So no major redesigns, only amelorations of the old sets !!!!! (I guess they wanted to keep the "spirit" of the OT classic sets).

I really can't wait !!!!!!

Here's some new info:
The B-Wing looks pretty much the same. The sample package doesn't have sides or a back, so I can't tell if the crew figure and astromech are included, but there is a similar looking pilot. It looks like this one has some kind of a yellow Lego base stand so that you can stand your B-wing up.

The Slave-I features Boba Fett and the other three bounty hunters, and I didn't see it on the package, but I assume there is a carbonite block han included. This one is a cross between models 7144 (Fett's) and 7153 (Jango's), with the actual pieces more like Jango's, but coloration more similar to Fett's. For example, there are four quad guns on the bottom like Jango's and the cockpit is rounded like Jango's. They've added those smooth, flat pieces (where you can only connect other pieces to the bottom) all down the front spine of the Slave-I and it looks more sleek. Boba Fett figure looks the same as the prior version.

The A-Wing is pretty similar as well, though the front is redone so that its all smooth, with no lego bumps all over. The rest of the fighter colors are red and white instead of red and gray, and the ship looks to be a layer taller than the previous model. Back engines and side guns are pretty similar. The pilot figure looks similar from what I can see of him, but the ground crew figure looks new. He has some kind of radar dish and a seat, with a new helmet.

The V-Wing is the smallest of the sets and the clone pilot looks like the ones that were introduced in the ROTS sets. Looks like the wings/wing guns might rotate 360 degrees, but I can't tell that for sure.

Thanks for the update, this is great news. Did you hear anything on the Tie Interceptor?

The Interceptor is going to be a slight deception, I'm sure !!!!

For once, it will have blue parts all over (whats with TLC and blue, I wonder !!!) !!!!!

I'm sure the cockpit will not be redesigned so it will be the standard Tie one (which in a way is good because of unity in the Tie collection).

I hoped for a Crimson Tie !!!!!!!!!

Oh yes! I own the old Slave 1 and have been eyeing up the Jango one in my local Westgate store, but now I needn't worry. The new redesign sounds great! Also a TIE Interceptor, yay! The A, B and V-Wings I will probably pick up, but a true Slave 1, now that is good.

I wouldnt be surprised if there isnt a carbonite Han included to be honest - this set sounds like it's based around the scene on the Super Star Destroyer where Vader is talking to the bounty hunters, and at that point Boba Fett hasnt even been to Cloud City yet and Han isnt in the carbonite. I could be wrong, but it'd make more sense for Carbo-Han not to be included.

Cool. Though he will be different in one way of course - his body and legs are going to be bley! That'll upset the purists ;)

Sounds very interesting... does he look like one of these guys?

I look forward to having new figs like 4-lom and dengar but i bet leg will just use a battle droid with a cylinder head for ig-88.

I just hope that they do a good job with 4-loms as it would be so cool to have a good version of him.

I watched the bounty hunter scene again this morning and find it a bit strange that Dengar is included. He really appeared way in the background for just a second in the scene, talking to Vader.

TLC should have included 'Zuckuss' or whatever he is called instead (the green one in the diving suit, standing on the very right of the bridge) :)

In terms of what other sets are coming, my money is on the sail barge. This is pure speculation, but I just have a feeling that this one is on its way... 8 figs, 800 pieces, $90.

I'm with you on that one. Been wanting to see one ever since I saw this amazing custom on Brickshelf... can't find it now.

Yeah, now that the Sandcrawler is available, the Sail Barge would be the next big 'minor' model of the OT.

It'd better have awesome interior, though (blue elephant dude included) :-D

The great thing about the Sail Barge is that we get a flesh Slave Leia... :-D

Yeah, we definatly need one of those.

The sail barge would be ace. A better looking jabba (if that's possible) has to be included.

If and when Lego releases the Sailbarge, the price will more likely be $100. That has been the most common price point for the big sets, and I believe this one will follow suit.

The new sets for 2006 sound awesome.

it is a surprise, tho, that tlc already approves of this news getting out. it makes you wonder what they'll be releasing between sept-dec 2005. it has to be either exceptionally brilliant or terribly bad...

I seriously doubt they approve... and as far as Sept-Dec this year, I think we're getting Ultimate Space Battle and that's about it. Not sure... you know what we need? A product calendar, based on all the info we gather. We could put prices on it and everything. It'd really help people budget and plan well.

Anyone seen this little thing:

"I was talking to a fellow (head) toy designer from a major toy company. We were talking about the upcoming liscencing show in NYC and I asked him if his company was going to bid for the upcoming SW TV series. His response was:

"No. Already taken."

"Hasbro?"

"LEGO."

Sounds interesting... right?

Wonder what it really meens?

Can they still produce anything they like in the SW serie, AND does this make

that TLC gets the right to produce just the mini-figs???

a calendar would indeed be great.

didn't they confirm the news to Sam? doesn't that suggest they approve of this info getting out?
