TLV Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 According to wookiepedia, "The virus was notorious for being able to affect every species in the galaxy and having no known cure" So basically all the brilliant minds in the entire star wars universe could not find a cure for one deadly virus that threatened the lives of every sentient being in the universe, except for one naboo captain by the name of typho. Oh well I am a little too harsh on the series, but I guess thats what happens when you've studied biology in college and know all about how notoriously difficult it is to eradicate a virus and you don't just find cures overnight. I know the series is targeted at younger audiences but its really laughable from an adult's point of view. It just doesn't make sense from a logical point of view, not to mention from a medical viewpoint. I still watch the series though, the action scenes are great and I can't wait for the upcoming ryloth trilogy. Hope that would inspire lego to produce some twi'leks and hopefully aalya. On a side note, did anyone notice that the planet where the reeksa root is found is called Iego, which looks really similar to the word lego? Quote
DarthSion Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Well it was eradicated, and after all, its a kids tv show, they don't care. Quote

Oky Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Argh, today's episode was "Ambush", the first Clone Wars episode. Congratulations on noticing! If you would have checked a few posts above yours, you would have seen that we knew this for a long time now. Only one more week 'til the first episode of the Ryloth trilogy and the premiere debut of Ahsoka's starfighter! I'm so excited! Btw, the webcomic for Blue Shadow Virus is finally up. They are really falling behind with these! Quote
ILikePi Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Oh, whoops. I just decided that those old posts were all about last week's shows. I was already expecting it to be either the first episode or a new one with Yoda in it, because of that commercial saying, "YODA...IS....THE...MAN". Quote

Oky Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 What they have not shown episode 19?!? Why? The first Ryloth episode, "Storm over Ryloth", is episode 19. The Question is: What is episode 22? All we know about it is that it will air on March 20. Could it be that the Ryloth story is in fact 4 episodes long, not 3? I mean, was it ever confirmed that it is a trilogy? If it was, I guess that it's a final short story to end the season, perhaps even with a cliffhanger. Btw, click here to get some information on the second season and on how well the show is doing! Unfortunately, Season 2 is scheduled to start in fall! Quote
JimBee Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Yes, the Ryloth episodes are a trilogy. You can see the preview for the whole thing here. Also by clicking that, you will notice that you can watch all of the episodes online. Just click the blue arrows on the video menu under the "Clone Wars" tab. I don't know why any of you could only see two of the latest full episodes... Quote
simonjedi Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 After the 1000 moons finshed, i checked on my sky box for the next episode, and according to the description its "Terrorists take over the senate building, to free Ziro the Hutt, not knowing that Anakin is in the building" which is essentially Die Hard, so i wonder if us Uk'ers get an episode 4 weeks before everyone else, or they haven't changed it to reflect the changes yet. Corvus Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Why Anakin? If we want to see a Die Hard version of SW, we need Windu to do it. Quote

Ah yes, I remember reading that episode description somewhere before. Maybe you're right that this is the mysterious 22nd episode. Would be strange if you would get that before the Ryloth episodes. But I guess it would make more sense since Ryloth is supposed to be the season finale. Why Anakin? If we want to see a Die Hard version of SW, we need Windu to do it. Only if it's a version of Die Hard With a Vengeance! Quote
The Penguin Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 "Terrorists take over the senate building, to free Ziro the Hutt, not knowing that Anakin is in the building" Sounds really good, gentlemen! )))) I loved Ziro as a character, and I hope we'll see him in some action. ) Not like Loathsome, when he has not been given even a single phrase.... Still, after watching the previw of Storm, I may say I still don't like the new CIS general much.... But, I guess, we'll need to watch the episode first....I'm sure Lok Durd would have been much more welcome there! ) Good day, gentlemen! ) Quote

Just found this out and was about to post but you beat me to the punch . Yes i think this is odd perhaps it means that USA are getting this as episode 22. But that order would be strange for USA then as you would expect them to end on a 2 or 3 parter episode . And I don't see what's so cool about it. Yes, it kinda sounds like "Lego", but it's not. If there was a planet that is actually called Lego, now that would be cool! darkrebellion Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 (edited) Well in my country the episodes "Blue Shadow Virus" and "Mystery of a Thousand Moons" were aired in the common way unlike the US so I just finished of seeing the second one today . These episodes are perfectly what I define as an OK episode, not bad but not great . To start I will comment in the first episode. I need to said I finished very dissapointed by this episode ("Blue Shadow Virus") . When I heard about this episode some months or even weeks ago I was very excited cause at least the title sound promising but when I saw it I ended sad . First the episode starts welllike any episode but the wrong things started from the "Droid Inspection scene". I know Dave and Henry like Jar Jar like a character and that they feel like he doesn´t received what he desrved in the PT but they just continue not giving him a serious moment . I still can´t understand why Padme go everywhere with him as a partner if he just ruin everything he touches. After recovering myself from this scene I was expecting some good dialogues and investigation scenes they introduce to the SW universe his most annoying character and she was that pink Gungan . I am not exaggerating, she IS the most annoying character I have seen. I simply can´t think they can insult more to the Gungan specie but they COULD. Now the Gungan specie is oficially the most annoying specie in the galaxy in my opinion. Then that annoying Scientist character . Well I still can´t understand why the Separatists characters in the CW must have such a low intelligence . I am a CIS lover myself and personally I want that this generals get more serious roles. The other part of the episode was really uninspiring so I can´t comment a lot here just agree with Oky Wan Kenobi on why the Jedi don´t catched the virus samples using the force? Strange issue that just makes this episode worse than I think it would be . The second episode was A LOT better in my opinion but mainly due to the awesome "Easter Eggs" Dave and all the CW team decide to include. The start was entertaining but not something I could be really excited with, just correct . Then the bizarre bits started to begin . The planet at first look was well designed and I like the "ship graveyard" detail. Then that child character was introduced. In my opinion not so great but still not as annoying as the pink Gungan from the previous episode. That character somehow remains me the young Anakin we saw in TPM but in another palnet with similar situations (After all he is somehow a slave because of that CIS laser defense system). The way Obi Wan and Anakin got the plants for the cure is somewhat disspointing cause the CW team didn´t make so much of an effort to do some good action sequence with does Eating Plants. . Then came the best "Easter Egg" of the episode... the "Angels" specie. I still remember the scene in the TPM when Anakin told Padme she was as beautiful as that "Angels" that some pilots see when they arrive to the planet of this episode. A really creative way to explain us how they look in "real" life . The CIS defense system scenes where cool and the way they destoyed the main generator was well think . Overall a better episode than its predeccesor . Overall good episodes (One better than the other) and with a really anticipated one the next week . Edited February 24, 2009 by darkrebellion Quote

