Hi!

Recently, I took a look at my collection and realized that it needed sorting, bad. So I went out to the store, bought 35 boxes, and decided I should start sorting by color. Sorry I didn't get pics of it before. Take a look.

That is all the boxes sorted by color. Now I am trying to rebuild my display, trying to get some sets. If you have any you'd be willing to trade, PM me.

This is my sets and some minifigs so far.

Here is my second shelf, needs ALOT of work.

That's where you guys come in, if you got doubles of set that would look good on my shelf, PM me. Maybe we could make a trade.

Hope you guys like the pictures :)

rebuilding all of your sets must take a loooot of time, if you want... you can send me some of yours boxes and I'll help you rebuilt it :P or maybe keep it for me ^^

You are a bragger...

No, no, not true, I just really need to buy me some plastic boxes too, I keep them stored in "Banana-boxes" now. You know, the "chiquita" ones :classic: .

But i tend to loose some due the holes that are getting into them (they're old...).

Nice job, ExoBuilder! I'm in the middle of a major sort myself which I foolishly began on the floor. My back is still in agony! Dining room table sorting only from now on!

I also use those "shoebox"-size sterilite plastic boxes for bricks and think they work great. They're about $1.50 or so at Wal-Mart here in the states. Check out the clearance back-to-school racks right now, too. I picked up a bunch of clear pencil boxes which are perfect for the little pieces for $0.75 each

Yea, I sorted on the ground too, big mistake :(

I got my boxes $1 a piece :D

Now you just need to sort them into pieces.

Really though, great job. That must have taken a lot of time. Last I sorted my bricks, it took just under a week of non-stop sorting. Your collection however looks to be at least 4 times bigger than mine. *huh* So how long did it all take?

The other great thing about those shoebox-size boxes is that they fit and stack perfectly in those $1 re-usable shopping bags that are becoming so prevalent in grocery and big box stores. You can put a partial project in the box, snap it shut, throw it in the bag and you can be off to a Lego building party .... or whatever.

Great Job with your sorting. I know from experience that it's a long process. It's definatley worth it though. If I can offer one bit of advice, as you acquire more brick, sort it as often as possible. I haven't been very diligent in sorting my brick that I've been acquiring for the past while, and now trying to sort it all is very daunting.

Congratulations on getting sorted! I'm envious. Is there any particular reason you choose to sort by colour instead of part?

Thank you! Yes, being 14, I have very little funds. This way, it was not too expensive.

Thanks! That is a good idea, I will keep that in mind.

Jordan, nice sort out down there.

It's a lot neater compared to me. Mine is still in a mess. For a start, you have done a pretty good job to tidy up your stuff.

I just started to sort the pieces I buy from pickabrick and from the lego store since I only get small quanities and the smaller pieces. One day I will start to break the kits apart and put them in bins. As it stands I have them in separate bags right now.

This is a major undertaking for anyone. Congrats on completing it.

WhiteFang knows my name! Yay, I'm so honored.

 Thank you! You just got to devote a couple days to work on it, then you have to buy the boxes :hmpf_bad:

Great job.

All you need now is a lego party to celebrate what many of us never get around to doing.
