natelite Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Boobs? Believe it or not boobs are rather hard to draw. But I suppose now to draw some boobies. yeah, it's kinda hard to give lego mf shapes. you can use shading to give the "illusion" of shape. here are some pics for inspiration! http://www.bricklink.com/PL/973pb526c01.jpg Quote
Rayman Posted January 30, 2009 Author Posted January 30, 2009 Sigh... I totally forgot about the revision! I've been so busy with my new customs, but thanks for bumping the thread. Another task to add to my to do list... Quote
Commander Flash Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Your Welcome! I have to see some good nose art...(and some busty twi'leks) Quote
Corvus Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Awesome. I need some more gunships do do this with. They're all great. Quote
ptdapen Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 Can't believe I haven't kept myself updated on your work. Scrap 'Em is pretty great, when Lego Clone Troopers rip off heads of the droids they destroy. Keep on working on these. Quote
Huntleyfx Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Excellent work on the decals, at first I thought they were official designs. I always love good nose art, both vintage and futuristic. (And as an art student, believe me, I understand how hard it is to draw anatomy.) Although I never understood most men's fascination with Twi'leks. (I'm more of a Padme guy myself.) Quote
green dewback Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 (edited) Hi Rayman, Can you please make a decal of the wampa for us ? I would love to print it out and use it on my republic gunship. http://www.flickr.com/photos/no_onions/3281041867/sizes/l/ Thanks ! Edited February 16, 2009 by green dewback Quote
Oky Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 (edited) Did anyone notice in this pic that there is an alternate nose art sticker for the LAAT Dropship that looks almost just like this ^ ? Strange. Perhaps the Lego designers (or the makers of the CW show if it's based on a real nose art) saw your custom nose art, Rayman, and used it for the set. If that's the case, you should sue them. CloneMe Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Awsome work Rayman. Are you going to work on anymore. These look awsome. Quote
green dewback Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 (edited) Here is an idea of what i meant in the previous post. The whampa picture is copy&paste and rotated. The shade of white is uneven as it is ripped from a photo not digital scan. (photo taken by Ace from fbtb) I really hope you can finish up the nose and chin of the whampa. Thanks in advance. ****EDIT**** I Tried the magic eraser tool in photoshop, now it looks much better Much improvement still needed. Below are the links for higher resolution. http://tinyurl.com/areevc http://tinyurl.com/buvhkv Thanks to Rayman for the template. Edited February 16, 2009 by green dewback Quote
green dewback Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Added some lines, republic insignia, and the galactic basic for "wampa" My first time doing this, a little tricky to print at the exact pixel and millimeter length. Glued a second layer of paper to make it thicker so it can hook onto the white plate. Hi-Res http://tinyurl.com/decal-final Quote
Razzer Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Ye green dewback, I wasn't s big fan at first but I must say it looks very impressive on the RGS, well done! Quote
CommanderCody77 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I love them all, but my favorite one so far is Scrap 'Em but i also like happy flyer Added some lines, republic insignia, and the galactic basic for "wampa"My first time doing this, a little tricky to print at the exact pixel and millimeter length. Glued a second layer of paper to make it thicker so it can hook onto the white plate. Hi-Res http://tinyurl.com/decal-final Very good sticker, it looks a lot like the Republic Gun Ship that is coming in March 30th Quote
Darth Legolas Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) EDIT: Awwe. Oky-Wan Kenobi already pointed this out! It looks like TLG made your ideas official! In the new Dropship and AT-OT set, the alternate sticker for the LAAT/C is exactly like Scrap 'Em! It's second from the left at the very bottom! Edited February 17, 2009 by Darth Legolas Quote
Rayman Posted February 18, 2009 Author Posted February 18, 2009 (edited) Hey that putting the wampa onto the gunship looks pretty fierce dewback, and to answer your request about redrawing TLC's version of the LAAT/c stickers; yes I will be doing the full Republic Dropship sticker sheet once it has been released. I'll need a scan of it as to make it as faithful to the original as possible. So I hope that you don't mind the wait. I am quite surprised that a design similar to my Scrap Em!!! sticker, but not surprised on the same token as I think this gunship artwork will appear in one of the Ryloth Trilogy episodes. So the artwork is official star wars material but the name that I gave it: "Scrap Em!!!" is not. But thanks for pointing it out Oky-Wan Kenobi and Huntleyfx. New sticker designs will have to wait until I have finished some other projects as I am in custom-minifig mode at the moment. But not to worry I am planning three more sticker designs for the gunship. Keep watching this space, and as usual I appreciate your continuing interest and many encouraging comments. And to update everyone about the Happy Flyer sticker, I have decided not to add breasts to the sticker as after many many revisions I felt that they interfered with the design- Besides the position of the Lekku on the Twi'lek would have covered them up anyway. Capt. Kirk Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 (edited) Awsome work Rayman & Green Dewback !!! Edited February 18, 2009 by Capt. Kirk Quote
Rayman Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 Hi everyone, Finally found some time to work on my next gunship nose sticker. Here's a little teaser of her . I expect to have the finished sticker finished by sunday, and I am refining the line art as I type this. See if you can guess what the next nose art will be Thanks! Rayman Quote
KimT Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Looking good Rayman I thought we'd lost you Quote
Rayman Posted September 6, 2009 Author Posted September 6, 2009 Nope KimT, just on holidays Anyway I managed to finish the artwork this morning. The Handmaiden artwork is based on one of the clone pin-up posters in the Hidden Enemy episode (should be number 16). So like my previous two gunship stickers aren't canon. I think that I am getting the hang of drawing cartoon LEGO minifigs. Haha. Still have one more design to do before season 2 starts... Quote
Forresto Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 That is sweet! You are getting better drawing minifgures, but not too much since you've always been really good . Quote
RileyC Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Wow awesome work Rayman! The minifig's dress has great colours they look really good. Im really curious, what does the aubresh say? This is great and I cant wait for the next one Quote
Jebediahs Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Really nice posings and overall style, there Rayman. I enjoy the black & white "preview" pic the best. Quote
