Sammael Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I'm looking into purchasing 7893 at some point, and I'm wondering which runway baseplates will work with it? I have the 6392 Airport (which I intend to expand and turn into a large airport), but I'm pretty sure its runway is too small for this behemoth. Also, does anyone have any comparison pictures, for instance a comparison between 7893 and one of the older Lego passenger planes? Thanks! Quote
pr0visorak Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Can you please include a picture or link to what you are talking about because I have no clue on what you are talking about. Quote
Zorro Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 (edited) You want to buy this plane and you have this airport.. I think they will go together yes, they are a fine match. I would suggest making some more runways if I were you, by buying (or I you have them already) some simple baseplates. Perhaps you could put these on the other side of the airport. Might I suggest expanding the airport as well, if you have the bricks, time and creativity? I think this way you would have a cool, large airport ! Edited October 6, 2008 by zorro3999 Quote
Siegfried Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I wouldn't advise it. I have both sets and 7893 is just plain huge. I haven't got any pictures of the old plane with it, but I do have some with the new 4997 Creator set. It has a six-wide plane... (Notice my tug? ) ...and it's still smaller. The tailplanes on 7893 are about the same size as the wings of the plane in 6392! While I don't regret buying it, it has been hard to integrate. I'll be picking pieces off mine soon... The best way I can see to integrate this into a layout is to do what Dr. S did..... Quote
