lucasanakin Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 will it be availiable in "normal" stores too ? if yes......WHEN ??? Quote
snefroe Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 i just found some more information about this set. according to TLC this set is an "update" of the former set. the official reason why they're rereleasing this is that TLC has new parts and colors now to improve the older models. Three years ago they simply couldn't produce the sets they're producing today. In time we might see other older sets with a facelift, even though TLC did not confirm any other release of an upgrade at this point, but it is possible. this set is an TRU exclusive but obviously S&H has them as well. they will try to balance the number of updates with the number of new releases because there's still so much to do... about these new lightsabers. it seems TLC is waiting for a response of the customers. If they're happy with them, than TLC will go on with the production of those ... and more... Quote
Jipay Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 will it be availiable in "normal" stores too ?if yes......WHEN ??? It won't... Only toys R us and shop at home have it Quote

OOM-30 Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 There seems to be new minis in this picture. Now I know this doesnt mean they will be released, but it would be cool! Background: Dex's Diner Minis from back left: Unknown(Possibly Radiant IV), Republic Gunship(Released), AT-TE(Releases), Dooku's Solar Sailer, Unknown(Possibly Trade federation equivelant to Gunship <from battlefront>), Unknown(possibly Laat/c), Ep.III Jedi Starfighter(Coming soon), Unknown(Its the small brown bit by the jedi starfighter) Figs from left:Wookiee(Warrior or Tarrful), Unknown(Possibly Padme), Palpatine, Dooku, Unknown(Possibly MOn Mothma or Padme) What do you think they are? The way It looks to me, is that there are 3 vehicles for each movie. the Gunship, ATTe, and solare sailer for EPII, and 2 of the unknowns and the RotS Jedi starfighter for EPIII. OOM Quote
ChewyLuke Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Just saw this press release. Is The force is with the LEGO brand as it celebrates the final episode in the Star Wars saga, hitting theaters in May, with 12 playsets featuring iconic starcraft, scenes and characters from the movie, including minifigures with new light-up lightsabers. a typo, or are we getting 12 sets? Quote
The Middleman Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Hm, two more? Could be fun. Maybe minis? Quote
David85 Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 There is 9 without the Jedi Fighter, so then thats 10. My guess is that the last 2 are the Death Star and the Sandcrawer and they just put them all together. Quote
Jipay Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 We have a lot of ads on the mainpage directly going to the ISD on shop at home. Could this be a sign of the end of the set ? It has been out for a long time now :( What do you think ? Quote
Athos Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I'd imagine that to be the case. Especially with the DSII coming out. I really can't see the market supporting two $300 sets. Steve Quote
Jipay Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Gosh then I really have to hurry *wacko* Quote
sam89 Posted February 26, 2005 Author Posted February 26, 2005 How about, 10 ROTS sets, the TIE Fighter and the Inperial Inspection? Quote
sam89 Posted February 26, 2005 Author Posted February 26, 2005 It's nothing too amazing, but this site has more Toy fair coverage: http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/toyfair2...005/lego/#rots2 If you look at the picture of the top of the Clone Turbo Tank box, you can see that the yellow clone has orange padding on his shoulder, like a sandtrooper. David85 Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 How about, 10 ROTS sets, the TIE Fighter and the Inperial Inspection? The TIE fighter is one of the 10 Episode 3 sets. Quote
David85 Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I always loved the set, but even so the price is too much. And it has been out at least three years and that is the tops cut off date for a set. Quote
Jipay Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Well if they do so nobody will buy the DSII, they will just wait until it goes on sale... Quote
sam89 Posted February 26, 2005 Author Posted February 26, 2005 No it's not. One thing, it's not in Episode III. Another thing there are 10 Episode III sets, not including the TIE Fighter: 1. Scout Walker 2. Vader Transformation 3. Tri-Fighter 4. Grievous Chase 5. JSF and Vulture Droid 6. Ultimate Lightsaber Duel 7. Wookiee Attack 8. ARC-170 9. Wookiee Catamaran 10. Clone Turbo Tank. jonfett Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I think Sam is right about the tie and the Imperial Shuttle being the other 2 sets. I expect they did not include the Death Star and Sandcrawler as they are not released until later this year. Jon. Quote
sam89 Posted February 26, 2005 Author Posted February 26, 2005 More on the Sandcrawler: There are 10 figs in total: - 6 droids (RD2D, another similar droid, C3PO and 3 brick built droids) - 3 Jawas - Another male figure (unknown at the moment) Another bit of news is that it uses lots of the technic links, and not rubber treads.
