DarthSion Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Ah i don't know, all i know is he is very fat, because in and interview with Takie he joked about playing another fat guy, some how they think his voice sounds fat. (Is that even possible). He is popping up allot recently isn't he, first in Red Alert 3, and now in clone wars. Quote
DarthSion Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I'll take your word for it, can't stand that show. Quote
Corvus Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 I just saw Defenders of Peace. I swear, the episodes just keep getting better and better. My only, and I mean ONLY, gripe with the episode was how they dodged the searchlights, and still used their lightsabers. The 'secret weapon' turned out much better than I expected, too- I thought it was just a really big gum mounted on a normal AAT, but no- some thing that destroys everything living, vs. pacifists. Very good way to show the Jedi's stance in the war. I liked how Anakin basically said, "Screw you, we're saving you even if you don't want to." The next episode, Trespass, looks marvelous as well! I'm undecided about the clone's winter gear, I think it should have been more like the Galactic Marines' in Ep. III: Quote
Scouty Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 I agree with you there, Mrs. Mandy Lori Anne, these episodes get better and better. This latest one was marvelous. Quote
Captain REX Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 your lucky. I still have to wait 1 hour to watch it. The suspense is driving me mad! Quote
Lord Santos Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 We european are very unlucky we can only see them on Youtube with low quality , does anyone know how to see them free and in good quality??? Quote
SkyOtic Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 (edited) on 13/02/09 we'll get the episodes on Cartoon network. or you have to do it ~illegal~ Edited January 24, 2009 by SkyOtic Quote
DarthSion Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Back to the topic, it wasn't a bad episode, not as good as last weeks, it was funny the little things tying up all the droids then pulling them down. I really like how they are showing the different sides to clones, showing them as humans rather than the robotic drones you see in the movies. Quote
Matteo Kenobi Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Well overall I was really pleased with "Peace Keepers" It was honestly pretty good, my only problem was how easy Anakin plowed through the crowd in seconds to destroy the weapon, just seemed a bit easy for me. But I agree the premise of the episode was great, the next one looks good to! Quote
pr0visorak Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 X-D SBD's can't fly. Those were Rocket Droids! And by the way, look up Rocket Droids on Wookiepedia. Thanks for the info! I just saw defenders of peace! I loved the new weapon, a pity it was destroyed though... How did they build a fotress so fast around the cruiser? Quote
DarthSion Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Yeah i had wondered that myself, i guess some of it is prefabricated, and they are droids. Quote
Captain REX Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 I reckon they had some sort of carrier drop the fortress on the ground. Quote
Corvus Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Definately prefab. The CW design really shrinks the size of those Trade Federation dropships, but they can carry a lot. Quote
Oky Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 (edited) I watched "Defenders of Peace" last night. It was alright, with some nice things going on in it, but nothing special IMHO. For example, it was cool to watch the Jedi slice and dice wave after wave of droids down. However, there were some bad things too. For example, it was kinda weird how Takei voiced Fat Turd Lok Durd. Somehow I expected something else. Also, the fact that Venators appeared in the atmosphere at the end suggests that the Republic won the Battle of Quell, so that's two wins for the Republic in one episode and none for the Separatists! Btw, have I ever mentioned that I saw a special sneak preview of one of the episodes from around the end of season 1? They showed it at an animation convention in August. The episode was still a WIP back then, so it didn't have any rendering. It was a scene that showed Anakin and Obi Wan visiting the icy planet Alzoc III to discuss war matters with a tribe of Talz. At least that's what I think it was. Anyway, it seemed to be an interesting episode! Well, turns out that sneak peek was from the upcoming episode "Trespass". I'm not a big fan of ice planets, but this episode looks good for some reason, and I'm looking forward to it! Although I'd love to see some Galactic Marines too, I am quite fine with the new kind of (Clone) Snowtrooper. Edited January 27, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
darkrebellion Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Well I just finish of see "Defenders of Peace" and I need to admit that I like it . Sure the episode isn´t as good as it´s predecessor "Jedi Crash" but I think that mainly cause this episode is more of an add-on to the previous episode so the story isn´t that good as an stand-alone episode but if you put together both episodes you get a really good "combo" . I really like how the Lurmen mantien thier philosophy until the the very end proof that they have a very strong culture . Also I absolutely love this new ground battle , is the biggest battle I have seen in the show since "Ambush" and The Battle of Christophsis . I really like the way the Jedis, Rex and Cody defended the Lurmen even against their choose. That been a good leader and that show how the Jedis are really the defenders of peace of the galaxy. Also