Perhaps by cliffhangar, several senators (Padme) are killed or captured, and part of the bounty hunter group escape with their prisoners.

Exactly what i was thinking, that is all that is known, not if any other BH live or die, if they try to use Ziro to get Cad free or what.

Either way it will be a 2 part story arc.

Off topic, i dont know about elsewhere but Ebay Au has had several Mace mini figures added since the last episode aired.

Very "kool" indeed! :sweet: But except for the neck-snapping, there isn't much anything new. :sceptic: This better not be the only good scenes of the episode again. :hmpf_bad:

Btw, I had another idea of who the villain in "Jedi Hunter" could be: Aurra Sing! :sweet: Would be cool IMO!

Well its Wednesday again (for me anyway) and you know what that means.

Meet Cad Bane.

Impressive, looks very kool.

Quite awesome. I like his voice- some characters leave me groaning with their voices (like Anakin) but Bane sounds like quite the cool villain. Can't wait!

The only way they could make this better would be to add some Mandalorian mercenaries.

And they'd better not kill off Aurra Sing. :sceptic:

Cad Bane is certainly impressive, and i really wish he would own anakin. Oh well, he probably wont.

Still, I hope they have Senate commandos do something... Maybe in a mission to save a captured Senator, but all we have seen is them go bad, get backstabbed, necksnapped, shot in the back while running, and blown up by a grenade.

Quite dissapointing.

Agreed- There's five of them, and they don't do anything. They run. I really don't get why they're called "commandos" if they're going to be that pathetic. :sceptic:

Watching the preview again, I think I saw Palpatine among the hostages. Why then, is only Anakin there to rescue them? It seems to me that this situation would warrant the use of at least one squad of Commandos and an ARC trooper... At the very least, I'd like to see CSF (Coruscant Security Force) to make an appearance.

I look forward to Saturday when all the nay sayers pop up saying it was awesome.

I consider myself a naysayer, and I feel that I have been very critical of the series; but after seeing the short video a couple posts back, I no longer have a bad feeling about this episode, I can't wait untill friday!

Well, everone panicks in tough situations, but that is a little overboard. Palpy isnt there, and I assume auto defenses are locking down the building, and Cad Bane will kill the hostages if someone comes.

I know right, like Hay mon you want some weed mon kit fisto.

I cant believe after waiting so long to see him they went rasta with him.

I wish they would do something with Boba, sure he is a boy but he must learn to be a BH from someone.

Woah, theres an episode on Mustafar! Great, I love that planet!

Who doesn't! I like the story of that ep too! Can't wait!

Exactly. That's why it's called a "Hostage Crisis". Wasn't that obvious?

Btw, the webcomic for this episode is up. And it's awesome! Let's hope the episode will be as good or even better! :sweet:

I know right, like Hay mon you want some weed mon kit fisto.

Ya mon! Mae da force be with us, mon!

Alright, enough with the stereotypes.

I like Phil LaMarr as a voice actor, so I'm quite OK with Fisto. :classic:

And as I have mentioned earlier, I, too, really like Bane's voice!

I wish they would do something with Boba, sure he is a boy but he must learn to be a BH from someone.

Are you suggesting that there should/could be an episode or two where Sing trains Boba? Not exactly the show's style, but I sure wouldn't mind it. :classic:

PS: I'm not a nay-sayer. I'm just being skeptical for two reasons:

- The last few episode previews that got me excited turned out to consist of the best scenes of the episode, leaving me somewhat disappointed after watching it. :sceptic:

- The last time CN made so much commotion over a CW TV-event, it turned out to be the two worst episodes of the season. :hmpf_bad:

But either way, I'm sure this will be a good episode.

Is it me or the second season is more bounty hunters orientated, than actually CIS/Republic struggles? )

By the look of that new episode list it seems like this new second season has more mature episodes than the first one :cry_happy: , something I really think will benefit the series. I am especially looking foward to "Cargo of Doom" because of this points:

- It features Oppo Ranciss

- The story sounds great

- It takes place in Mustafar

- Cad Bane is awesome

This episode has a lot of potential I just hope they don´t ruin it like some episodes of the first season  .

I have hopes for the finale. Not high hopes, but I think it will at least be decent.

In general, the show disappoints me in a few ways. I am sure the battle droid issues have been brought up numerous times, but does anyone really see how they could be a serious threat to anyone with half a brain? Everytime we get a compotent CIS commander, they are gone in an episode or two. I think they should promote that droid that left Wat Tambor behind. ANother problem I have is the CGI/anime hybrid (which I am sure has also been mentioned before). Here it's not so much the series itself that I see as the problem, but TLG's attempts to replicate that look.

I also have at least one episcode specific problem. The pacifists in Jedi Crash. The elder's speech about just talking to the CIS sounds great. Of course it should hit you real quick that that idea is impossible. One man controls both sides so totally that anything like that will never happen. It's a bogus message because it is impossible to impliment and if you watched the movies (which I assume the overwhelming majority of people watching the cartoon have watched the movies) then you know that. The Ryloth episodes were better because they showed the ramifications of war instead of trying to preach about it.

In line with that thought, they shouldn't show the clones as nearly unstoppable compared to the droids and then just off handedly mention that X number of clones died. Show the droids actually doing something threatening and actually killing the clones (I know they have in the past) through something beyond mass of numbers. Also, some deaths of random Jedi would really help establish the CIS threat. Or possibly have a few randoms fall to the dark side (or use the few that did in the EU storylines) to show how dangerous it is to have the Jedi fighting like this.

Well, simple- there are a lot of them, and they don't need a brain to shoot at something. Still, they ought to be more menacing, and they really need to show how dangerous they are when there are so many.

Agreed. Besides, how do you talk to someone as sadistic as a CIS General that shows up intending to use the village as guinea pigs to see how well his new toy weapon works? Pacifism would never work against people like him.

I'd like to see a Jedi turn bad. What a great episode that would be!

Again, like I said, there need to be a lot of droids, which simply hasn't happened yet. :sceptic:

Yeah I guess maybe that's my problem with it. As presented there would have to tremendous numbers of them to win, and there rarely are. When they are shown in massive numbers, Yoda (or whichever supercharged Jedi it is this week) is also there and takes them out without breaking a sweat. A compotent CIS commander (so far, those droid commanders like the one that abandoned Tambor seem to be the only ones worth anything) should be able to use an army as diverse as the CIS army. Using the masses (which should be Super Battle Droids, if anything) to drive whoever they are after into a trap set with Destroyer Droids and Commando Droids should work.

If nothing else, drive them towards an area and then blast it from orbit. In fact, have they been using the "just blast everything from orbit" plan at all? If the EU is to be believed, the turbolasers on those battleships should be able to destroy all kinds of things on the ground (basically anything that isn't shielded). Personally, I can live with a handful of victories just to show that they can win so the war is believeable.

Going with the rest of the EU, there are some Jedi who turned evil. I know there is Sora Bulq (a Weequay I think), but I am not sure when he turned.

Yeah I knew the Empire did it a lot. I have at least one book where the Republic does flatten some command bunker from orbit (I think it's the Cestus Deception) and Mace Windu threatens to do it in Shatterpoint if I recall correctly. As for the Death Star, the supposed EU reason is 2 fold. The first reason is that planetary shields can't stop it. Nothing can stop it once it fires (and of course most people would see it and believe there is no way to stop it from firing). The other reason is as a terror weapon. A Star Destroyer can level the surface and turn it to beaded glass, but it takes time and the planet is still there. The Death Star instantly obliterates the entire planet. As wasteful as that is, the psychological effect was the main drive behind using it. Kind of like nukes. Once people know what kind of devastation they face messing with the guy with the bigger stick (in this case, total), they tend to fall in line. Of course sometimes a buch of teenagers fly in and screw up the whole plan and make believe they can take down the guy with the bigger stick. No plan's perfect.

That would make for a nice episode. I don't even hate Ahsoka, as a character. My dislike of her is because I have no idea how they are going to explian her never being mentioned and it seems to (at the moment at least, I am willing to see how it pans out) screw with continuity.

I think he was stereotyping an episode. Ahsoka is on borrowed time and I hope she goes away forever.

Actually, that was Republic Commando: Hard Contact. I haven't read Cestus Deception in a while, though, so maybe it happened there...

Anyway, did anyone see the web comic? It was interesting... it involved some guy with really nice Mandalorian guantlets that Cad Bane lured into a trap. I've determined that he's not Mandalorian for a few reasons:

-Even though he has the guantlets, he doesn't have a helmet. Or the rest of the armor.

-He lacked awesomeness...
