mutley777 Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 but don't forget the ISD was over 3000 pieces and there were so many plate's which must more expensive to make. :) Quote
sam89 Posted February 13, 2005 Author Posted February 13, 2005 I think that the Death Star will be a VERY good set for people to build up their collection of the new grey ;) Quote
Centaur Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 The person was from Vernon-Rockville Conneticut. Mabye he/she is a Lego employee. Either that or the person got really lucky. I'm pretty sure that my tru has the arc-whatever fighter, so i'll stop by there today and see if they have anything else. By the looks of the sets, there aren't any norma jedi besides anakin and obi-wan. Quote
yoda601 Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 No light up Yoda or Grevious |-D . I cna imagine a Palpaine's office set :oD ...*Drools* :X: Tusken raider should come wiht sand crawler. Quote
David85 Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 I think she got lucky, like how Kay Bee released a STar Wars set a few weeks early. Not many people know this, but just because you live in CT or MA doesn't mean you have to work at the Lego plant. I know that is shocking. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 An expensive way to build up that collection. Quote
David85 Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 An expensive way to build up that collection. It's probably the cheapest. The more pieces you buy, the cheaper they are, so the best way is to buy a big set like the Death Star. Quote
yoda601 Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 I hope the sandcrawler minifig selection is changed, and has a couple of droids and at least on etusken raider :X: . But it must have Jawas. Quote

But it must have Jawas. Why Tusken Raiders? They walk in single file to cover their tracks, and those blaster points were too precise. Stormtroopers if anything! Quote
jonfett Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 .. and maybe a skelton Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen, with a burnt out Lars Homestead! :^^D Jon. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 .. and maybe a skelton Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen, with a burnt out Lars Homestead! :^^D Jon. That was no-where near the Sandcrawler. But you could have a Jawa BBQ, and C3P0 could have Jawa throwing action! Quote
jonfett Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 That was no-where near the Sandcrawler. Well maybe not in that scene, but when the Sandcrawler first arrives it is right outside the homestead! Jon. Quote
sam89 Posted February 13, 2005 Author Posted February 13, 2005 I somehow doubt we'll get corpse minifigs ;) Quote
The Middleman Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 I somehow doubt we'll get corpse minifigs ;) LEGO Star Wars display at the Mall of America had skeletons in front of its Lars homestead. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Do you reckon that Lego'll start to run out of sets to do and they might ACTUALLY have to make a Larrs Homestead? Quote
Centaur Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 ok.....i just went to tru, and they said big shipment of new stuff on tues. i'll post pics if i get any. no way. thats truly shocking. People should start looking for the stuff. Quote
selder Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Oh man, I really hope that UCS DS2 will be on sale any time soon ... 2005 looks very promising for my collection ... but a little less good for my wallet :D Quote
sam89 Posted February 14, 2005 Author Posted February 14, 2005 More news from Mister X: The Sandcrawler looks like the one from the magazine. The prices and piece counts are: 10143 Death Star II - $300 usd, about 3500 pieces 10144 Sandcrawler - $150 usd, about 1500 pieces. The numbers appear to show that they are both S@H Exclusives, I'll try and confirm this. Quote

sam89 Posted February 14, 2005 Author Posted February 14, 2005 He doesn't know the figs at the moment. Quote
andy0113 Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 1500 pieces..... blimey that sandcrawler is going to be enormous! Im actually surprised they're doing it that way, and making it that big. I thought that they would have gone for the "side-plates" kind of build, like they used for the AT-AT. But should be a fun (and lengthy) build anyway :) just really hope we get some other figs besides the jawas and r2/3p0 <*crosses fingers*> Quote
Vader Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Wow that sandcrawler should be a real good size :) i would expect it to come with at least 4 jawas and of course quite a few droids and i wouldnt be surprised if lego chucked in a luke, after all we have yet to get a flesh coloured version of him. Quote
The Middleman Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I think we should get: 4x Jawa 4x Generic Droid 1x R2-D2 1x C-3PO 1x Luke 1x Obi-Wan 1x Lars Homestead 1x Landspeeder 1x Sandcrawler (duh) Quote
