Canada would be furious! *devil* I think that Megabloks is switching their stuff. It looks less and less like LEGO with every new series. Some day soon it will be so unrecognizable it may even start selling in the EU. Thankfully LEGO is changing everthing for the better so MB really will not be able to compete w/LEGO in the construction category. By then they will dominate the action toy category with their sets. Oh, and that is a bestlock pirate ship. ;) Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted August 30, 2005 Governor Posted August 30, 2005 Does LEGO have the same melting temperature as MegaBloks or any of the other imitation brands? Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted August 30, 2005 Governor Posted August 30, 2005 I'm sure I read once to store LEGO below 40 Quote
Gallus Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 To Mr. Phes- I've heard in several places that the competition brands use PVC( the kind of plastic used to protect underground electrical wires.) Quote
Mr. Lego-builder Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 In that case, the melting point of PVC plastic is about 95 Quote
SuvieD Posted August 31, 2005 Author Posted August 31, 2005 Whith that much heat I would say that yes LEGO would melt also. Though I don't think clone brands are pure pvc. Only in part. LEGO is generally 80-100% ABS and it can withstand intense heat longer than the inferior clones. Yet, i am unmoved and unwilling to test it. So when someone does let use know the result. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted August 31, 2005 Governor Posted August 31, 2005 What a shame I don't own any MegaBloks... I could have lots of fun experimenting... Quote
keetongu Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 It's so hilarious, why would you do such a thing?I use a magnifying glass to melt 2 bionicle masks. :D :-D Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted September 5, 2005 Governor Posted September 5, 2005 I've got some LEGO magnifying glasses... I wonder how that would work out... Quote
Cpt. Blackbeard Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Funny but still I would like that in my collection. BTW thats not Mega Block thats Bestlock |-D |-D And I have a bigger Bestlock ship and would never do anything to harm it :P Quote
christopher110 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I really hate those imitators . . . Let's burn all of them Quote
