Athos Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Darkie mentioned that Lego unveiled 15 female figures at NW BrickCon. Here are pictures of four: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/291254...d7a4825.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3247/291253...039caae6c_b.jpg http://www.flickr.com/photos/dunechaser/29...157607726829590 Lets see if we can track down all 15, Steve Quote
Thrash Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Here's another. I think it's the pirate female from the big new ship coming out. And then I assume they're counting the two girls from the new Medieval Market as 2 more... ~Thrash Quote
Zorro Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Why don't you just ask Darkie? Or is this simply for fun I'm in "love" with the Orc Queen, I think its one of Lego's better creations and a nice additions to the Orcs. Quote
hewkii9 Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 So that minifig is the Governor's Daughter, then... I'm waiting to see the minifig with the dark red Trace hair that Darkie mentioned on CC, from the mystery theme. Quote
samthelegoman1 Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 The Willie Scott (second one) looks awesome! Quote
NewRight Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 They all look great. I have seen most of them previously through FlickR, but the mermaid looks interesting. Quote
Zarkan Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I'm waiting to see the minifig with the dark red Trace hair that Darkie mentioned on CC, from the mystery theme. Huh? Mystery theme? You mean there's another new theme we don't know about? Quote
Privateer Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 (edited) I think that of these four new minifig ladies, the Castle Queen is my favourite. Her dress is the most extravagant, luxurious, and elegant design that LEGO has done up to this point. Also, unless I am mistaken, she is only the second Castle-themed queen as well (discounting the chess set queens). Her hair is also great, and should prove useful in many other applications. It's also great to see the merperson piece come back; I foresee Little Mermaid MOCs in the future, hehe. With the slight reservation that this head is seeing too much use, I'd say LEGO is doing a wonderful job of rectifying the shortage of female minifigs problem. From all the minifig men, thanks, LEGO! Sandy Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 You are also forgetting the two lovely maidens that come with the Medieval Market Village, and possibly the new witch. If those three were included at the "pageant contest", then we already have a total of eight. Quote
Hinckley Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Here's what I remember and these are in no particular order: Agent Trace Clawdette Ahsoka Asajj Ventress Irina Spalko Marion Ravenswood Un-named female from yet-to-be-revealed Theme Pirate Lady Governor's Daughter (Pirates) Pirates Mermaid Castle Peasant Woman #1 Castle Peasant Woman #2 Castle Queen Orc Hag Queen Willie Scott Quote
Darth_Legois Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Here's what I remember and these are in no particular order: Agent Trace Clawdette Ahsoka Asajj Ventress Irina Spalko Marion Ravenswood Un-named female from yet-to-be-revealed Theme Pirate Lady Governor's Daughter (Pirates) Win. Pirates Mermaid Castle Peasant Woman #1 Castle Peasant Woman #2 Castle Queen Orc Hag Queen LOL Willie Scott Fixed Hmm my fav would have to be the Governors Daughter Quote
blueandwhite Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 The governor's daughter looks like she would fit in fairly well with the castle theme as well. Her dress is fairly generic enough making her a definite bonus for Castle fans! 2009 is looking to be an incredible year (even if the economy is a tailspin)! It's about time that LEGO realized that AFOLs don't want their MOCs populated exclusively by male minifigs. Quote
Dadster Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Man-o-man!!!!!! That Troll hag/witch/queen is sweet! And the Mermaid...*drools* Quote
Pencoin Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 This is great I only have one female fig and no female hair. Could the mystery theme be SpacePolice 3? Quote
Brainbox Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 It's about time that LEGO realized that AFOLs don't want their MOCs populated exclusively by male minifigs. Heck, most of us would be happy to just be surrounded exclusively by a load of hot female minifigs. Quote
Shoc Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Heck, most of us would be happy to just be surrounded exclusively by a load of hot female minifigs. Most, or just you? Well I think it's great we're getting more girls anyway - sexual equality for Lego! :skull: Quote
Sandy Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Heck, most of us would be happy to just be surrounded exclusively by a load of hot female minifigs. That has to be one of the most pathetic lines I've ever read or heard. Seriously. Quote
Pencoin Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Most, or just you? Me and Brainbox at least . Quote
Freddie Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Model Building Secrets has a picture of the new pirates girl at their blog. To say the least; she looks tough! Quote
VBBN Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Model Building Secrets has a picture of the new pirates girl at their blog. To say the least; she looks tough! Now THAT is an awesome fig. Quote
hewkii9 Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 That has to be one of the most pathetic lines I've ever read or heard. Seriously. It is a pretty bad pickup line. I prefer the one about the polar bear personally. That Pirate Girl looks awesome! I hope she's in the Shipwreck. Quote
WhiteFang Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Hinckley, thanks for listing out the new 15 female minifigs which will be coming in 2009. Can't wait to discover these minifigs. Female minifigs are very handy to be included and diversify across your playsets as it's pretty uncommon. I must admit that TLG is doing very well, to capture the hearts' of every LEGO fan out there. Model Building Secrets has a picture of the new pirates girl at their blog. To say the least; she looks tough! Thanks Freddie. I am supposed the new Pirate girl is one "tough looking". I am impressed. Quote
blueandwhite Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 So, am I correct in assuming that the new bar maid and the new pirate girl have the same torso? From the looks of things, the bar maid's torso print is incomplete (she's missing the bra straps that the pirate girl has). I suspect this might be a misprint as the fig in the prototype pics and the actual display has the aforementioned straps. If this is the case, this early fig might be a potentially rare misprint. Here's hoping that a few more of these figs end up surfacing on brickshelf in the coming days. Quote
