xwingyoda Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 From a Yoda to another Yoda: "nouveaux" , "mort" & "des films classiques" Pretty good French my litlle green dude :-D (and of course you are excused, needless to say!!) Where are from? Talk to you later, I will (he he :-D ) Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 thank you very much, yoda601. this forum was beginning to sound like a dating service! :P "Beware of jealousy, this green eyed monster mocks the flesh it feeds on" :P . That goes like this in Othello if my memory is correct. See Sneroe1, Lego leads to everything :P Quote
#1legofreak Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Oh well, we'll just have to buy 2 sets then (6 Jawas :-D ).I need to start putting money away for that :-D that is 300 bucks!!! where do you get that sort of money? (I'm a half member now !) :X: Quote
The Middleman Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Bricklink's going to make a killing on those Jawas. Quote
Jipay Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 bricklinks is making a killing on basically everything. Buy the entire set : you are screwed, buy the set in pieces, you are even more screwed. Especially for star wars, i think we should get the sets now and save in 2007 :^D Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Yep, especially if you want a lot of SW sets for Mocs, better get them when the're HOT (unless you want to take your chances with Bricklink or Ebay). I guess I'll just use the 2nd set for brown pieces (I do sense a nice Mos Eisley Moc ;) ) and especially for minifigs!!!! Quote
snefroe Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 i was going to buy the death star, but since that's crap, i guess i've got enough to buy me at least one crawler... whether it will stay that way, depends on the quality of the work. if it's really brilliant, perhaps i might buy a second crawler next year or, if it's still in the shop, a year later. i don't think i'll buy the other SW sets, except for the clone turbo tank, so i still have some financial reserves... by the way, bricklink is in many ways a lot cheaper than TLC. i just bought 2500 2 x 2 bricks for 40$ (+38$ shipping costs). a 1000 of these via s&h costs 70 euro! Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Oops *sick* 2005 is a reallty costly year: there are so many cool sets!!! I really like the DSII, the crawler and most of the ROTS sets + I still need the ISD *sing* I guess I'll just eat rice for a year :P Quote
sam89 Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 I've just recieved news of a few more Episode III sets. Firstly there's two MINIs. They will be: 6966 Mini Jedi Starfighter 6967 Mini ARC Fighter These are marked as promotional however, so they might be Brickmaster Exclusives (which would be extremely unfair, especially since it's only available to Americans. Secondly there's 7283 Ultimate Space Battle, coming in October. This includes Anakin's Jedi Starfighter, two Vulture Droids, a Tri-Fighter and best of all, Obi-wan's red Jedi Starfighter. I'm disappointed in this as well, since it means I'll only be able to get Obi-wan's JSF if I buy the Jedi Starfighter and Vulture Droid, which I've already got. I think I might not buy a Tri-Fighter though, so I can get it with this set. Or maybe I'll buy the red JSF separately some where, like on ebay? Quote
jedijeff Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 awesome! those sets sound great ;) I hope they get realeased :) Quote
Jipay Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Do you think obiwa, starfighter is different than the one from epII ? If it's an exclusive I'm screwed since I already bought anakin's fighter. The only alternative is for this set to be cheap Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Thanks Sam for the news!! I totally agree with you conerning your second point (for the Minis, I only buy Classic ones, so...). I guess TLC is doing the same BS as the other multi ties set: really sucked because I already had 2 Tie fighters and the Tie X1 *devil* If it means having two Anakin's fighters and a couple of Vulture Droids..., oh well here goes another army on the way!!! We'll have to wait and see :'( Quote
sam89 Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 Obi-wan's is the same as Anakin's, except it's red. Here's a pic of the toy: http://toyfair.rebelscum.com/2005/Hasbrone...new/image50.asp Quote
Jipay Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 damn, I hate that ! I think I wont buy it, I wont buy ships twice if they are supposed to be unique (anakin's starfighter). If only they could have include ties Quote
