xwingyoda Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 You need at least 2 sets for it to be interesting :-D :P Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Me trade crappy phones against clone troopers :-D ;) Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Guys, Here is a pick I found browsing on brickshelf of a Wookie warrior: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=122367 Ok the pic is not great but the minifig really looks great ;) Quote
Sarg_Kulo Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Man he has a meat head. :-D Appart from that he looks pretty cool. Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 laugh it up fuzzball :-D I wish TLC had some smaller sets with Wookie warriors to build an entire army |-/ Quote
The Middleman Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Well, Wookiee Attack comes with two, and that's $30. Not too bad. Comes with those nice treads, too! But who needs wookiees when you have... clones? I just picked up the Clone Scout Walker at Wal-Mart. Here's my story. I scope out 4 Wal-Marts. Last one, I'm despairing, thinking I won't find anything. I find the (revamped) LEGO section, and am about to leave when a black box up top catches my eye from behind a Quatro bin. I push it aside, and find about 6 Clone Scout Walkers. Only had money for one, unfortunately - or maybe not? So I walk over to the register, and they're ringing it up, and on the price screen it flashes up 'SALE NOT ALLOWED'. My heart turns to ice! She calls over her manager. They call up the lady in charge of the toy department - no answer. They ask me the price - I know it, thankfully ($10) - and they enter it in as a new item and charge me $10 for it, and let me walk out the door with it. KAPOW! BANG! Take that, Wal-Mart! :-D And I must say, it's a sexy set. Quote
The Middleman Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 I'm just getting it for the clone commander and the scout trooper in green. Why are you guys so upset over phones? :P Quote
jonfett Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 They ask me the price... Man, if I was in your situation I would have been walking away with all 6 of these sets! :D Jon. Quote

I felt like going back and getting more, but they were still trying to contact the toy lady, and I felt that saying 'uh yeah, I'll take 6, 2 dollars each' might get them a little suspicious. ;) Quote
Darth_Ewok Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Does anyone know how many people could the tank could transport (without cramming them in) I am thinking of modifying it to carry more people, but I need to know how many it normally can carry before I start. I wonder why some important part for the tanks engine or something would be exposed. maybe they are phones after all! weird *wacko* Quote
Darth_Ewok Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Only had money for one, unfortunately bring more money when looking for sets, you should. oh, by the way, does the wookie catamaran have yoda and a lightsaber to go with him? I saw a pic in which he was holding a harry potter wand. If he comes with a lightsaber, is it one of those light up ones? Quote
sam89 Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 No, he doesn't come with a light saber, only his walking stick. Quote
The Middleman Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Maybe I'll get a couple more tomorrow. ;) Quote

TLC probably tried to get an extra feature into this set... it's quite normal, tho... they're just trying to make the set more attractive. if you want the tank to be more realistic, then i guess you're going to have to wait until the movie comes out and when you've got this tank in your hands... i think you can also modify the entire wheel mechanism and make some more room for men... snefroe Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 seen these on brickself? http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=122432 Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Thanks for the pics snefroe1 ;) :P The trifighter looks much better than I expected: I really need a couple of those (they look really nicer than the crappy VD :-D ) I just love those Wookies ;) Really need to get an army of those ;) Can't wait to be saturday!!!!!!! Quote
snefroe Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 i liked it the first time i saw this one appear on forums. nowadays, i don't know what to think of it. i can't use the cockpit, because of the new type of hinge. it's not compatible with the old system... There's no real cockpit either. this ... thing... just seems to pop out the cockpit,... there are no studs inside so you can't put a seat in it,... i like the colors but they're at the same time useless, because i won't have enough bricks in these colors to build something decent. this machine is basically a combination of two cockpit windows and a lot of hinges... oh yeah ... plus ... something that pops out... what i most like about this set are those two cone parts on the robot. i'll use them as warheads on my torpedoes. but i think i'll wait with that until they're available in large numbers on bricklink however, I, but I'm sure i'm speaking for every one here, do expect to see a lot of photos made by you by Sunday :P, yes, next Sunday :P Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 That would be great if I had a digital camera ;) :P I need to buy one before the event thats for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
The Middleman Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 I'd estimate it carrying about 12 people, not counting the cockpit and without the speeder inside. Quote
The Middleman Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 Wow, the Tri-Fighter is awesome. Gotta pick that up! Quote
snefroe Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 That would be great if I had a digital camera ;) :P I need to buy one before the event thats for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!! can't you just grab one of a Japanese tourist in Paris? :P Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 I can ;) but I work in an area far from Japonese tourists *devil* :-D :P Quote
The Middleman Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 I'm going Wal-Mart hunting again today with a fresh $100 bill in my pocket - wish me luck! :-D Quote
