The Middleman Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 What people really like (or at least what I like :-D) is the officiality of a LEGO set displayed. That's something that MOCs can't achieve. I like all of the redesigns, and I don't think they should stop them. They have two more years, both years without a movie, and no upcoming movies within sight. Let them get the redesigns out of their system, and once Ep. III LEGO is finished, we'll probably get everything we want. ;) Quote
Orlego Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 I know what you are saying and yes official sets are cool, but I already had "official cool" sets the first time around. I don't need two official B-wings unless one is normal and one is a UCS set. I just hate when people re-hash old things esp. when it is for a profit. I guess it is fitting because look how many times Lucas has done the same thing with the OT. Quote
Vader Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 As theres only 2 yrs left i think it would be wishful thinking to hope that everyone will get the sets that they want. After all lego are now in there 6th yr of the license and some years all weve had are small dire sets or redisigned ones like last year. Quote
Jipay Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 As theres only 2 yrs left i think it would be wishful thinking to hope that everyone will get the sets that they want. After all lego are now in there 6th yr of the license and some years all weve had are small dire sets or redisigned ones like last year. Athos : sometimes we have to use strong language to say the things as they are... ;) I don't agree vader. in my opinion, most of the sets has been done now. I mean the really usefull ones. We have a LOT of minifigures. i think most of the people didn't even expect a greedo, but we got one. Now it's in human nature to always want more, and I agree that some new figures could be good. Concerning a sailbarje, it could be nice. But a sandcrawler, come on, gimme a break on that one. In my country this piece of junk never had any success and it would the flop of the century for lego if they release one. I won't ask for new locations sets since we already know how lego are good at them |-D Maybe a tie interceptor (tie, need more tie) :D Quote
Orlego Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 I think Vader is right about this. I can see your point about always wanting more Jipay but Lego should do new vehicle sets before they start re-design sets. Just like Lucas should have spent more time on Ep. 1&2 (and maybe 3) instead of changing the OT 3 million times. There are many people that love the sand crawler and I think it would be a great success if it were designed properly. Even kids and adults that never really liked the sand crawler would buy the set because it is something new, not just a re-designed set or another tie with a new light-up Vader minifig. Quote
Vader Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Well to me lego should of made a sandcrawler along time ago, sometimes a set wont sound good on paper but then there lies the challenge in making one that would sell, granted it would never make lego the kind of money that a RGS would but then again i gotta believe that it would do alot better than all those pod racers and other bad ep1 sets that weve been given. More figs would be good also and i am happy that we will be getting them this year, as for a sail barge im also surprised that we havent had one yet. As for sets, well i could name a few others and im sure other people could as well, my point is that if we all listed the sets that we want to see then there would be no way that we would get them all thus we wouldnt get everything that we wanted. Vader Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Nah he will be in the new xwing collection ;) Quote
Orlego Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Nah he will be in the new xwing collection ;) Ha, X-wing collection you say? Knowing Lego they will talk Lucas into re-writing the OT yet again to include a scene where Luke and his crew hotwire tie fighters just so they can release the Tie Collection 2 with new Luke/Rebel skin toned figs. ;) Quote
Vader Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Well they could do a rebellion collection with a x-wing, b-wing, a-wing and a y-wing but i have to say that i hope they dont. Quote
