DoubleT Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Yes its great that Lego has seen the light and have made an cheap trooper set... And Apu there is also two kinds of Droids ;) Quote
jonfett Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 And Apu there is also two kinds of Droids ;) Actually there is 3.. you got tan battle droid, sand red battle droid and super battle droid.. maybe you could also include the destroyer droids, oh and theres the pit droids too!! :P Jon. Quote
jonfett Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Eh in the Episode 3 sets? Oh, you were just talking about ep3?? I thought it was all the star wars lego. :$ Jon. Quote
DoubleT Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Hi all Here is a better shot of Anakin, in episode 3 minifig style... Credit rebelscum Quote
sam89 Posted January 2, 2005 Author Posted January 2, 2005 I think he looks great, and I really like these light-up figs. My only problem is that they have "Try Me" packaging when the battery isn't replaceable, so by the time you get it there will be hardly any juice left in the battery. That's why I'm ordering all of the sets with light-up lightsabers off S@H :) Quote
Vader Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Thats a good idea sam, unless you can grab them from a shop asap then theyll all be useless Quote
Jipay Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Do we hve any confirmation it wont be replaceable ? I hope it will. I can hardly see them selling a 1 year lifetime fig Quote
sam89 Posted January 2, 2005 Author Posted January 2, 2005 The front of the TIE Fighter box says so. Quote
Jipay Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 This sucks. Im sure they do hope suckers will buy 5/10 of each as collectibles Quote
jonfett Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Anakin looks great, I like the scars on his face.. it looks alot like the face underneath Vaders helmet. The torso look good too, it will be a change from the other few jedi torsos. As for the light-up figs.. if the battery is not replacable I bet that there will be some high prices on Bricklink as many people will want to buy more. :/ Jon. Quote
Vader Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 What gets me is that there trying to put these light up figs in as a way to encourage us to buy the sets, but IMO the sets would look just as great without them. A set that is put together well will allways sell and it dosent need these figs, you know weve had 3 different anakins and yet its taken lego nearly 6yrs to give us a mace windu. >:( Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 God, that wookie set looks rubbish, the one with sand blue corporate alliance and dwarf spider droid droids in. They were never sand blue and the spider droids look horrible and the Cor. alliance droids scale is wring. It isn't fair to get us worked up like this. I hate lego. *turns stuburnly away* :'( EDIT: okay forget that, I just saw the new version of "Wookie Attack", it's better, nowhere near perfect perfect but better. Quote
ApophisV Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Hm, somehow Ani looks a bit like Snape from Harry Potter.... Quote
ApophisV Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 And Apu there is also two kinds of Droids ;) Erm.... If I'm talking about "Battle Droids" or "Battle Droid parts" I am ALWAY ALWAYS ALWAYS talking about my nice, beloved, sweet, cute, beautiful, great and superb Episode I tan Battle Droids..... *wub* And wasn't anywhere said that there will be a completely new sort of Battle Droids on Episode III?!? Quote
sam89 Posted January 2, 2005 Author Posted January 2, 2005 Sarg_Kulo, I think the "new" version of Wookiee Attack you saw is the old version. The finished set is the one with the sand blue in it :) Quote
ApophisV Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 I'd liked more to see the first version.... Meh..... |-/ Quote
Vader Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 It seems like most of the droid army fighter/tanks will now be sand blue, but it clashes with the tan/sand battle driods. Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 :/ Yeah I thought that. I don't like his hair, seems to inacuarate Quote
medib Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 DROOL!! I know I will get minor flamage, but.... I'm not really a big Lego Starwars collector. Having said that... I really love the look of the Clone Turbo Tank... it has that early Classic Lego Space look...a definite must have, even though Mace looks a little silly. *satis* I will probably get some scout walkers and maybe also the General Grevious set, even though he looks unimpressive Lego-wise. I would have thought he would be a bit more "buff." (but that is just my opinion). ;) Thanks, Ben M. Quote
Vader Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Hey we dont mind if your not a SW collector after all theres plenty of other themes out there and most are good and we cant all like the same things :) Quote
ApophisV Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 I will probably get some scout walkers Hm, thats really wierd... This walker has some thing that makes everybody wanna buy several of it.... I wonder if there is some secret message included into the picture or the model itself that sais "Buy me! Buy me!".... *wacko* Quote
