MattZitron Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Galactic Hunter has posted up its coverage of the Star Wars Weekend at LegoLand. Anyway some prototype Vehicles were on display as well as a prototype for THE ACKLAY: Other Proto pics: Here, and Here. Enjoy Matt Quote
The Middleman Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 That's a megablocking Solar Sailer! WE NEED IT! Quote
snefroe Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 thanks Matt. these pics are very interesting. these sw-ships don't look like prototypes to me, especiallly the wookie attack craft... where did those two grey discs come from? cool :oD Quote
snefroe Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 That's a megablocking Solar Sailer! WE NEED IT! a what? *wacko* Quote
sam89 Posted May 2, 2005 Author Posted May 2, 2005 Here's a nother pic of the Solar Sailer: http://www.galactichunter.com/absoluteig/g...4&box=&shownew= As for the Acklay, I guess it could be a prototype (that will later be turned green) for an Arena set. Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 OOO AHHH I was hoping we would get some more ep2 sets. O yeah, someone needs to edit the title to ep. 2 ;) Quote

stan Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Just go to www.lugnet.com go to their set database and go to the star wars section and its the first set on the list. Quote
Ras 74 Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Just a question Stan... Where are you from... Sweden? Quote
chewie Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 oo wow these look awsome i sure hope they come out as sets that would be so cool the solar sailer looks so cool and so does the wookie ship Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 http://www.galactichunter.com/absoluteig/g...2&box=&shownew= What is this? Quote
snefroe Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 http://www.galactichunter.com/absoluteig/g...2&box=&shownew=What is this? that's a very good question! is it a prototype or just the result of a lego designer getting creative? what is really weird is that some parts, like the wedge of the nose of this thing, were never produced in this colour, according to bricklink cat. I don't think TLC would set up a production line just for this model, so... i like the legs of this thing, they really look powerful, especially compared to the legs of the AT ST... could there be a UCS set involved? Quote
MattZitron Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 That's a megablocking Solar Sailer! WE NEED IT! a what? *wacko* The Solar Sailor is Count Dooku's ship that he escapes in at the end of Episode 2. Quote

Maybe it something from the EU. I mean there is nothing like that in the movie. Did you notice the minifig was a AT AT pilot and the one at the back a normal storm trooper Quote
ApophisV Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 But what does the ackley in the first picture??? Vomiting??? *sick* Quote
ApophisV Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Wow, look at this Deathstar hangar scene!!! Somehow the new Falcon in this diorama is slightly modified: Look at the gun at the top! And what are the two enginieers doing with the blue box? Flying??? Hmmmm.... Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Death Star scene? That pretty much proves its all fake |-/ Quote
Wolf04 Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 I really doubt those are new sets. Chances are they are just MOCs. Quote
sam89 Posted May 2, 2005 Author Posted May 2, 2005 I think the Death Star scene is just supposed to be a MOC. The others are prototypes, I think. Quote
chewie Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 even if the death star scene is a MOC it still look really good and well done Quote
ApophisV Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 There were some MOCs displayed at this event. But all MOCs got a small paper sheet with them, the Acklay and stuff havent some. But nonetheless it could be possible that they just showed prototypes of "sets" that never made it to the retailers' shelves... (Look at the Jabba sculpture which was also "only" some behind the scenes thing) Quote
