DJ Force Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 (edited) I bought the 10200 Custom Garage the other day and I am VERY pleased. But 3 cars isn´t enough, so I built a 1991 Chevrolet Camaro in LDD, which I´d like to share with you: http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/Produ...31-7658ba016ce5 Pieces: 244 Price: EUR 25.27 Of course the engine is removable to place one of those cool modular engines in it. I´ll try and see if I have the bricks to build this for real and then I´ll see if there´s a chance (or the need) to refine the car a little. Edited October 3, 2008 by DJ Force Quote
Guss Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 hehe , nice camaro too bad the price with ldd are a little high ( 25€ for 224 pieces is a little too much I think) and you did a nice job to adapt the custom garage engine ^^ Quote
maiq the liar Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Why not upload it to the gallery? if i tried to build it, it'd be a multicolored piece of trash... Quote
DJ Force Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 Say again...? It IS uploaded to the galery, or what are you talking about? Quote
Zorro Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Nice job you did, Dj Force. 25 USD is quite much for the number of pieces, but Factory builds are always more expensive... I think the 10200 Custom Garage brings a lot of possibilities or those that love building cars, there are some unique bricks that can be found here. After seeing this, I must admit one can build nice things with LDD. I had doubts about LDD after seeing some of the later LDD build MOCs... Keep 'em building Dj Force ! Quote
DJ Force Posted October 7, 2008 Author Posted October 7, 2008 Thanks Zorro. And yes, I keep ´em coming! Already I have finished a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette. http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/Produ...0c-1899a1cabd1b Pieces: 200 Price: EUR 21.40 Quote
WhiteFang Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Nice design. Florence DJForce, I like the LDD designs you have done. Both vehicles, especially the red corvette look good for a LDD design. It's a pity that the price is a little steep, and this Factory feature is not available in my country. I will hope that you will purchase your own design and shared with us some nice nifty pictures. Lego12 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Those cars are really nice. I would purchase them, but they are too expensive.... Lego12 Quote
Guss Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 this corvette is fantastic ! Djforce, you are a car customizer master! :P Quote
DJ Force Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Thank you very much! What shall be the next car? I´ve got plans for a 69 Camaro, a 79 Corvette and a 79 Firebird, but I am open for suggestions Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Perhaps a '65 'Stang or Dodge Challenger would go nicely. or maybe a minnie. Quote
LegoFranks Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I'd love to see if you could make a Mini! "Yer only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!" M. Quote
DJ Force Posted October 10, 2008 Author Posted October 10, 2008 Well... I could try to tackle a Mini, but would that be the Original or the new-really-big-car-that-doesn´t-deserve-to-be-called-Mini? Furthermore, that car wouldn´t have the ability to swap engines since the engine compartment is far too small to fit the 4x4 stud engines in it. Quote
DJ Force Posted October 17, 2008 Author Posted October 17, 2008 I decided to skip the Mini (for now) and rather continue with some more modular engine cars. Here´s the 1986 Indy Pace Car Chevrolet Corvette: With engine installed: and a reara view: Please note: I already changed the back on the first picture, but am too lazy now to take new pics of the other views, too Here´s the factory link: http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/Produ...24-3507b8b52f4b and the detail: Item #: LFH002 Pieces: 214 Price EUR 21.71 Quote
DJ Force Posted November 6, 2008 Author Posted November 6, 2008 Do you remember "The Fall Guy"? Colt Seavers, Howie Munson and the oh-so-gorgeous Jody Banks? Even if it´s not ringing a bell yet, this certainly´ll do: Well, Colt was always driving around in his 1982 GMC Sierra Grande 2500 Pickup Truck, and since I recently bought the first season of The Fall Guy on DVD and watched the first episodes, I just HAD to build this truck. Well, I couldn´t build a lifesize Heather Thomas, so I had to go with the second best of the show Here it is! 8 studs wide instead of the usual 6 studs, but the car IS wider than a normal one. Here´s the link to the factory page: http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/Produ...2c-174e199afb08 and the details: Pieces: 320 Price: EUR 39.69 Quote
VBBN Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Okay, I LOVE that pickup truck. VERY well done, DJ. Quote
DJ Force Posted November 7, 2008 Author Posted November 7, 2008 (edited) Thanks a lot, VBBN! Glad you like it! Just a little sad that noone else seems to be interested in creating more cars for this set. I don Edited November 13, 2008 by DJ Force Quote
Col. Brik Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Do you remember "The Fall Guy"? I do. Great MOC of his truck. I love the Custom Garage Set, it was pricy but worth it to add to the collection. Nice Camaro and Vette also. Quote
FreeBee Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Just a little sad that noone else seems to be interested in creating more cars for this set. Im more a 4wider myself but its nice to see all the great designs. I decided to skip the Mini (for now) and rather continue with some more modular engine cars. Here is great one : Quote
Col. Brik Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Just a little sad that noone else seems to be interested in creating more cars for this set. I've done a couple for my setup, the modular engines not in them, but the hoods remove and the blower style intake setup is under the hood. Quote
Asuka Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Wow, these cars´re very smooth and sporty, and yeah, that pickup´s a real hotty indeed... Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Here is great one : That mini is a work of art - do you have the instructions for it? Quote
DJ Force Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 I've done a couple for my setup, the modular engines not in them, but the hoods remove and the blower style intake setup is under the hood. Show them! Quote
Col. Brik Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 (edited) Show them! Here ya go. 1960 Chevy Apache 1969 Chevy Camaro 2002 Chevy TrailBlazer didn't want to just throw them in your thread and seem like I was hijacking it Hoping to improve on them when I get the right parts. DJ Force Posted November 18, 2008 Author Posted November 18, 2008 Read the title and especially its subtitle again! New Cars for 10200 Custom Garage, Post your creations here! Anyway, that Apache is great! I´d love to build one for myself. Care to show some building steps? But honestly I wouldn´t recognize that Camaro to be a Camaro, and I´m not sure about the proportions of the Blazer. Think you might need to work on those again for greater likeness. Quote