If there was a planet that is actually called Lego, now that would be cool! But there isn't, and probably never will be. Do you have anything good to add to this discussion? Play nice. Yah, once I heard them refer to it as Iego (which looks like leet for Lego... and I'd say quite possibly that's NOT by coincidence) I thought back to Star Wars episode 1, where bad-acting little Anakin was asking Padme if she was an angel from the moon of Iego... I was like, "Iego? Oh man, they HAVE to throw an angel in here!" And they did lol. Good stuff. : p Since I get these episode by downloading, I'm kinda' confused what episode's what. I'd swear I dl'ed "Blue Shadow Virus" and "Mystery of a Thousand Moons" on the same day... to find there was no episode this past week. Most confusing... but now there's a "secret" episode or something? Bah, I'll have to figure this out... lol. Back to this "Lego" "Iego" thing... look at that. When I did a search (because I always thought it was Lego, humorously spelled with a silent L) ... i kept seeing Iego all over the place. So I'm curious... When did Lucasfilm and Star Wars merge their similar interests together and when did "Iego" first come into being? Because really, just LOOK at it lol. In the font my Google displays, it REALLY looks like lego. Quote

Visually appealing Grievous? ) Not to mention his extraordinary skills, that allowed him to kill one padawan? Or those skills that let him waste one of the greatest ships in CIS? ) A tactical droid did a better jod on Quell. ) Don't take it personally, it's just my hatred towards that Grievous. ) Wel, Lok Durd may not be very pretty (as if neimoidians can! ) But he's definitely not a stereotypical villain in SW. No stupid punchlines, no *mysterious* face under the hood, no special powers. ) I also don't find the new general visually appealing.... But still, I guess that's not the nost important thing for a general, is it? ) The war is won not by the skills of blade swinging, but by tactical thinking.... Unfortunately, most CIS leaders obviously, lack it. ) I am a CIS lover myself and personally I want that this generals get more serious roles. Exactly my thoughts! ) Good day, gentlemen! ) Quote
Oky Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I was not aware that others were aware of this. We watch this show too, you know. All of us have seen Mystery of a Thousand Moons just like you, and in that episode, they said the name of the planet a whole bunch of times. So why would we not be aware of this. Sheeesh! Play nice. I guess I overreacted a little. Sorry about that. I always thought it was Lego, humorously spelled with a silent L I think it is rather supposed to be the name Diego without the D. LOOK at it lol. In the font my Google displays, it REALLY looks like lego. Admittedly, that's true. LOL. Visually appealing Grievous? ) Yes, as in more menacing. Not to mention his extraordinary skills, that allowed him to kill one padawan? If you're referring to Naddar Veb (or however he's spelled), he was a Jedi Knight. And GG has slain many, many more Jedi, including masters. You would know that if you have watched the superior CW cartoon, Star Wars: Clone Wars. Not to mention all the things he has done in EU. Or those skills that let him waste one of the greatest ships in CIS? I doubt your beloved Lok Durd would have done any better job, considering he couldn't even take over a planet that is inhabited by a bunch of pacifistic lemurs and was only protected by a Jedi, a padawan, and an injured Jedi. But let's not get into a fight here. You have your favorite CIS general, I have mine. Period. I also don't find the new general visually appealing.... That, I agree with. But as you said, no Neimodian can be. This one looks (and even kinda sounds) like a turtle. Let's hope he'll have the skills to make up for that. Otherwise, he'll be the most useless CIS general ever! Quote
The Penguin Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 But let's not get into a fight here. You have your favorite CIS general, I have mine. Period. It reminded me for some reason: - Some fight in you, I like that. - Then you're gonna love me! *punch* Joker and Batman in TDK. Sure! ) Just exchange of ideas. ) That, I agree with. But as you said, no Neimodian can be. This one looks (and even kinda sounds) like a turtle. Let's hope he'll have the skills to make up for that. Otherwise, he'll be the most useless CIS general ever! Another good point! ) Exactly like a turtle! ) Anyway, I may like him or not.
