slimninj4 Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 I do not think the price will go up. It should be stable UNLESS the economy really tanks. Quote
Filozof Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Hmmmmmm... Nobody have instruction of this set? Quote
Lego12 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Agreed. The price will probably get higher due to the "crisis" and some other stuff. I really want this set. I would actually buy it for $150! Lego12 Quote
metalandi Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Well, i actually told my parents about it and they said there's no need to buy it myself, i'll get it for my birthday. Ain't that good news? Quote
Hinckley Posted October 9, 2008 Author Posted October 9, 2008 Hmmmmmm... Nobody have instruction of this set? I think TLG finally wised up about people searching their cache so we might not see instructions so early the way we have been. They didn't want us to put up the images from the cache but kept putting them up there on a public URL. I hope they've realized it's like Marge telling Homer, "Now Homer! Don't you eat that pie." and Homer saying "Okay, Pie. I'm just going to do this (bites air) and if you get eaten, it's your fault." Then he hits his head on the hood vent. What was I talking about? Quote
metalandi Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 also, it's still about 3 months till it will be released, and there never have been uploaded instruction until one or 2 weeks before the release as far as i remeber. Lately they even get uploaded weeks after the sets are already out, for example for the taj mahal or the death star. Quote
Athos Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Do we know if the decorated elements are printer or just more crappy sticker-age? Steve Quote

metalandi Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I think i'm the only one that doesn't really care if they are stickers or not. I mean, several older sets already had stickers, or worse, decals, and nobody was complaining. i actually do see that as somethng positive because you can use those parts for different things then, because they are not printed and stuck to something special. Best analogy ever I think i'm the only one that doesn't really care if they are stickers or not. I thought that decals and stickers were the same thing ... I agree with you, though. Although I like the feel of printed pieces (So SMOOOOOOOTH ) I can live with applying a few stickers if it means that I'll be able to take them off when I take the model apart, but still be able to have a correctly patterned/colored model for display. Zorro Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 They better not rise the price for this set... I would really be dissapointed... I just got to think Lego would become cheaper. And the crisis has affected us enough already Quote

I always thought decals were such thngs that attach with help of water, kinda like stamps, but i could be wrong though. Quote

Dadster Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I always thought decals were such thngs that attach with help of water, kinda like stamps, but i could be wrong though. Those bring back memories...bad ones. I used to build model kits (cars, planes, etc) and actually got pretty good at doing it, but they were still a bit of a pain in the butt. Quote
Rayman Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 I suppose I can't complain about using stickers and decals. Haha, stickers are great for making quick changes to official bricks as its just peel and stick. I am a fan of decals as a well applied decal almost has no visible seam. Its the closest thing to a printed piece, and the difference is hardly noticable especially if you have a good printer and don't scrutinise the decalled surface with a magnifying glass. Quote
AmperZand Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 stickers. Does that include the minifig torsos and dresses? If so, I may revise my intention of getting this set. Me no like stickers. Quote

LEGO doesn´t make stickers for LEGO figures (except the two Space/Factory sets). Man! When is this gonna come out to stores? January. Quote
UsernameMDM Posted October 10, 2008 Posted October 10, 2008 Man! When is this gonna come out to stores? I was under the impression it would be a SAH exclusive. Some have said it may show up in the Lego stores, but I doubt it will show up at any other retail outlet. Quote
Hinckley Posted October 11, 2008 Author Posted October 11, 2008 Does that include the minifig torsos and dresses? Of course it does not. Quote
Tim Bit Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 The one thing in my life I have never done is purchase a castle set but this might turn it around. Its gorgeous I may have to purchase one of those ( probaly not cause its looking like other 09 themes are going to break me ) Quote
slimninj4 Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Stickers do not bother me either. I never add them to the models since I like to be able to use them for different MOCs. Quote
