xwingyoda Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 (Lol) once we get pics we'll be able to tell! :X: Thanks for the insight ;) Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 My pleasure ;) and its more than a section Jipay, a whole shop *sing* . On topic: I'm sure this set is really worth it, especially for the base elements and the figs (also I wouldn't mind aving a second shuttle!!!) Quote
snefroe Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 this "pick a brick" in Paris you were talking about. is that basically a cardboard box with all sorts of bricks in it? essentially, bricks that comes straight from tlc's overstock? i remember a shopkeeper who got three of those boxes. one was completely filled with dark gray plates (8 x 16), the others had lots of useless bricks in the most unthinkable colors... Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Yeah, that's pretty much like that!! Its a circular stand with big plastick buckets with a lot of useless bricks, but I got a lot of white and black fences for my MOCs (in preparation)!! I don't know how often they change the bricks though. I'll ty to find a picture of it!!! Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Here is the picture of the "pick a brick" taken at the Galeries Layayette: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....y.cgi?i=1117455 (how do you post a picture directly?) Quote
snefroe Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 it seems they don't change them. shopkeepers just seem to wait until these boxes are empty and that's it... they started with these boxes in august last year and they're still in the shop. however, all that's left now is a huge pile of crappy parts. you have to be very fast to get the best bricks. after a month or so, every one has taken every valuable part out of it... however, i do hope that TLC will continue with this experiment, 'cause according to one of the shopkeepers, that's exactly what it is... but i also found some prety interesting parts... xwingyoda Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I have seen pictures of an an amazing shop somwhere in Germany where half of the shop is just "pick a brick"!! Still good though the Lego France experiments!! Let's hope it will go further!!! Quote

Vader Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 My TRU dosent have the set yet which is a shame but im sure they will get it soon enough. Quote
erao Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Tis true Matt, but who knows, TLC might refer to the scene where Obi tells Luke that the targeted sandcrawler is the job of imperial troopers and not sand people. Therefore, we might have a sancrawler with bullets holes on the side ;) It don't consider TLC will release a terrible scene like this :o They want peace. Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Peace you say, what about all those guns in the crappy dino line? Quote
snefroe Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 i guess TLC will go for the ep4 scene in which all sorts of droids are being sold to customers. i think that's the best known sandcrawler scene of all, and its non-violent the second scene with the sandcrawler in ep4, with dead bodies, doesn't really show any functionality of the crawler. it's just standing there... it is in fact not even envolved in the story at that time. i think the most logical decision of TLC would have been to include Luke and the uncle. for some reason, unknown to me, they didn't do that. Jipay Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Maybe an episode II sancrawler with anakin questioning the jawas ^^ Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I just loved the idea of a blasted sandcrawler :-D Quote
