Dino_Bot Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I heard some time ago that this A-Wing was a completely new model. They wouldn't have too many stubs on the surface, but all flat parts. Quote
xwingyoda Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 It really looks like that viewing all the bits we have now ;) !!!!! Quote
Dino_Bot Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 I didn't see them in the Battle of Coruscant, but im sure they were there...The images were too detailed and I sat too close to the screen. Quote
Vader Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 No matter what the final version of this set looks like i have to say that lego have really made great sets this year and i cant wait to see what others we will get next year. :) Quote
Vader Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I also think that i saw them during the battle over coruscant but i could be wrong, i guess ill find out for sure when the dvd comes out :) Quote
MattZitron Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 New Image up. Looks like the from red bits are curved! Quote
chewie Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 New Image up. Looks like the from red bits are curved! Although if you look closley enough the mini fig is almost lieing flat down in the cockpit, it would be cool if the cockpit was made big enough for the lego man to sit in it..oh well it still looks good Quote
Bloke Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I would say from that pic the mini figs helmet, of which much talk on FBTB is about, is pretty much the same as the original version, full face grey with the printing on it. Even when the full pic is up it may be hard to see the little chap anyway..the light is reflecting off the canopy but he does look like hes lying down...one thing for sure is he will be peach :( I like what i am seeing though, it does look nice and smooth...can see a few of these being bought. All the best Dave Quote
mutley777 Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 wow! this looks like it is going to be a great set! i hope we will have a new poll about the new sets tomorrow as then we will see if people have changed their minds on the new sets for 2006. Quote
The Middleman Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 This is not going to be worth 20 unless it comes with some FANTASTIC figure... Quote
MattZitron Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 This is not going to be worth 20 unless it comes with some FANTASTIC figure... $20????????? It better be made of gold. Quote

sam89 Posted September 15, 2005 Author Posted September 15, 2005 Well it is supposed to come with a mechanic and some kind of small control centre. Quote
xwingyoda Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 From what Ace posted so far, this looks like the BEST redesign TLC never did !!!!!!!!! The front looks fabulous !! Cannot wait to see the up wings, guns and Mf !!!!!!!!! Tomorrow's pic will be hard to wait ;) Quote
The Middleman Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 It's way too <insert that tiresome argument>. The entire front is made up of those awful wedge pieces. Quote
xwingyoda Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I would view it as a real slick fighter, the fastest one with the Interceptor !!! The best way to have this slick appearance, is by having pratically no studs on it which you can be viewed as too <insert that tiresome argument> !!! Jay, what are those "wedge" parts ??? the white ones or the red front ??? Quote
mutley777 Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 i agree with both points here. the wedge pieces do make sets easier and less fun to build but the a-wing was always a very sleek ship with smooth lines. i love what we have seen for 2006 and even if there are alot of redesigns i think most will admit that they are great sets in their own right. MattZitron Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Loose pic from Rebelscum.com. Matt Quote
sam89 Posted September 16, 2005 Author Posted September 16, 2005 It's strange that Lego gave them that pic before FBTB put their pic up. It looks good though. Quote
xwingyoda Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Tks Matt for the pic *satis* It seems that my two concerns were not dealt with properly: the front landing gear is still the same part, and the side guns seem to turn easilly !! Apart from that it looks really SUPERB !!!!! The shape is slick like it should, the colors are great and the rear engines look great with that "wheel" part and the trans yellow part !!!! The cart is ok, really simple but quite nice (cool ladder !!, finally MF can reach their cokpits :D ) and the mechanics looks really cool !!!! Cannot wait to have better pics of those 2 MFs !!! I LOVE this set, will buy a couple definitly !!!!!!! Quote
Vader Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Wow for the price this sure looks like a nice little set. Quote
mutley777 Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 looks great! can't wait for a more detailed pic. Quote
Renegade Clone Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Neat, the Tech is my favourite thing in the set - with my black kepi hats I might finally have an answer to Imperial Technicians!! :) Is the A-Wing helmet new or just the old motorcycle mold? Quote
