I doubt it will be in the old grey as lego seems to be phasing them out which is a shame as i dont like the new grey all that much and it dosent really match the colour of the ship.

Maybe the Imperial Star Destroyer? The AT-TE? Or the UCS Snowspeeder.... there's still old grey on that.

The new bley isn't all bad... for some sets, like the TIE fighters, I think it's actually better to have a cooler-tone, blue-grey. But yeah, the sailbarge would definitely look better in old grey.

My personal pet peeve (going off-topic here) is that the Sandcrawler was done in new red-brown. The old brown would have been perfect for it.... as it is it just looks too red.

I think the new greys and brown don't look all too bad. It is just that it's horrible to combine the new bricks with the old tones. They are just useless if you dismantle the models. Not to mention the new minifigs. This has been discussed a thousand times, but whenever this pops up you'll hear my take on it haha One of the biggest mistakes Lego made in the recent past..,

Still, I'm dying to see Lego's official rendition of the Sail Barge!

P.S. I think the last real grey set was the X-Wing with Yoda's hut, but I could be mistaken.

No, it was new grey.

All sets made after 2004 are in new grey as far as I can remember. This means that newer X-wing, Snowspeeder and Falcon are all new grey.

Hmmm i guess so, the sailbarge was a darkish colour so perhaps the new grey will look good anyway. :/

I have the newer X-wing (4502). It's definately old colours which makes it a superb set. Falcon 4504 (pity), new minifig Snowspeeder, Tie Collection and Death Star are all new colours. ISD is old. Come on, I'm an expert on this :P

Funny, I actually much prefer the new Falcon in new grey. When I look at in next to the old one (or sitting on the Cloud City landing platform, where I have it displayed) the old grey just looks drab and dingy.

Overall I like the new greys. But you're right that they really can't be mixed with the old ones.... it just clashes.

As Rivets said, the X-Wing is in old greys, since it was released a the end of 2003 in America, so I think this was the last set released with old greys.

Shame, but as long as the set itself is good then im sure that people will be happy with a sailbarge in the new grey.

I wonder what they will make the sailbarges sails out of?? possibaly the same as there capes if so that would be cool.

I would assume that they would use the same material that the use for sails on ships. Lets hope they don't use cardboard :|

I wouldn't mind those cloth sails either but I'd really prefer a red plate construction. Probably the designers could use those studless plates they also used for the marvellous Red Baron..,

I doubt if we would get a brick construction as it just wouldnt make sense from a cost point or imo look good.

Ok, you persuaded me.., they should rather use all the bricks (at least 700!) for the main construction, not the sails.

Lol well that was easy ;) i would rather they did use the pieces for the barge rather than the sails or we would have a set with very little to it.

A pit would be good but like i said before i would hope that its just a sailbarge what with the piece count being at 700.

A pit could be great as ANOTHER set featuring a small barge, couple of MFs, pit and Sarlac, that would be great !!!!! Keep the precious parts to Jabba's Barge itself ;)
