From Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. For an upcoming larger scale MOC. The photography may be a Nadroj ripoff, but the design is all my own.

Visit it on MOCPages and on FlickR.

Thanks :classic:

Great job! IMO, this is far better than SirNadroj's! Can't wait for the entire MOC. :classic:

I really admire that you wanted to include as many details as it was only possible in this MOC by I dislike the overall shape of the car. I've never seen a jeep like that.

The MOC is good as the technique/detail MOC but not good as the jeep MOC.

I have to agree with Intact. The details are great, as are the techniques, but I think you tried to include too much in a small space. The front it a little too flat and the back is a tad bit awkward, IMHO. The middle is good, though. It would look nice with the official Raiders Staff Car... I like how you can fit things in the trunk, but I think it needs just a little revising. Hope this helps.

I'm not trying to shamlessly self-advertise here ( ) but check out the overall shape of my original jeep:

Notice how it's a little more curvacious. But it's a good start! :classic:

I think what seems awkward is the 8-wide to 6-wide transition that jeep makes. Also the mudguard and other flaps on the jeep may be a little awkward and change the shape of the jeep.

I'm also not sure weather to call it jeep or not since it has been a while since I Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. The scene is going to be the one where the Soviets are in the middle of the nuclear bomb and everything is chaos. When in the MOC this car will be shrapnal and the figs will be flying in every direction. (If that is possible).

To much detail in a small space... it sounds like a vignette. :classic:

Thanks for the feedback Intact and Sir Nadroj and thanks to everyone else who left a comment. :classic:

nice jeep  the design is amazing, I 'm really impatient to see the whole moc!

I like it, and I think some of the criticisms are actually positive points. Some realism may be lost, but the design chosen allows more fun, more features, and a style not hampered by trying to squeeze a select few not quite fitting bricks in (having 8 wide at the back is necessary I think to make it interesting, while six wide at front means it doesn't look too huge). I think some designer attempts at more realism just result in a contrived Lego model (example would be the hinged doors on the Custom Garage set cars), whereas this looks more "Lego set-like".

Both newright's design and SirNadroj's design have their flaws and goodpoints.SirNadroj's one is nice as it is cartoonish and kiddy in the sense that it will definetyl appeal to more children. :classic: Newright's design will be based more on the actual thing. It is a very good replica of the car and I really like the boot! I cant wait to see both your cars after you finish designing them! :sweet:

Great job, I love how you did the mudguards. This is a very good jeep. All it needs is a monkey, and then it would be perfect.

Wow, I would really like to see the finished scene on this one too, the scale rocks!

I agree (a bith) with Sirnadroj, Intact and others, about the shape. Commie Jeeps looked a bit different though...

Overall: I give it an 8,5/10 anyhows.

I like your jeep just as much, Sirnadroj, I hadnt seen it before.

Man, both of those look awsome! NewRight's looks like its got too much junk in the trunk but still remains pwnsome. I'd totally steal them from my neighbor when he goes downstairs to help his mom with the groceries! wait, no, um, I mean, uh, YOU HEARD NOTHING!

Not bad at all... in fact a very appealing design. Great work!

Thanks for sharing and God Bless,

Nathan

New Right's is better

not to be mean or anything.

I think your "jeep" design is really accurate to the one in the movie but I think this is not a jeep but more of a russian militar vehicle. I think the vehicle in the movie is not even a jeep too. Good job  , I can´t wait to see the whole diorama.

8-wide in the back and 6-wide in the front was the only way I could fit the details I wanted.

That's a beauty. It has every thing you want in a jeep.

Oh wait I suppose it dosen't have a radio :cry_sad:.
