cagri Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 (edited) Hello nice people of Eurobricks, it's Cagri here. I'm a 22-23 year old "gentleman" from Turkey. I've been studying economics for 5 years and it's my last year now. Hopefully I'll start my Phd degree about Turkish History next year. I'm also a swimmer and I'm quite interested in cinema. My main goal is to become very rich and conquer the world and rule my empire of blood and tear - kidding of course, all I want to bring is teddy bears and chocolate. My interest in Lego started when I was a cute little child. My parents bought me brick buckets and town sets then came the rest. I never had dark ages, I practically spent my life playing with silly plastic toys. I'm mainly interested in Technic and Castle themes. I'm remotely interested in space too. I collect SW sets for the pieces and trade the figures for more parts. I prefer to build MOCs rather than displaying sets. I have a mid-size collection of 70k-80k pieces. My biggest regret is refusing 6285 Black Seas Barracuda for my birthday gift. I prefered a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles van instead, they were very popular back then :) I'm an occasional poster on Classic-Space & Classic-Castle forums and Technic Bricks blog too. I'm often found in the Bricklink chat room and I run a tiny store over there as well. Last year I opened my web site and blog and a few months ago I founded the Turkish LUG which is still not so active but good for a start. We're a small community but I hope we'll get bigger once we can afford the expensive Danish toys :) You may find the links in my signature and you may find me by the nick legoadam or cagri in many other Lego related forums/blogs/sites. Laters peeps! Edited October 7, 2008 by cagri Quote
Guss Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 hello and welcome Cagri ^^ My main goal is to become very rich and conquer the world and rule my empire of blood and tear let me do it with you, even if it's a joke :P My biggest regret is refusing 6285 Black Seas Barracuda for my birthday gift. I prefered a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles van instead, they were very popular back then :) omg ... you refused a BSB , that's ... no... I can't say more ( bsb is my favourite set of all times^^ ) anyway, welcome to eurobricks, and don't forget to show us your mocs! Quote
Zorro Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 (edited) My biggest regret is refusing 6285 Black Seas Barracuda for my birthday gift. I prefered a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles van instead, they were very popular back then :) I would not say that out loud....remove it as fast as you can by editing it .. then PM me and Guss and we edit our messages too... There is an evil, wicked pirate admin that lurcks these boards (I'm not going to give a name but his name sounds a lot like "Bonerparties") that could ban you at once if he gets to read this... It is said he even bans people for using the word "megablock", or "enlichten". He is often referred too as the spawn of Satan ! (a joke, at least I HOPE....normally he is as sweet as icecream ) I'd love to see your MOC's. Edited October 7, 2008 by zorro3999 Quote

Captain Green Hair Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Hello nice people of Eurobricks, it's Cagri here. I'm a 22-23 year old "gentleman" from Turkey. Ah so you haven't decided how old you are yet? Welcome to eurobricks! Quote
cagri Posted October 7, 2008 Author Posted October 7, 2008 (edited) Hehe :) Thank you for the nice warm welcome. I'll have to do the math for my age, can't say for sure! And I prefer not to talk about BSB any more, it hurts me enough. Some of you have already commented on one of my MOCs, Battlestar Galactica Raptor: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=21860 I'll try and publish more creations once I can spare time. I'm also trying to get a gold tag from the Reviewers Academy and that's actually how I started posting here on this forum. Even though I've been a member for a longer time I wasn't posting. It was a nice move for some AFOLs who lacked the motivation to talk :) Edited October 7, 2008 by cagri Quote
Zorro Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 I love that Raptor...but I have stated that already in your thread. I am going for a golden tag too, but i'm afraid I can't produce more then, let's say, 1 review per week, since I first have to build all those sets for my review and i want to do some of the larger ones from the Pirate theme. Currently i'm working on the Skull's Eye Schooner and Sabre Island. It's good that we can follow such lessons about writing reviews and taking photo's for free. It's a real stimulance for me as well, and Eurobricks gets larger "exposure" and more activity, so it's really a win-win situation ! Quote
VBBN Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 What..? I could of sworn you were here before. Anyways welcome. May I ask, how did you join October 8th when it is the 7th here in Michigan?? Time zones make a real difference. So, welcome in advanced. Quote

Lego12 Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Why was this topic started today then? A late welcome perhaps? Agreed. Well anyway I welcome you to Eurobricks! Enjoy the site and follow the rules! Quote
WhiteFang Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Cagri, it's never too late to drop a welcome. I thought you had introduced yourself one year ago. It's nice to know that you enjoyed the Reviewers Academy, and is aiming to strive to be a teacher, wearing a gold tag one day. Keep up the good work. As always, your reviews are enjoyable to read. See you around. Quote
KimT Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Hmm another one I missed... Welcome to Eurobricks cagri. Looks like you've fitted right in here Quote
