Read the title and especially its subtitle again!

New Cars for 10200 Custom Garage, Post your creations here!

Anyway, that Apache is great! I´d love to build one for myself. Care to show some building steps?

But honestly I wouldn´t recognize that Camaro to be a Camaro, and I´m not sure about the proportions of the Blazer. Think you might need to work on those again for greater likeness.

Oops,.missed that one in the title, my bad. The sad part is it is staring right at me now.

Let me see what I can do for the building steps, It's been a while since it was created. Credit for it goes to my brother, he did a majority of the building on it and I tweaked it when he was done.

I'd agree, the Camaro is tough to tell from the front, my windshield choices where running thin.

The backside I had better luck with I think. And I will agree, the TrailBlazer needs work. Again, suffering from a lack of proper blue. I think I can give it another go soon enough, or work on it.

Thanks for the comments and compliments.

Very nice, Col. Brik. Especially that neat Apache and that cool Trailblazer look great! default_classic.gif

And thanks, Asuka, for your compliments.

Yes, I can tell from the backside that it must be a Camaro. That tailwing is so classic! :cry_happy:

What years model is it supposed to be, though? I assume soemwhere around ´69?

I was trying to build a ´79 Camaro the other day, but failed miserably in LDD. But I guess those new 1x2 cheese grill slopes would work perfect for the front when used snotty :classic: Only question is how to build the headlights then. There are two round headlights on each side, and with the 2 cheese grills we would have an 8 studs wide car. :sadnew: Any idea? Anybody?

btw: I

btw: Im green with envy! Care to share a pic of your real Camaro? I used to drive a 91 Camaro but had to part with it a few years ago :pir-cry_sad:

First Gen Camaro, 67-69, is what it is based on, specifically a 69'.

For a 79 you could just use a single clear on each side for each headlight, they are sloped, so maybe a sloped clear would work. You could still keep it six wide since most would recognize it as a Second Generation Camaro just with the sloped front.

Here is a picture of the 69

Next try will be the Edsel.

I'm still trying to figure out the parts for the Edsel.

Great cars! Thanks for the pics!

That Edsel is really big. Maybe you could make that one 8 studs wide? Don´t know...

As for the parts... I´ll give it a thought or two!

or 7 wide, with a 6 wide windshield.

When you look at it from the front it could go like this... OOM#MOO. O is a headlight M is a snot 1X2 tile and # is a 1X2 lattice plate.

You would locate the windshield using the 1X2 plate with 1 knob.

You could even make it seat 4 minifigs, give them all guns and make it a gangbanger car :-D

Lemme know what you think! :classic:

That's pretty good. It looks very much like KITT. Glad you went classice KITT and not the new one, Wow, epic fail on that show.

Thee Pirate, thanks for the ideas on the front, I think I will use them. :classic:

This typical. I was actually considering buying your Corvette and KITT models. The 'Vetter isn't available in the states and KITT isn't available due to bricks being out of stock. The bricks ALWAYS seems to be out of stocks on LDD models I see and like.

Can't even download the instructions! KITT gives an error message.

Any chance of a two-tone KARR with amber/trans-orange scanner to go with KITT? (KARR was KITT's "evil twin", in his second episode he had a yellow scanner and a silver or light-gray bottom half.)

Very nice work--looks like the closest to accurate a Minifig Knight Firebird can get...

Hell!

I feel honored someone is actually considering to buy my creations. I actually bought the Corvette from S@H, so I could give you the parts inventory to buy the parts from Bricklink shops. Might be cheaper, too.

About KITT... Forget it. I wanted to have it with modular engine, but when looking at it now I think its a bunch of crap. I´ll redesign the car to look better without the modular engine and have a KARR alternate, too.

Uh! I just checked why the Vette isn´t available and it seems that it´s because I named it "Corvette". It´s trademarked, so it cannot show up on the factory site. I might upload it again tonight with a different name if you want.

I really like the KITT model as it is...the grille is well done, and the angular lines of the normal GM F-Body look very good rendered in Lego. When you finish modifying it, I would really like to see how you treated the rear view, as well. What looks oddest to me are the wheels, to be honest. If you could find a way to make them protrude less from the body, your KITT would be much improved.

Posted

Yeah, I hate the wheels, too. Still, they were the only ones I could use if I wanted the KITT hubcaps.

I guess I´ll just skip the caps in the next version and rather go for proportionally correct wheels.

And since you asked for it... Here´s the back of KITT:

I like the way you've done the KITT. The best part I would have to say is the hood, and the front fender, I really like the angled look of it. I think that for one of your next cars, you should do a Dodge Challenger.

Posted

Excellent idea! I´ve been eyeing with a Challenger for a long time now. Enough is enough  But first I´ll try to finish the ´69 Camaro I started earlier today. I´ll post pictures in a second.

Oh, I posted my MOC truck before:

Truck for Horse Transport

But I didn't realise this thread. Maybe I share a few photos previously posted.

This truck is modernized and heavily modified from the truck from 7622. The cockpit has been totally revamped as well as the front engine part. The truck is made to adapt to interchangeable engines from 10200. Doors at two sides and elevation platform at rear part are added for additional fun. The truck body has been modified to allow carriage of a horse comfortably, with elevation platform able to lower to allow the horse to walk into or out of the truck.

Nope, sadly not anymore in the modular engine style. But I´m still making more cars in that optical design style, meaning lots of small bricks and equally sized.

I´m actually waiting for some bricklink deliveries and have some cool photos soon. :classic:
