WesternOutlaw Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 The Brothers Brick shares images of the new exclusive 2009 Lego 10193 Medieval Market. What an AWESOME set! It appears that the information regarding this set was announced during the opening remarks of BrickCon 2008. As the images appear to be for Brothers Brick, Classic-Castle.com, and Klocki, I have not posted, but check out the BLOG with images and discuss it here.

VBBN Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Almost everything in this set looks outstanding. ZFor once, I think Lego is actualy going to exceed the drarves mine!
WesternOutlaw Posted October 4, 2008 Author Posted October 4, 2008 I am so impressed with this set! Lego listened to AFOL who wanted something like this for a long time. I want to break out every one of my Castle sets in preparation for this set. The price is terrific. Just a few weeks ago, I was aksing the question? Classic Castle Towns: What Ever Happened to the Town/Castle Combination? I suppose this set is the answer.
Lt. Veers Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 My heart just skipped a beat. Dang, let's see what we got: Loads of food parts, Crownie Civilians, Brown Cows, Insanely well built buildings, plenty of other things, and it's all for only $100? My wallet is going to be very happy next year.
Lego12 Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 (edited) That thing is AWESOME!!! I LOVE it! I have to get it! It's coming out in January 09', my birthday's in January! Hoorah! It looks expensive....somewhere around $100-$150. It looks great! Thanks VBBN for letting me know about this thread! Thanks Brickster for giving us this info and pictures! I am starting to cry.... I didn't thought of that! That means I sure know what to get for my 16th birtday: one of the greatest sets ever!
meschepers Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Oh my. This, I think, is a very good thing. I may have to buy this. It looks very good.
WesternOutlaw Posted October 4, 2008 Author Posted October 4, 2008 This set is an outstanding example of Lego's ability to create a non-licensed adventure set and theme that both AFOL and the kiddies can appreciate. The set is generic enough to fit in with a more modern town or as a focal point of any Medieval village MOC. Adding a few dwarves and more Crownies, and an attack by the opposing Castle factions, you can also create some great battle scenes. The set also has that "Classic Town" charm about it plus the detail of new Lego. I can't wait to create a scene with this set.
Zorro Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 AMAZING ! But I fear the price will be amazing as well I think I will buy it anyway, after I've purchased the new pirates/soldiers that is, and if I have enough money by then... I agree lego can make non-licensed Adventure sets on it own.

metalandi Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 (edited) Btw., have you noticed? Dk. brown barrels! I think this also is something new. I have posted some prices in the new sets thread, but i don't know hoe much you can trust that. Anyway, here they are once more: * Australia: $149.99 * Canada: $149.99 * United Kingdom: 84.99 * United States: $99.99 The only thing that's strange is, why are there no prices in €? Those would be rather fair prices i think, combine with for example the new custom cars garage which costs much more than 100 dollars and you get, well...not really amazing stuff with it. Guss Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 I really need it, it seems to be a really awesome set
BillytheKid Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Looks good. Lego is back again with GREAT sets. YIPPIE.....
Adam Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Hasn't this already been discussed in the 2008/2009 rumor thread? Though I, too, am glad of its low price- and for over 1,600 pieces!
metalandi Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Yes it has, but i think i'm not the only one who thinks this does deserve its own thread
brickzone Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Ogling over the photos. I think Lego may be getting more custom from some of the rest of my family as well as myself. Much oohing and ahhing. FOUR new mediaeval torsos (incl maiden from Advent Cal) - an awesome looking blacksmith and new peasant woman as well. A WHOLE turkey! Convincing cattle, fine fishies, fiery flames. Loads of dark green foliage on the best Lego set tree yet. Detailed and quaint hinged buildings, medium blue, loads of brown, even details like railing on the top of the outdoor stairs. Sextants for torch holders, dark brown telescopes for architecture detail! Detailed features like the water wheel, fireplaces, interior furnishings. Well - I guess keeping money in the bank isn't so great during these times anyways. May as well invest it in Lego :) With Pirates, presumably elves, and who knows what else, I'll be doing my bit to keep TLG going :)
ProducePrincess Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 this has to be a joke right because its way to good to be true, need money will shovel driveway, so whats the canadian price
The Cobra Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 The only thing that's strange is, why are there no prices in €? US $99.99; ¤99.99, CA $149.99, AU $149.99, UK £84.99 I think that ¤ should be read as Euro. As for the set: outstanding.
hewkii9 Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Yep, 'tis $150 CAD. Bit unfair, when you look at the US price. But still worth every penny :D
dj2005 Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 I think that ¤ should be read as Euro.As for the set: outstanding. Probably true as this is in the Klocki article: "This set, like other ‘Exclusives’, will be available at Shop@Home in January 2009. Price of the set will be €99.99 (Euroland), £84.99 (UK), $99.99 (USA), $149.99 (Canda) $149.99 (Australia), 379,95 zl (Poland) , what is really reasonable amount of money for this excellent product."
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 That is one beautiful set! With the Star Wars, the Pirates, the Castle and the Town sets coming out, I won't know which to pick! Better start saving......
JimBee Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Wow, this is fantastic! The whole thing is gigantic, and with all the cows, peasants, and other details, I really want this one. The price isn't too bad, either...
chris_austin Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Wow, this is fantastic! The whole thing is gigantic, and with all the cows, peasants, and other details, I really want this one. The price isn't too bad, either... This looks absolutely amazing and I can't believe that LEGO has gone and produced something like this. It really shows that they are listening - or just noticing what sells I'm going to order this as soon as it becomes available, just incase it goes up in price like the Death Star. I'm actually going to save up a little fund specifically for this awesome set. I haven't had a close look at the pictures because I don't want to ruin all the surprises.