I think Lok Durd is a cool addition to the SW universe and also a great weapon designer. Just look at that amazing new Separatist weapon1 That for sure one of the best Sep. weapons to date and is a really cool one . I think the base scene is good but nothing special. But maybe my favorite scene even if it last like 4 seconds is the final dialogue sequence. The way the Lurmen told his son at which price they must thanks the Republic and then that Venator fleet appear from the clouds of Maridun is just so climatic , I love it . At the end a really good episode and something that shows that this show keep better and better . Also I saw the episode previw for "Tresspass" and I need to said is the episode that get me most excited to date . Just looking at the story and that awesome preview it looks like one of the best episodes so far if not the best one (Also I really like the icy planets ). Quote
THE-FORCE Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Watched them all on YouTube, our Cartoon Network will not put it on TV. I thought, really thought, Excellent!!! Especially Ambush, Rookies and Liar of Greivous! Brillant humour and big action. Greets, The Force! Quote
JimBee Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 And when did it ever happen that 200 Jedi defeated a 10,000+ CIS army on their own (meaning without help from clone troopers) and with no lightsabers? Attack of the Clones? Even though they lost, they actually put up a fight with a huge army rather than one powerful Sith fighting a few dozen pirates. In the episode commentary of the episode (forgot the name), Filoni pointed out that the Senator that died in the shuttle crash had a staff similar to the Staff of Ra from RotLA. Another Indy-SW crossover. Quote
Oky Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 (edited) Attack of the Clones? Even though they lost, they actually put up a fight with a huge army rather than one powerful Sith fighting a few dozen pirates. You mean the Battle of Geonosis? You can't compare that at all! They all had lightsabers, and at the end, they had the help of a whole army of clones! In the end, they won, yes, but it was a pyrrhic victory. Besides, that was a battle! Anakin & Obi Wan never wanted to fight the pirates, just escape from them, and being Jedi (good guys), they couldn't kill the pirates in order to do so. Dooku might have been able to fight the pirates mentally (he is a Sith/bad guy) and physically (with force lightning, force choke, etc.), but Anakin & Obi wouldn't have let him, which means that he would have had to kill them first. But he didn't want to do that since he would have had to "carry their bodies". Also, there were much more than just "a dozen" of pirates, so (as Filoni said) even if Dooku would have fought them, the risk of him getting harmed was quite high. On a personal note: I don't think Dooku is all that powerful. In fact, he is the weakest Sith I know. I have never seen him win a fair fight. Also, did anyone notice that a single blaster shot was enough to cut the energy rope that tied them together? That means that they could have easily taken one of the pirates' blasters and freed themselves. Oh well, no matter how you turn it, these two episodes didn't make sense, so let's try to forget about them and just hope that there wont be any more illogical episodes like that. In the episode commentary of the episode (forgot the name), Filoni pointed out that the Senator that died in the shuttle crash had a staff similar to the Staff of Ra from RotLA. Another Indy-SW crossover. Old news, Jim. But yeah, it was, and the Ark will be next, so look out for it! Edited January 29, 2009 by Oky Wan Kenobi Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 My only, and I mean ONLY, gripe with the episode was how they dodged the searchlights, and still used their lightsabers. Yeah, that struck me as sloppy too. Not like they're clouding the minds of the droids to not see saber light. Aaaaaaaah, ICE episode. Hope this means we can look forward to even more Hoth-like parts / sets from Lego. I think the Lemur Chief pooints of view are totally correct To each his own? Have fun with that. Oh, I'm stealing your tv set too. ... ... ...guess I'll take that wallet too. You're right, free stuff is AWESOME! ... ...and your computer. Quote
Oky Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Aaaaaaaah, ICE episode.Hope this means we can look forward to even more Hoth-like parts / sets from Lego. Or maybe the other way around. Maybe TLC is planning to use the new goggles from the upcoming Hoth BP on Obi & Annie in a future set from this episode! Would be great to get some Talz! Quote
Snake...SNAKE...SNAAAAKE?! Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 balls of fluff... that kill!!!!! Quote
Matteo Kenobi Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Wow I was surprised how good the new Clone Wars episode was. I was glad to see the Senate really being the heart of the episode, it seemed more real to me. Definitely very good! The action scenes were just as great as well, definitely goes down as one of my favorite episodes, my personal opinion Quote
Corvus Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Wow, that was a good episode. It actually had a very good center story, some arrogant chairman(?) who's really a jerk, pushing around this timid senator. Simply amazing. Did anyone read the web comic of it? Best one, I think. So sad. Though I do wonder how the Talz got past the giant doors in the base the first time. I'm kind of scared about the next one. A clone traitor? WTH? Clones aren't traitors. He'd better not have been offered credits or anything.... I mean, why would a clone betray his brothers? It's been stressed that clones can't be bribed or bought...maybe the death of one of his comrades made him change sides? Quote
