Oky Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Wow, that was a good episode. It actually had a very good center story I agree! For a single episode, it had the most story/conflict to date! That, and the surprisingly beautiful icy landscape make this an excellent episode! Also, it was very cool watching Rex save the chairman in his snow armor! Only thing that bugs me a little: Weren't Talz supposed to be from Alzoc III and not to be discovered until 15 BBY? Oh well, I guess that theory never made much sense anyway, seeing as there were Talz seen throughout the galaxy before that, like Foul Moudama or Muftak. I guess this is just Filoni ignoring the EU again. Maybe he'll think of an explanation later on; something like "To protect the Talz from any further harm, the Jedi destroyed every record of them." Did anyone read the web comic of it? Best one, I think. So sad. Yes, I did, of course, and I really liked it! Very nice artwork too! But I think that the poetic Dreams of Grievous is still the best and most sad one. I'm kind of scared about the next one. A clone traitor? WTH? Don't be scared. I'm pretty sure that it will turn out to be somebody completely else, someone you don't expect to be the traitor at all. I mean, isn't that how all those type of stories end? Quote
DarthSion Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Meh, average episode, the snow speeders were kool. Quote

Padme and Jar Jar are captured while searching for a secret Separatist bio-weapons lab, sparking Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka to try and save their friends and halt the release of a deadly virus. Episode 18: The Thousand Moons. The fatal Blue Shadow virus is released, infecting Ahsoka, Padme and many Clone Troopers - and giving Anakin and Obi-Wan just 48 hours to find the antidote on a mysterious planet from which no visitor has ever returned. Episode 19: Hostage Crisis. To free crimelord Ziro the Hutt, bounty hunters seize control of the Senate building and take hostages, completely unaware that Jedi knight Anakin Skywalker is still inside. Episode 20: Storm Over Ryloth. Ahsoka disobeys Anakin's orders and loses most of her squadron, prompting Anakin to help give his Padawan a lesson in respect for authority - and the opportunity for redemption. Episode 21: Innocents of Ryloth. To sabotage a powerful Separatist weapon, Obi-Wan and a small clone force enter an occupied town and discover that its residents are being used as a human shield. Episode 22: Liberty On Ryloth. With his forces stretched thin, Mace Windu must convince Twi'lek freedom fighter Cham Syndulla to help him save the capital city from the droids' destruction. Quote
Holy Diver Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I think you mean to say Twi'lek shield in the description for episode 21. Quote
Captain REX Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 where did you get that info from I like the idea of episodes 17 and 18. Finally an episode with Ahsoka and Padme in! sorry for the spoiler my tags arent working Quote
Oky Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Thanks for those descriptions, Simon! Some promising stuff in there! I totally can't wait for the Mace Windu episode! Looks like they're saving the best for last! I think you mean to say Twi'lek shield in the description for episode 21. Or at least humanoid shield. Meh, average episode, the snow speeders were kool. Yes, they were very "kool"! If TLC does decide to make a small set of this episode, they should include one of those speeders, a normal BARC speeder, a Talz warrior on a Narglatch (hopefully new molds, not just Boga in blue ), Anakin & Obi Wan in snow gear (using the new Hoth rebel goggles), the Chairman, maybe even the young Senator, and last but not least, Rex in snow armor! simonjedi Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 where did you get that info from TheForce.net I enjoyed todays episode, reminded me of ZULU I'm kind of scared about the next one. A clone traitor? WTH? apparently it's something to do with a clone from Kamino and Assaj Ventress was on Kamino during rookies, and is in the next episode. Quote
Captain REX Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 Well actually i looked on starwars.com and saw that Hidden enemy is set before the Clone wars movie Quote
simonjedi Posted January 31, 2009 Posted January 31, 2009 I think that Rookies, this week and next week's episodes are Pre-clone wars Movie episodes. Quote
isaacbrockthebuilder Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 I hope them Mandalorians make a Guest apearence Quote

It would be awesome to see a clawdite. apparently it's something to do with a clone from Kamino and Assaj Ventress was on Kamino during rookies, and is in the next episode. I'm still not sure how she'd manage to corrupt a clone- they're not stupid, and they're insanely loyal to the Republic. She'd have better luck getting at one of the defecting ARC troopers who are disgruntled with the Republic. I hope them Mandalorians make a Guest apearence As do I, as do I. Quote
Captain REX Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Actually im pretty sure that Rookies isn't pre-clone wars movie i mean they only mentioned about hidden enemy being pre-clone wars movie and i think they would avoid having to many of those episodes because for a little kid the story line could get jumbled up Quote
isaacbrockthebuilder Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 I'm hoping they are in a Venator when a mandalorian Cruiser opens fire at them. And then they boards the venator and they fight until they realise rex is a clone of jango because those mandalorians leader used to fight with jango. And theres this huge ploy on concord dawn with the cis building a parts to a weapon that supositly can destroy a whole planet. And there is a huge battle with the clone and the mandalorians and they kill the Cis general stationed there. and rex wants to stay with the mandalorians but they tell him to stay with the republic, and he does I love the mandalorians, there the vikings of star wars, only there New zealanders and they have gay woriors Quote
Captain REX Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 they realise rex is a clone of jango ummmm arent all clones in the clone wars clones of Jango? Quote

JimBee Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Wow, that was a good episode. I wholeheartedly agree. My personal favorite so far. This one not only had a great story and conflict, but the action, creatures, and vehicles were cool, especially those enclosed speeders (I'd like to see a MOC of it some time). The whole episode had an overall "conventional" vibe to it (espionage, small trooper groups). Quote
DarthSion Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 ummmm arent all clones in the clone wars clones of Jango? Yes Jango was the template used for the clones and some of the storm troopers, and Boba. Quote
Captain REX Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 yes i know that Darth Sion i was just outlining one of the points issac made Quote
isaacbrockthebuilder Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I mean he notices the way he fights, with the duel pisols and hand to hand. Quote
darkrebellion Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I just finish of see "Trespass" and I think is maybe my favorite episode . First, the episode starts with a good introduction and some really beautiful ice landscapes . Then there is the main conflict that "someone" attacked the Republic outpost and at this point I could confirm that the president isn´t the bad guy, a theory I made from the teaser, in fact anyone is the real "Bad guy" in my opinion. After that we saw that the CIS isn´t the one that kill all those clones and how the president gets very angry and his attitude was great (I know he is a "bad" guy but that dialogues really benefit the story in a good way ). Then we see the great negotiation scene with Obi Wan and Anakin with the Talz chief , I really like how they did their effort to comunicate with the Talz. The next scene of the great hostile negotiation was really intriguing and in my opinion of the the best of the episode , I really like how the Talz chief just leave the scene rather then hit the president or kill someone . After such a good scene I don´t think it could get any better until I discovered what was my favorite scene, the ambush ! Now that was a really good action scene. The way the Talz started to kill the clones and the president bodyguards and in a how awesome way Rex leaved his speeder bike . They built a little barrier until Rex manage to escape with the president. At the end the episode finish in a great way with the solution of the young senator . In my opinion this one goes in the category of the masterpieces (This also contain "Duel of the Droids", "Cloak of Darkness", "Lair of Grevious" and "Jedi Crash" in my opinion). The next episode looks good but nothing that surprise me at all and also the story sound a bit too much cliché . Quote
pr0visorak Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Cant wait for next week where they have a clone betrayer! I am actually shocked that it is some wat possible! Quote
