KimT Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 It would be nice if Lego had this for sale in time for Christmas. Agreed. But it looks like they're keeping it until January. Perhaps they know that AFOLs will buy this whenever it's released and thus it's better getting the wifes (or husbands) to get them other sets for x-mas. That makes 2 sets sold instead of one. I can't wait for this set and I'd hoped that I could persuade my mother-in-law to get it for me as an x-mas present. I guess that's not going to happen now. Quote
Admiral Blockbeard Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Why not just ask for it as a belated Christmas present? That is what I Have done. Can not wait to have it in my hands? Regards, Cpt. PB Quote
Thee Pirate Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 What can I say is the most funny thing - two brown carrots used as a shit in a horse stables (official instructions show it) That's pretty awesome.. in the Indy sets they use brown carrots as torches Quote
KimT Posted December 4, 2008 Posted December 4, 2008 I'd rather not own a horse that craps carrot shaped dung. That's not right, not even if the horse is LEGO. Quote
hewkii9 Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 I'd rather not own a horse that craps carrot shaped dung. Why? I'm no horse expert myself but I don't see a problem with the dung's shape. Quote
Pencoin Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Brown salami would have been nicer though. Quote
AFOL SF Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 When will this set be in stores? I'm able to get a hold of the January 2009 store calendar and the week starting Jan 11th, the Medieval Market Village is featured. Caption says, "get the new exclusive Medieval Market Village now! Item 10193 available exclusively in the LEGO stores, LEGO catalog and online at www.LEGOshop.com. See it built in the LEGO store gallery." So to answer your question, in less than a month's time. On another note, Friday - Jan 2nd shows that new 2009 Lego themes and sets will be available. Pictured is the new Power Miner. Quote
Pencoin Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 When will this set be in stores? It won't be, you can only get it from S@H or the (rare) LEGO stores. Quote
Jlblue Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 This set is beyond awesomeness. Honestly it would perfectly complement a nice castle by surrounding it. I suppose I'm lucky I live right near a Lego store. Quote
alex12 Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I can't wait to get this set. I'm thinking of getting 2 and i've never done that before. Roll on January. :skull: Quote
Holodoc Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 I'm thinking of getting 2 and i've never done that before. Then it´s time to start buying that way! There are a lot of sets worth buying two copies! Quote
Dadster Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 There are folks out there who buy 2 (and sometimes more...) copies of every set - or every set within a theme, then simply stick one in a box, locked away in storage. I know I'll be there on Day 1 of the available purchase day! Quote

But I do wonder if they will jump the date and go on sale earlier, like the Pirate sets seemed to. Quote
Nikola Bathory Posted December 13, 2008 Posted December 13, 2008 This is a great set! As I already said somewhere here - best LEGO Castle set since the mid-90's!!! Quote

I suppose you could collect lego and never open it as an investment. Me i open it , sling the box and get building. I'll be joining you on the first day as well. Quote

GloriusShadow Posted December 17, 2008 Posted December 17, 2008 Ghaaah..gah..*faints* Okay Ive drooled over this since the first day it was posted on internet. Its one of the best sets ever! Whooooohoooo! Quote
Dadster Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 You know what stinks? I was in the "local" Lego store yesterday and inquired about the Marketplace set coming in Jan. Store Employee: What Marketplace set? Me: Um - the new Medieval Marketplace set from the Castle theme. Store Employee: Sorry, I don't know anything about it. I wish a store that specialized in a single product would hire employees that might keep up with rumors and/or actual products headed their way... Quote
Shtick Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Store Employee: What Marketplace set? My buddy and I had a bit of fun with the Downtown Disney LEGO store a while back. Right before the Indy LEGOs were released, my buddy had bought the Motorcycle Chase set on Ebay. We took it to the LEGO store, and asked if they had any of the new Indy sets. The clerk replied, "No, they have not been released yet." Then we asked him if he'd like to see one. They are just employees. They are usually the last to know any information. Quote
castlestrike666 Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 You've got a point there, dadster, but maybe they're not allowed to give information about the coming sets? I cannot imagine an employee of a specialised Legostore doesn't know what's coming next year.. I think he even knows more than we already know! I suppose within a month we will finally be able to enjoy this marvelous set! So maybe the first half of January, if we're lucky.. . I'm already saving money! Quote

metalandi Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 (edited) Where did you get it? And i know there's already a review, but could you make another, detailed one, maybe with better pictures of the one we already know? Edit: Oh, just saw you're already doing it, nevermind. Freddie Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Emilec isn't the only one who got his hands on it; there's a review up at Brickjournal too. Quote
