Oky Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 The "Virus" episodes were alright. I liked the second one much better than the first one somehow. The BDs with the smiles drawn onto their faces were funny. It was nice to see naboo again, it looks good animated Seconded! I hope we see some Naboo Fighter action at some point! jar jars voice actor has improved. That, I disagree with. I thought he sounded much more like Jar Jar in "The Gungan General". Still, part 1 of the stunning ryloth arc is on next week. What? Are you sure? We in the US wont get that episode for two weeks, and we are usually first in line for new episodes. And didn't Captain_Rex say that you in the UK will get "Mystery of a Thousand Moons" next week? Quote
Captain REX Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Yes its true i checked the SKY planner and mystery of a thousand moons doesn't come on till next week on SKy movies. Oh well at least according to Oky the USA has to wait 2 weeks for the Ryloth trilogy so we should catch up with you . The only thing that gets me is if the Ryloth trilogy is episodes 19, 20 and 21 Then whats the final episode 22? Quote
SkyOtic Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 At the end of the second ep from friday, there was a teaser "thing" which was like "bla, yoda is the man ( );bla, "Don't miss a special episode of star wars the clone wars next week!" Eh? someone got news on that "special ep"? Quote

It's just a rerun of the first episode of the show, "Ambush". Quote
DarthSion Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Robo-lobotomy, gold. Aww man, they changed it, a couple of weeks ago season 2 was showing on wiki as starting in April, now its showing as fall when ever that is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Star_...#Season_1:_2008 I wonder how come no episode next week, and why the double this week. I'm guessing 22 is a secret as there is no info on it, no doubt a cliffhanger. I just hope they do like the movie and we get quick blu-ray, they released the movie in the cinemas then out on dvd and blu-ray 4 months later. Now if someone will kick Lucas in the backside and give us the movies in Blu-ray, because they are awesome in HD. Quote

Jlblue Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 What was with that weird German doctor? He was so incredibly stereotyped it sort of hurt. No clue why they keep him alive for potential future episodes but they don't for Argyus. Come on, he rocked. Jar Jar was Jar Jar... Didn't laugh a single bit at him, but I couldn't help but laugh at the kid screaming "flying Xandu!" and the hologram they later showed of a Rodian spontaneously combusting. Overall, I think that that was a weaker arc. Quote

Exactly my thoughts.... ) The only thing I'would like to add, gentlemen, is that I find it quite puzzling that they create so many new characters, obviously giving a hint of their return. (Loathsome, Lok Durd , that crazed doctor....) I am quite glad that we have them, but all of them are created in such a brilliant way that I fear we won't see full development of the characters and won't be able to see them in all their glory! ) Good day, gentlemen! ) Quote
djmangunz Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Both of Friday's episodes were a bit rushed and poorly written. Don't get me wrong, I love the clone wars, I just wasn't feeling those two episodes. I suspect that the final episode, number 22, will revolve around Palpy and the death star plans. Lego sets often foreshadow unreleased information in the star wars universe and the Venator set has Dr. Evil in said set, with the death star plans. Quote
Oky Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 (edited) You know what really kinda bugged me about the Virus episode? All the Jedi were jumping around trying to catch the test tubes (or whatever) that the doctor was dropping while he almost got away, but none of them thought about force-catching them in mid-air! If Mace Windu would have been there, things would have gone much differently... Aww man, they changed it, a couple of weeks ago season 2 was showing on wiki as starting in April, now its showing as fall when ever that is.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Star_...#Season_1:_2008 Damn. Oh well, good thing those wiki-sites aren't reliable when it comes to future releases of things. I wonder how come no episode next week, and why the double this week. It's one of the mysteries of the universe that we will probably never understand. Now if someone will kick Lucas in the backside and give us the movies in Blu-ray, because they are awesome in HD. Yeah, seriously! I don't understand why they're taking their sweet time with that! I mean, c'mon, Lucas, that's an automatic win right there! Big money! You like money, don't you? I liked Rex's quote at the end of The Thousand Moon Mystery when Obi-Wan mentions that Jar-Jar needs some training with a blaster- "I'm not training him." Yeah, Rex rulez! djmangunz Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Has anyone seen the republic dropship or ATOT in the CW?jifel It's rumored to be featured in the Ryloth trilogy. Someone mentioned that you can see it in the Ryloth trilogy preview video at StarWars.com. I didn't see it, but I'm not that observant. Quote
DarthSion Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Curious, i haven't seen the Evil Doctor in venator set. Its annoying when they do that, have a week on and then off, the last half of sga was bad for that. My guess is they royalties, I'm sure before making the movie on blu-ray they will have to sort out royalties, like ford needs any money, but the fact he did Indi 4 shows he must be desperate for money, no doubt for that ugly anorexic he with. The AT-OT has already been shown, it was in RotS. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/AT-OT Quote
Oky Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Curious, i haven't seen the Evil Doctor in venator set. "Dr. Evil" was a nickname for Palpatine, silly. The AT-OT has already been shown, it was in RotS.http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/AT-OT Yes, we know, DarthSmartypants. The question was if it was seen in the TV show. And no, it hasn't. Not yet. Quote
jifel Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 thanks. Im gona go watch the Ryloth trailer again. jifel Quote
DarthSion Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Who the heck called him doctor evil. Quote
jifel Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 I can now say I have not seen the ATOT in the ryloth trilogy trailer, although their is a column of ATTEs that could be mistaken, but no ATOT as far as i have seen. If anyone has seen it, please tell where. jifel Quote
vulture droid Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 (edited) While the Blue Shadow Virus arc wasn't the huge story cartoon network said it would be, it had some good parts- -The crazy doctor reminded me of what i've read about crazy nazi doctors during WWII, the first truly creepy character of the show -All the parts in the bunker after the virus was released -Little homage to TPM (angels) -The way the gunships get Obi-wan, Anakin, and the clones into the base. JimBee Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I saw "The Hidden Enemy", and it was definitely one of the better episodes. The "mystery traitor" was revealed pretty quickly, so there wasn't much suspense (I suppose that's the result of a <30 minute show). The Cody-Rex action was good, too. However, the Obi-Assaj bickering is getting annoying. I wonder when Grievous will make another appearance? I also saw the "Ryloth Trilogy" trailer, and I'm glad to finally see some Mace Windu action in the show. Quote
Darth Skinyus Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I really like the series. My favorite Episode is 'Hidden Enemy.' I love how they were able to tie that to the movie so well. I hope that they have more Clone Episodes I also can't wait until Ryloth. Does any one know anything about the new Yoda Episode? Quote

Just building the suspense for the sweet, sweet Ryloth trilogy. Quote
TLV Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 For those who have not watch the latest episode, I might be posting a little spoilers, just to warn you guys. I love the clone wars series, but I found the recent episode a little lame. How does captain typho, who is neither a scientist or a medical professional, find a cure for the blue shadow virus so easily? And so coincidentally, the cure is some root located deep in seperatist territory, at the bottom of some dangerous ravine or something. The writers of the series need to make a little more sense. Well, it popped up that the virus has been eradicated before, indicating that this cure must have been found before. Maybe Typho just Googled it. Quote
